I am disappointed Arcadia only chose this time to roll out these fixes. They should really have done them when reissuing them from the start. As a collector I want all my valks to be standardized. And as macross collectors we are always looking for the "definitive" version of the toy. So with this little constant upgrades and with the "premium" versions it kinda leaves us collectors in a bad spot. I don't want to rebuy all the toys I've had before! Hence, I've decided to stop buying and following Arcadia unless they do a V3 version. -
Should we wait for the premium version?

Honestly, the one on the left looks just as good! Having said that, anywhere still have one for sale? For those that got one from online retailers does anyone know where I can one shipped with the brown box carton? Spotted a couple at yahoo auctions. Have one finger on the trigger. lol

I have a spare version of the tinted canopy. How hard is it to swap? Possible?

TBH guys, I'm still not sure if I can pull the trigger on this. Heart says yes, brain (and wallet) says no! I mean it's nice to have but not absolute necessary. I already have the earlier VF-1Ss. It might also signal to Arcadia that its ok to jack up prices for premium versions. And tbh, the no steps on the wings are a bit too much I reckon! lol

I would say keep it. Keep at least one for the memories like I did. They were the pinacle (and I would argue they still are) of Macross toy engineering back then so I say they are worth a keep.

Yeah, I know it's based off a video game hence why I thought it was a limited release.

Is the YF-30 a limited release hence the price now? Any chance of a re-issue?

Props and much respect to Arcadia for making this. Good to see their commitment Macross but at this price it's really hard to justify. While I can understand why this is expensive, I question their sales strategy for this - seems like they are not going for quantity. I'm sure many Macross fans will buy this if it were priced at say $30 - $50. After all, this doesn't have to be a fancy toy. It can be a cheap snap together kit like Gundam. It's not like we're going to be playing much with this. It's gonna just be for display and diorama purposes at most.

I'm disappointed that the new Premium finish didn't include the tinted rainbow canopy of the original V2. I thought that was a real distinguishing feature and my has held up well over the years. Anybody else thought that was cool?

I think Spanner's right. It's got something down to do with the plastic composition. My valk's hardly seen the sun. Been displayed a couple of weeks at most and straight back into the box. So if anyone's looking for a VF-25F Alto PM me. lol

Hey guys! Is the VF-25F prone to yellowing? I opened mine to have a look at the when new and put it back into the box but I took it out again last night I noticed that the cockpit and the crotch area is a bit yellow?!? It's very very slight though.... so just wondering...

I have to admit the VF-2SS Nexx looks awesome on my shelf. But I do feel like slapping myself everything I think about the $400 AUD I spent on this thing. $200 maybe but $400?!?!? *insert crying emoji here* I also shake my head in disbelief when I think about the tail fins on this thing. WTF were they thinking? How can anyone justify this thing!?!??!?
