  6. hey guys, a few of you showed intrest. here is the new and improved model, hope you like it. some stuff is still rough obvously, anyway, i'll let the pics talk for themselves.
  7. Yeah, I'm talking about Bruce Wayne, too. He is a billionaire, not some guy determined to make a giant, shiny, nonsensical fetish machine. The "loose" armor look is a design choice, just as is just about everything involved in a Batman movie. To me, it doesn't look at all as if it will fall apart at any minute. It looks far tougher than previous Batmobiles. I stand by my argument that this looks like a more "realistic" choice for a one man war on crime to drive around in and kick ass. The Batmobile (as the comic defined and Burton's film updated) was obviously created to cater to certain "hot rod" car fetish. Slick paint job, Bat logo prominently displayed, bubble windows... none of that really does anything other than look like it was designed by a car-rabid kid in the 50's. The Burton Batmobile is far from functional, by the way. It drove up the side of a building... how? Doesn't matter. Armor plates cover the whole vehicle in an instant... how? Doesn't matter. This movie is taking a more realistic take on Batman, and this vehicle looks like it could do more than show up at car shows and look cheap. while i agree with you over all, you kinda missed the point a few times. yes.. the burton bat mobile is not nearly (in appearance) as functional as this new thing looks. it had no ground clearance, apparently bad visibility (well so does the new one..) this new thing can jump and stuff, thats pretty functional. your argument that the burton bat-car is "not functional" because it can drive up walls and armor itself, is incorrect, both of thsoe things would be VERY functional if they worked! i think you mean "not realistic" or "not plausable" or something. but i like the idea of the batmobile being a sleek tankish monster car, just.. that doesn't mean it has to be but fugly
  8. thats my opinion too. an analogy could be like with starwars. at first it was the rebels vs the evil empire. cool now its someone.. and jedi, vs trade federations and.. something... there is a senate involved and... a chancellor... and... diplomats.. a queen, a FAKE queen... 100,000's of boba fetts'...and... storm troopers are good guys... in both cases they took simple, relatively tight storylines and in my opinion added a bunch of wishy washy crap. . Dude, that's kinda twisting words. I could easily say: In the prequels it was the Jedi versus a mysterious Sith Lord. In the OT now it's the Mon Calamari, some ex Senators, a farmboy, and smugglers vs the empire and something... there is a senate involved, an emperor, and bounty hunters, a princess, 100, 000 Tie Fighters,...and Clone troopers are bad guys. There's many other, valid, reasons to dislike the Star Wars movies. i disagree, but thats OT, feel free to IM me and we can bash the hell out starwars ep -4

  10. that thing looks like a mclarin f1 with a +5 lame modifier super cars have exhibited absolutly no need for an extra set of wheels, i'm thinkin this is fake, or a SERIOUS mistake by someone with some influence *** edit *** i guess i'm wrong, these look real but its hard to tell since they are small, could be composited. i'm not over convinced by these "on the road" pics. but... also i don't see how adding a second set of rubber, wheels, rotors, calipers, and suspencion to the front of the car is supposed to reduce weight. what ever, i still dont' like it.
  11. someone should tell hollywood that you can't just make something with random, ugly plates everywhere, large fins, mishapen windsheild and utter bizzarness and expect to get away with it by calling it "a stealth vehicle" NOW THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO PICK OUR TANK UP ON RADAR SWEET!
  12. well.. i like what they were going for, but why is it so messy? why not give it a body? why all the random jutting metal? why.... why? i like the rear view, though.
  13. DH, wanna post the pic of the 24 f-14's? i'd like to see that. **edit** don't keep me waiting so long next time.
  14. dont' these images look just a little dirty to anyone else?
  15. "rick hunter" looks like Atreyu from neverending story.
  16. yeah same here, i think it looks nice, sleek, pretty bad ass. but jesus, anything more than 100... even 100 would be a bit much.
  17. zero, i'm almost positive they decommissioned the last battleship... missoura :-) not too long ago. sad to see them go. its amazing to think something built to fight ww2 fought in desert storm.
  18. yeah really, i can't wait to rig and move this guy.
  19. it's my own design, for an animation class i've never modled before so i was just so proud of it, i figured i'd subject it to some picking apart online to put me back in my place :-)
