YEah but my experience is that the motor aint all that if the driver sucks.... if that aint the truth.. i raced a guy, me in my chevelle and him in his BMW m5 or something. he missed two shifts. knuckle head. 60k+ bmw beat by 6k 30 year old small block... priceless this... vs This and trust me, he was trying, i should have lost, i'm not saying my 350 is faster, i'm saying that guy didn't know how to drive.

i'd llike to make a comment on this line of thinking: the fact that this plane was designed after the original is not the reason it looks more advanced. Kawamori is a professional mech designer, there is NO reason he couldn't have gone and made something that looked clearly less advanced than the VF-1. (i say clearly, because there are plenty of people who find the vf-0 to look more advanced) its clear that the VF-0 has alot of styling traits much more similar to LATER valkyries than the VF-1. Kawamori is a person i'm sure has the skill to ignore later itterations of his designs and create something blocky and old school looking like the VF-1 but he actively decided not to go that rout. the VF-0 looks the way it does for cool factor, plain and simple. i'm sure Kawamori probably likes his later designs and always wants to be doing something new. this theory that "because the animation of today is so advanced, the dogfights can't help but look super slick" is a total farce. thats like saying that with todays animation, it would be impossible to animate biplanes looking clunky in the air. if they had WANTED to, the production team could have made the VF-0 look like it was not performing on the level as the VF-1 but they decided to just go for the cool looking fights and not worry about weather the VF-0 appeared to be flying circles around VF-1 i offer this example. say, for a moment, you were to take footage of the VF-0 and the VF-1 doing dog fights in the serise. take both of these to someone totally un affiliated with MACROSS and show it to them. wich do you think they would consider the more advanced fighter? the VF-0 looks and acts the way it does because it's cool, not because it makes sence. it has nothing to do with the level of animation, skill of the animators, which one has which engines, or which one existed first in the timeline. its a design choice, and thats all there is to it.

im all for re-animation so long as: 1: ORIGINAL model sheets and orthos are used. i want them to look the same, but animated well. 2: it MUST remain 2d. SDF: Macross is a 2D animation. 3: if possible, it should be reanimated, but use the same audio track as much as possible, IE: dump the video from the original show, keep the audio and simply re-animate the serise. some additions would be nice but only where ABSOLUTLY nessesary. like when minmay sings a new song, make sure its actually a "new" song :-) this is what i'd like to see done. (i know it won't happen)

i know its nitpicking, but its really hard for me to sift through your "sub vs dub " section with all the unfamiliar names, maybe you could do them like this? thanks though, i love your reviews i find tons of anime i'd never come across on my own this way :-) thanks!!!

aside from being flashy, what good is that manuver other than the theoretical dog fight. would that help dodge missles or soemthing?
-
i've never understood the hood pins on an import. did you take the stock latch out? if not, then doesn't that just add weight? be-it not much. but still. car looks good though, don't listen to people about lowering it. lowered cars look fine sitting still or on a race track, but look pretty silly bouncing down the road on a surface street. i'd keep it where you got it. just remember, the hella dope rims won't help you stop :-)

neat manuvoring, but god damn if the editing on that first video isn't annoying. where's that plane from?

never never never ever ever ever use lensflair. ever.

it still has me fooled, i fancy myself at being pretty good at telling CG from real life, and even knowing that is CG, i can't find anything to give it away (aside maybe from the way it looks like it would fall over backwards due to center of gravity.. but thats it)

that site says there is a playstation 2 game in the works called Super deminsinal fortress macross, featureing the purple valk squadron? huh??? is this for real? PS2 game... hmm maybe this is old news, dunno -
if i was into getting tattoos, id have tons, like everwhere, and i wouldn't mind throwing a macross kite in there someplace. BUT i'm not really into tattoos, i might get something one day, but if i only have a select few tats, i'm not going to get a logo from a tv show or movie. not that there is anything wrong with it... a friend of mine is covered in batman and vasques drawings (and a big hawaiian girl on his side (??) ) so to each his own, its just not for me.

does anyone know if they'll ever make some of the Samurai Mechs that go greased in like the first episode? i know they're like the weakest of the entire line, but damn if they arn't the coolest looking with their traditional looking weapons and armor. have any of those been released?

i've always had a thing for the R-types also, the taidan fighers from homeworld are cool too. here is a scout or something, the fighters look just like this but with a big "strike" style cannon on the side. -
New High Maneuver Missile (Circa 2040-)
KingNor replied to Aurel Tristen's topic in Movies and TV Series
I see.... I stand corrected then. Thank you. Yeah but the definition says or, meaning it could be but not always. what it means is: of the back toward the back on the back in the back OR near the back of, toward, on, in, and near are all refering to the back. "near the back" isn't a seperate description. whew.... i though diagraming scentances was stupid. -

all the voices variants (cept the english version) ARE AWSOME expecially the chello version. that definately represents mac plus for me, obviously. voices is probably the theme i assosiate with valkyrie good-ness, the "Tiny White Dragon" is Macross though.

ok... if they made a fully functional 1:1 scale toy (hehe toy) that could fly and fire maybe some missles. i'd save up for one
