  1. friend pawned me his jetfire so he could pay rent [bought beer instead] trying to track down the missing armor bits to complete his I come across a reissue vf-1s. Reissue 1s led me here. I completed that jetfire by buying a jetfire with some armor on ebay. GGreat... completed one but had one missing armor. Bought one with some armor to complete that one and... I have a lot of jetfires . Anybody got anyjetfire parts while I'm here . While I was at it I scored the reissue 1s, and pretty much any 1/55 I could get my greedy hands on. Still need some though. Same friend was the one who got me into spawn [the bastard] because he had cool gory toys on display AND a girlfriend. My wife is happy that the house doesn't have the spawn wallpaper the apartment did Pretty much macross and a very select few g1 transformers and vintage gundam is all I collect. I refuse to buy any more spawn until mine are at least worth retail . On a side note when my friend graduated college I was able to give him his own jetfire [now complete and boxed] for a graduation gift.
  2. originals or just regionless discs that will play on your x-box/dvd player?
  3. I've never seen a Bandai Max or Millia come with super armor, only the VF-1s. Is that correct? you're absolutely right, oh my bad, i was thinking of the yammies. correction: there are no bandai max and millia super 1J. I was about to say something... as for the $100 vf-1s... Yeah you over paid but it's only a mistake if you don't learn from it. Also there was a time not that long ago when a joon's sold for more than $100 and bandais were something only the rich could afford. also keep in mind that most of us have gotten hosed one way or another... even my cheap ass. I've added a few "craptacular" pieces to my collection for money that would have been better spent on more bandai's LOL. I have a pile of things I'm ashamed to have purchased because I didn't know better at the time. Heck... one or two ebay auctions I paid for the item and not shipping because it wasn't worth having period so I'd let them sell it again and consider it a learning experience that I should pay attention to what I'm bidding on and always read the item description. I've also gotten some deals that would make the seller cry if only they knew so it works out on average I guess. anybody want to trade something for 2 loose smaller transforming cyclones
  4. thats why you need to go to the MW Cons. but the cost of traveling to the MW Cons is money I could/will be spending on toys. Not that I wouldn't enjoy smacking a couple friends upside the head oh yeah... here's the old legion pic twas only a portion of a collection I aquired from a guy who must have spoiled the heck of of his kids. I got 9 glaugs from him and battletech mini's by weight
  5. 3 to have their posts edited for mentioning the various ways to make them blow up
  6. Ahhh, but do you have a "never released" Bandai 1/55 protoype hand sculpted Tomahawk? without pics the claim is meaningless. heck... I could say I have a bo staff that can [and has] gone through car doors but without a pic who cares... Thats like me claiming to have a 185lbs draw crossbow with a laser sight, a harpoon, a bunch of masonic swords, a silver bullet, some full tangs, a 67 camaro, a squirrel that eats out of my hand, 5 20lbs plus house cats, a 20lbs pet catfish, a hot wife, 2 jobs which both overpay me, etc... without pics I'm just talkin out my butt... no offense actually I just wanna see a proper 1/55 destroid. note... the above is untrue My 29" albino channel cat died easter day and took my 20" lima tiger shovelnose and two pan fish with it. What a fun easter... burying fish under palms sooo many dead fish... so many palms... stupid hurricanes
  7. In relation to my own collection ... Does that mean massiveness [sheer numbers] ... YES Totalness [one of everything ever made] ... YES Cost [whoever has all three beta versions ] ... KIND OF; but not necessarily all three beta versions Or what? ... YES ahhh but do you have a tomahawk with headers????
  8. You talking bout Tony? Yep he is tha man I guess. dood!!! say something!!! anything? Anything...??? It's not nice to toot one's own horn, but if there is something you want to say .... go for it! haha, not that kind of anything. I guess the world will never know about your collection..... I guess the world will never know about your collection..... slightly licked tootsie roll pops? I did want to clarify something though... question posed was "craziest Macross toy collection?". Does that mean massiveness [sheer numbers], totalness [one of everything ever made], cost [whoever has all three beta versions ] or what? My collection doesn't come close to any of the above but it's probably "crazier" than 99.9% of the folks out there who don't merge macross toys with other toys out of boredom
  9. and that would make it worth the price???? maybe if it was at the playboy mansion in the grotto
  10. damn!!!!!!!!! that would work so well as the king of my battletech/macross chess set... but $50 for the two kings seems ever so slightly steep to me
  11. what he said. mixing on it as you go has great benifits and a few drawbacks. + is kit looks sweet as heck... - is it's real damn hard to duplicate. It's all about the washes
  12. I think you've got me beat there, it appears to be a Nousjadeul-Ger shoulder cannon but its not the one from the Imai kit which is the only model of the suit I am familiar with. I'm quite a fan of the Citadel acrylics too, they cover really well and they have the best shelf life of any paint I've ever tried, I have a pot of Titilating Pink which must be 15 years old now and still perfectly useable. think outside the box... many a gi joe vehicle was sacrificed in my teens. Now I have no friends with old joe toys in the basement I can have for free so I abuse spawn figures
  13. I don't have kids yet but I think I'll be that dad as well. my problem is 6 large cats. The runt is 18lbs and the largest 25. I'm already preping for a kid. Have the one room of the house where the door is always closed and nobody is allowed, except the wife [barely]. Keep all my collectibles, toys, and weapons there. I hear horror stories about kids throwing valks at wall... last thing I need is a rugrat playing with throwing stars or a sword . Back in the apartment I could tell who was a bad parent and who wasn't... If they brought a kid into it I knew they were bad. I came home to the neighbors 4yr old girl swinging around a katana unsupervised... time to move.
  14. Actually your right. I'm now thinking those mobile homes shipped on those huge flatbed trailers. Yep, I'm livin' in my own toy. Would be a be-atch to transform though. Unless is has it's own transformation engines. Then my home inside could be trashed just like the city inside Macross when it transformed the first time in the TV series. Just make sure your outside before you throw the switch. Don't want to be crushed inside. great... now somebody is going to buy a mobile home and customize it. Even a non-transforming one would probably lower the neighbors property values LOL. wish I had more land
  15. that was damn fast. wish my questions even got looked at
  16. don't know... I know the scale of the matchbox gllaug/tactical/everything isn't quite accurate but... if a 1/55 valk in battroid mode is 9" and the glaug is 12... wouldn't the scale still be the same ratioo... IE a 1.45 regult would be the same ratio "much bigger" in comparison?
  17. not just a d***head, but a thihk-headed stubborn d***head who never learns. Schmeg u by the way
  18. bonus points if you can figure out where the canno came from. Still rotates and pivots to. I was real proud of the spikey nose platform... till it got stored to long anyways. Used to have a snotling up front with a blunderbuss hanging on for dear life LOL. I still use nothing but citadel paints. And let me tell you it isn't easy tracking down colors they haven't made since the early 90's
  19. Thanks, I mainly hand brush myself, I do have an airbrush but it is cheap and nasty and I'm not sufficiently skilled with it to use it for much more than basic coverage so all special effects are done with good old-fashioned bristles. Due to popular demand I will post a "how to" in this forum as soon as I get a chance to do some painting and take a few "in progress" pics. The Space Marine is one of my CG works, my actual GW figures rarely paint up so good in the real world. I was gonna say that I thought I recognized somebody used to citadel paints when I say the first page. Motling, drybrushing, and washing are what it's all about. I spent many a day happily painting 40k figs and battling them... up till got banned anyways. Mount one interplanatary defence cannon on an ork battlewagon and damned if they don't revise the rule books unlike somepeople who managed to hang on to all their stuff... I have only the one original piece of my gaming days which suffered much in the decade it was stored...

    CUSTOM VF-19

bandai/yammie/of ko? yep... that nice I can't tell what it was
  21. you partitioned an external??? an external usb??? I pray to god you didn't fat32 it. Why would you partion an external anyways? IF your mixing os that could be part of the problem. Multiple hd's is easy... as is a dvd burner. circuit city... 160gig internal for $50 after rebate. Back it up on an internal whenevr possible and use externals strickly for transfer. God forbid you fall in a pool with it
  22. chowser... nah... he's a law abiding citizen so I know you only use it for imports I have a friend who does install but to be honest he could give a f_ck about psx2 now that the x-box is wide open and the mame emu works
  23. I'd say read through this forum for a start. There are those who love oil and those who love water, those that love airbrushing and those that use hair. I personally recomend citadel paints as they are water based acrylic... you can whipe it off with water when you make a mistake... though if it's dry you have to soak it... and with the citadel sealer when your done the pats are water proof! I know 'cause I made a snowglobe back in the day. Easy clean up and low initial investment. Practice before investing a lot of loot insomething you don't really need. there are a few painting guies on this forum... somewhere
  24. I have a 1/100 fokker special super valk kit with strike cannon. It's the arii version but the box has taken some wear. All parts still sealed. It's one I had left over from making armor for my 1/100 variable toy valks. I'd happily trade it for something I could use
  25. damn... only one kit... make it to go with my 1/100's or with my JM's... thats a tough decision anybody got better pics of it?
