  1. I believe it's a safe assumption at this point that all future V2s will have 1/48 style crotches. Now if only they'd confirm they reworked the shoulders some how...
  2. um, sh002, did you not see the pictures of the wedding outfit pilots? That was our first indication that they were making the virgin road 1D.
  3. LOL, because you HAVE to buy them the second they're released. This is a blessing in disguise, ask one friend/family member to buy you Milia for the holidays, and another one to buy you Max... then you'll have both and not have paid a penny. All you have to do is stomach being without something you don't need for two months... maybe even a little less.
  4. Yammy's 1/60 YF-21 is nearly pure win. I'm let down about the guns on the VF-22 but otherwise I'm really looking forward to it.
  5. It's impossible without alien technologies in just about every facet you could conceive. You could build a big, lumbering, easy target but it'd be easy pickin's for every tank out there. Most mechs don't make much sense... transformable mechs tend to make even less sense...
  6. If that's the first you've seen of an MPC VF-1 then you're lucky... but also a bit behind the times... i think they came out in like 2002.
  7. This isn't anything near official but I understand there is going to be a bit of a break between the Beagle Ley and Beagle Fuke toys. I'm guessing since they won't have the Beagle Yellow ready for Xmas season they'll push Fuke back quite a bit to throw her right in the middle of the big buying season.

  10. I like the 1R head... bastardization or no.
  11. They've released the following already: 1) SDCC07 Exclusive Hikaru VF-1S (non-strike, non weathering) 2) Wave 1: Hikaru 1A, Max 1A, Roy 1S 3) Wave 2: Hikaru 1J, Max 1J, Miria 1J 4) Wave 3: Max Fast Packs, Miria Fast Packs, DYRL Strike Armor, TV style armor 5) Wave 4: VF-1S Roy Strike, VF-1S Hikaru Weathering Strike, VF-1A Super Valkyrie and... 6) SDCC09 Exclusive Stealth Strike VF-1S
  12. It's primarily a lighting effect, the same thing you'll see when people use bright lights to photograph Bandai's DX line. It's probably not noticeable under natural light conditions but it might be something to consider if you're going to have the toy in an extremely well lit display case. Generally it's caused by two different compositions of plastic being used so the toy manufacturer then has to choose if they want the toy to look right in a natural setting or under extreme light.
  13. Looks like i'm in for a long haul too, i ordered mine with the VT-1 which just got delayed 2 months
  14. I would guess we will see a LV scheme some day... I think they're going with the odd color gray blue as to help differentiate it from future LVs. I kind of like their story of it being a prototype bird.
  15. I love Overdrive but from experience with other vendors I've given up entirely on waiting on anyone to get stuff back in stock. It's never up to the stores, it's up to the suppliers, and more often then not the suppliers are terrible at communicating when more stock will be available.
  16. These were the only 1/48 issues that spring to my mind (and most were pretty rare): 1) BP8 breaking 2) The housing for the hip's ball joint breaking making legs loose 3) Little hooks on the backpack not being able to hold the pressure of the backpack 4) loose/floppy airbreaks 5) VF-1S Hikaru not having nubs to hold the backpack up
  17. To be fair, without fast packs these things are about $100, not $200 and certainly not $200+.
  18. It's a manufacture issue for the most part. If yours are all fine then they managed not to get stressed when the pin was inserted. After that the pin has a fat side to it that can eventually crack the housing as the arm moves. If you're fortunate enough to have pins without too much of a fat side then you'll be fine (but that means you've gotten lucky twice).
  19. Uh, did you mean you hope they DO create these in 1/60? I really hope they do, I'd be all over that.
  20. The Yamato scheme isn't very original and I'm sure the Toynami scheme will have trim in slightly different spots so no worries there. I'm stoked, something at SDCC I can hunt down.
  21. I know what I'm asking for for Christmas
  22. A couple thoughts on the weathering (and I've never been so brave so you can dismiss them as coming from someone with no experience): 1) The brownish color seems wrong, that makes me think it's a rusty/dirty plane rather than a worn one. 2) Should missiles be weathered? Wouldn't they be added on and removed for every mission (and probably with a fairly short lifespan).
  23. Fuke (Foo-Kay) is how the name Houquet (Hoo-Kay) in Mospeada was originally romanized by Mospeada's merchandisers. Many merchandisers today still retain the less than perfect romanization. Houquet is Robotech the New Generation's Rook. There are many mis-romanizations that have come from Mospeada like Ray to Ley and Brough Superior to Blow Superior.
  24. Not very exciting after my deluxe Beagle "Ley" review but I just updated my post on the MH Black Ride armors to include the Black VR-41 released earlier this year.
  25. Funny point, check out the image you attached and where the nose is in relation to the knees
