Just got my HMR VF-4. Is it just mine, or is it really tilt-happy when in fighter-mode with the gears? Seems to be a bit rear-heavy to be tilting up easily and often when just on table-top display and accidentally touched or poked at the slightest. The right-side engine/leg also is a bit gappy and won't close flushly unlike the left-side.
  2. They might actually do very well and can even dominate the market if they offer no-markings, regular, and pf diecast models...
  3. Yup. Can only wish Arcadia starts doing diecast models of valks and real-world jets...
  4. Not sure if that's a valid reason anymore for Bandai to make 'em TWE. Roy Focker's the most popular and always automatic best-seller in the Macross toys, yet they made the HMR-Roy a TWE. Meanwhile, the HMR Timp has been a perennial shelfwarmer since even during preorder. Same with HMR Brockary. Both can still be found shelfwarming at cdj, ami, and even amz-jp, iirc.
  5. Impressive ID'ing. Didn't even noticed it was the Old Crow there. Looks more like a T2-trainer specifically than a regular F-104,
  6. lol! AWESOME! Are these diecasts or kits?
  7. Nah. My complaint is just not getting why Bandai made it a twe/pbandai release instead of general release. They're the best HMRs and significantly much bettter than both the Macross-HMR and Xabungle-HMR lines. Yet Bandai decided to (continue) to pull this shop-exclusive shenanigans on it. I just don't get it. Unfortunate, but I can go without any Korchima HMR. Guess my regular cf H8 will just be enough for me for now. Prolly might still get one if I see one at ami or manda after release at a good reduced pricing...
  8. I still don't really understand Bandai's stupid allergy for insisting on making the Soltic-H8s as twe/pbandai only. Particularly these Korchima battalion, where you have to have four to recreate the team. It's like someone at Bandai really really hates the H8 (is there an echo here?) and just don't want it to get easily accessible, especially with western blokes like us. Bluefin doesn't even offer any H8s at amzn, iirc. Wishing Takara still have the Dougram-license.

You can still get the HMR VF-4 now while still saving for the DX Max-1A. Unless of course, you gonna preorder the Max-1A from pay-now sites for preorders like Anime Export or whichever else. As such, the VF-4 has always had a fugly battroid-mode. You just either accept the fugly-battroid it comes with and buy it, or you just don't buy it at all.
  10. Yeah. I reckon it's most likely the same lot that were recently going on direct flights to japan to buy and clean out the MB EVA-01 stocks from the japan-shops. Or at least, the japan shops and sellers themselves anticipating and expecting these "buyers" coming in to hoover up japan's inventory. Ain't capitalism grand?
  11. You guys see any obvious improvements on this? Haven't seen a pic yet showcasing the removal swingbar..
  12. No. That posted v1 is a very very very bad deal at $50. Especially since the backpack is broken. The only good deal with that particular item is to either give it away or throw it away. Fwiw, I still have a couple of v1s and they mainly stay in fighter-mode exclusively.
  13. Well, someone over at TD does not seem to be needing the upcoming DX Max-1A tv to scale with his DX 1J... http://toysdaily.com/discuz/forum.php?mod=redirect&goto=findpost&ptid=279440&pid=7907775

taken over at TD-forum already panel-lined his HMR VF-4, it seems... http://toysdaily.com/discuz/forum.php?mod=redirect&goto=findpost&ptid=275997&pid=7907606
  15. Yeah. Zambot is the next FA as GX-84. from pics over at TD: http://toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-279439-1-1.html
  16. I like english-dubs when they sound well and are rather pleasant to listen to. GITS-SAC, Bebop, Samurai Champloo, FLCL, even Macross Plus, etc. However, the old ADV english-vocals on the EVA series were all very and really horrible to my ears to this day. I don't even get how any body can stand listening to them. Just coz somebody knows German doesn't really equate them being pleasant to listen to. Guess I just hope Netflix's new english-vocals will correct that long-standing fail...
  17. Thanks! I do have a Mustang, but it's not diecast like the Axis birds. At least, not yet. Why not? I like 'em deployed like Isamu...
  18. Max-1A is an interesting choice for the next DX. Wonder if Bandai will bundle the missiles with it this time...

Well, don't you usually pay them with colored beads and marbles? Your item will then be shipped via the usual gray whale annual migration by CDJ...

++ Kinda amusing that some here seems to go full japan-shops/importing-newbie all of a sudden whenever there's a new Macross toy getting released as scheduled.
  21. That BW stuff and pretty much Bandai seeming decision to kill that line to start or concentrate on their HiMetal-line development that lead to the HiMetal-R line. Low sales in Japan during release, anyway, iirc. Still a bit irked HLJ cancelled my order on the Max-1A back in the day.
  22. Iirc, the "circle/pointy" adaptor on this new Arcadia launch-arm stand was actually the default male-connector used in the SV-51, YF-21, and the recent Arcadia Clear stands: http://anymoon.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/Yamato-SV51-19.jpg http://anymoon.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/YF-21 160 Box 2.jpg Jenius does not have a page for the Arcadia Clear Stand, but it's pretty much the same (or rather, improved) as the SV-51 and YF-21 stands. The Arcadia Clear Stand has an additional female-connector to accomodate the male-adaptors that came with the Yammies and Arcadia valks that aren't the Zero-V2.
