The Mac-II songs/soundtracks are pretty good. Wrt to the toys, I think only the VF-2SS was released by Bandai as a 1/100 HG(?) kit. I have not seen a Metal-Siren toy. Btw, the 19 was never in MacII. fwiw, Mac-II is not as infuriating as 7. For starters, it doesn't have monsters-of-the-week stuff. Secondly, it ain't canon so anything goes. And Ishtar's THE Macross-babe, canon or not. All things considered, the only thing really infuriating about MacII is the english-version of Ishtar's Mou Ichido Love You song. I'd warmed up to the dubs of MacII. Still weak, tho, but tolerable nowadays.

Yeah. it was meh this year compared to last year's. there weren't any pornstars on Saturday, too. Just Jessica Alba and that was an adventure just trying to survive the sardines-like squashing of the fans just to get a glimpse of her. I'll post some pics later, as I'm still trying to free up space, but here are the stuff from the Yamato-USA booth. No valkyries, tho.

errr, i don't know what you mean. The GitS-movie dubs were some of the best dubs ever done. The japanese-dubs for the movie was pretty dull in comparison. The only weak vocal in SAC was Crispin Freeman's Togusa.

The dubs were mostly excellent and in-character. Only Togusa' s dub was rather weak and lame compared to the Movie's original dub-actor. It's pretty much as good as the movie's dub. Almost the same voice-actors. But like I said, Crispin Freeman's Togusa was just really weak. Dunno why they didn't get the original dub-actor (christopher joyce) to reprise the role. But if you'd hated the movie's dubs, then you'll prolly also hate the Gits-Sac dubs.

I don't like the looping stock-footage mecha animation in M7. You know what I'm talking about. The VF-17 and the VF-19 were primary culprits during transformations/posing. The Soundforce mecha, too. It's like they took a cheap page from magical-shows like Sailor Moon to come up with that repeating animation-footage. And the way they made Milia's VF-22 blush and giggle and stuff in one episode (i think it's in the extra-episodes), C'MON! That's really crossing the line there. I don't remember Macross-TV having as much looping ridiculously-looking stock-footage of transformations (if any at all) and other stuff like the stuff you get in M7.

Minmay-DYRL is just very pretty. Simple design, but very effective. yeah. i'm a minmay-fanboy.
