  1. lol! That's not a "solution" at all and you know it. Most yammie-fans would like to give Yamato their money. Just that it's gotta be a fair value-exchange. The japan-based fans might not bat an eye about the price-gouging (they're used to it, afaik), but the non-japan fans do mind it. Gotta add the shipping-cost and whatever to that msrp, you know. I think the best solution is for Yamato to price the FP-set at Y-1000 and just PR it as an gracious apology to the fans who were extremely disappointed with all the issues cropping up with the first-edition 1/60 YF-19. It's better than not making any money out of it from most of the western-fans, right?
  2. I think it's a justifiable battyin'-n-moanin' coz the msrp (Y-5040) of the YF-19's FAST-pack/Fold-Booster is quite a stupidly and deliberately unjustified highway robbery on the fans. I mean, even if Yamato sells it for a flat Y-2000, it'll still be way too much yen for what one will be getting.
  3. btw, PowerDVD-v4 reports disc-1 has a steady 1536Kbps LPCM-2.0 Audio. What does the R2 or the R0 report as audio-levels? edit: Oh, yeah. Here's my take on ep1 of the R1. First off, I don't have the R0 or the R2. Ok. I'm listening to ep1 thru my headphones (a lowly sony mdr-v150) and I'm quite disappointed in the initial audio-quality. I'm not sure what the actual audio-quality of the other dvd-versions (R0/R2) are, but the audio-quality on this R1 in ep1 were indeed a bit crappy when using headphones. At least, with the audio in the first half of ep1. It seems like there's a more pronounced bias to the left-side. The right-side is very low. The left-side has more clearer output. A trailing left-echo was very evident when the camp-commandant was addressing the students, for example (around 7:47 to 7:58). However, the bias seems to have disappeared a little bit around after the first eyecatch (12:44 onwards) and both sides seemed to have balanced out thru the remainder of the episode-1. Fwiw, the changed bgm on Noriko's workout didn't really bother me. The original was fine, but the replacement theme was really not that bad. Of course, your mileage may vary.
  4. Just got the Gunbuster R1-edition today. Here are the pics of the stuff:
  5. fyi. just got email-confirmation from TRSI that my Gunbuster-R1 order has been shipped. check your email if you pre-ordered thru TRSI.
  6. US and Japan are in Region-A territories for Blu-Ray: http://animeondvd.com/reviews/index.php
  7. You know, I just noticed and I'm not sure if somebody already commented on this already, but the SV-51 knees are backwards when in GERWALK compared to when in Battroid mode. It makes sense because of those kneecaps/guard, but this means the legs are rotated for battroid-transformation.
  8. That is soooooooooo f'ing SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!! Wonder when Nora's and Shin's VF-0D will get the go-ahead from Yamato.
  9. treatment

    VF-1S Hikaru

Uhhh, why is this again? btw, who the heck is "Hirkaru"?
  10. Ime and depending where you live in the US, it's usually between two weeks to a month.
  11. ok, here're some 1/60 yf-19 gerwalk-lovin :
  12. Got mine today, too. He's frickin' sweet!!!!!!!!11111
  13. The news-corp owns the Valk, not Hibiki. Hibiki's also a trained and licensed valk-pilot. It's been a long while , but as far as I can remember, I believe the antique SDF-1 was operated using a program-disc. Even then, it can only barely hover and do a limited alpha-shot. Try to watch it again since of all things, M-II actually had a pretty believable reasons for the things and stuff they were doing despite being only limited to 6-eps. The question that needs to be asked about M-II was how the heck did the SDF-1 bridge survived the attack. I think the theme for M7 is to have mechas with boobies and faces.
  14. fyi. Gunbuster-R1 site is live. with trailer and stuff. http://www.bandaivisual.us/gunbuster/
  15. I got mine at Wallymart. with the 3d lenticular-card thingy. for $12, iirc. with the iron-on autobot shirt-transfer exclusive. would've been alot better if it was an iron-on decepticon shirt-transfer. dunno the other exclusives from other stores, tho.
  16. In the DYRL-scene after Misa just got done berating him and the Skull team entered to tease him, Max called Hikaru "sempai". Therefore he was second-in-command behind Roy rank-wise.
  17. I thought I posted my Classics-SS pics. Anyway, here: I didn't buy AstroTrain-Classics nor HotRod-Classics since they're quite boring to me.
  18. Amazon.jp has a cheaper listing for it: http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-language...anguage=en%5FJP My final charge came up to at least a cheaper $260 from it. Yeah. It's a bit steep on msrp and still not-so-cheap from AmJ. But I think it'll be worth it. At least for me.
  19. LET'S BOLT IN!!!! dunno if it's been posted before, but here: http://www.toei-video.co.jp/DVD/sp21/voltesv.html w00t! w00t! w00t! w00t!
  20. fyi. The Classics and 20th-Anniv Reissue were all at the Walmart here today. At walmart-prices, I bought Megs, StarScream and Bumblebee. I passed on AstroTrain (meh), Prime (too tiny) and Rodimus (too generic). For $10, SS is definitely kewl! He's got knees, for $diety$'s sake! Now to wait for the other Seekers. --- Megatron-Classics, with the other toy he was inspired from : Alt Redneck-Prime vs Nerf-Megatron Classics (they actually scale against each other nicely): for $20, I only wish Nerf-Megs got articulated-fingers and rotating wrist. And nerf-bullets. Otherwise, he's pretty kewl. Not owning the MP-03, yet, here's my current Decepticon leadership: and of course, Bumblebee:
  21. Exactly. The $12.99 and $24.99 prices on 'em at Fry's was a little too steep considering not all of them are that worthy. If I can't wait on Walmart or Target prices, I might just get Starscream and Megs.
  22. off-topic re: Prime When I felt it, the chest was die-cast, at least. Fwiw, the re-issue 20th-Anniv Hasbro-Prime has more flatter/duller colors that it seems like it's all plastic. The blue-gun doesn't help, either. It really is boring in colors and stuff compared to the first-issue. /off-topic. on-topic: I kinda like the MP-03, but I'm still quite iffy on the colors. I'll just wait for the Hasbro-version.
