  1. Actually, you got it backwards. Here: Hikaru can't fit inside the 'Dog. He's got longer legs.
  2. Unfortunately, no. It's all plastic, afaict. The only non-plastic parts are prolly just the screws. Here are the other parts (with an unpainted Chirico): Here's Hikaru trying to jack the ScopeDog :
  3. My R2-J arrived today, but I haven't had time to watch it, yet. At any rate, here are the pics: the dvd stuff the 1/48 ScopeDog-figure it came with. the 1/48 ScopeDog size-compared against a 1/48 Yammie VF-1A Valkyrie in GERWALK-mode. the 1/48 ScopeDog size-compared against a 1/48 VF-1S Yammie in Battroid-mode and against the 20th-anniv Optimus Prime.
  4. Hi, guys. Not sure if already asked, but hey! Just wondering if there's any news/info/rumors about Shin's Blue VF-0D from Yamato since I'm not that enamored with the Shin's VF-0A. Would think it'll be awesome to pair Shin's Blue VF-0D with/against the upcoming Nora SV-51 from Yamato.
  5. delivered early today instead of friday. here:
  6. yeah. this thread is going places and it'll be so very epic!
  7. Yeah. fwiw, always use the catalog-numbers to search in amazon.jp , e.g. bcba-3170 for the dyrl-box, bcba-3171 for the dyrl-single, bcba-3169 for the TV-set.

  11. iirc, Aidan in his Timberwolf with only a small laser against the ComGuards.
  12. hmmm... without digging up them old paperbacks... iirc, it was Michael Stackpole's shenanigan since, well, it's in his bt-novels where I first read about it. Yorinaga Kurita, Patrick Kell and Morgan Kell had this "ability". I can't remember if Justin Allard nor if his son Kai had it. I think Thurston's Aidan Pryde had an even more bizarro ability than this "phantom mech" thingymajig. I don't remember Keith writing about the Grayson or any of the GDL having this "ability". I guess, fwiw, just stick to Charette's novels if you want better and a bit more believable stories and stuff.
  13. It's actually listed at 11pm tonite over here in DiegoLand.
  14. I got Movie-Prime yesterday at wallymart. He was the only toy worth it among the other movie-toys, imho. Both for the size and the price ($40). Fwiw, the only other negative (other than the need-chrome/need-diecast stuff) was that his waist doesn't pivot or swivel. Other than that, Movie-Prime is really quite kewl. Blackout was about the only other movie-toy that looks kewl and stuff, but still too small and stuff for his $20. The other movie-toys were just damn fuglies. Saw Megs at Fry's, but he was just totally meh. Anyway, here are my pics of Movie-Prime with Alt-Prime and 20th-Anniv Prime:

  17. dude, thnx for the pix, but... those particular paint-schemes were already damn fugly in the other thread. they're still damn fugly in this thread. they just wasted a number of pretty good valks on those hideous monstrosity of a paint-scheme. i call shenanigans!
  18. fyi. blurbed at AOD: http://www.marketwire.com/mw/release_html_...lease_id=222544 Now pray that DYRL, Flasback-2012, and Macross-Zero (and even 7) gets included on this R1-deal.
  19. Yeah. I don't really have any issue with my 1/60 YF-19, unlike some of the louder moaners here. Sure, the gunpod-placement is crooked, but I'm not too bothered with it. Maybe a bit overpriced, but not really. It really is a good toy. At least, to me. Now however, the upcoming FP-set pricing is whole 'nother enchilada to be reckoned with.
  20. lol! That's not a "solution" at all and you know it. Most yammie-fans would like to give Yamato their money. Just that it's gotta be a fair value-exchange. The japan-based fans might not bat an eye about the price-gouging (they're used to it, afaik), but the non-japan fans do mind it. Gotta add the shipping-cost and whatever to that msrp, you know. I think the best solution is for Yamato to price the FP-set at Y-1000 and just PR it as an gracious apology to the fans who were extremely disappointed with all the issues cropping up with the first-edition 1/60 YF-19. It's better than not making any money out of it from most of the western-fans, right?
  21. I think it's a justifiable battyin'-n-moanin' coz the msrp (Y-5040) of the YF-19's FAST-pack/Fold-Booster is quite a stupidly and deliberately unjustified highway robbery on the fans. I mean, even if Yamato sells it for a flat Y-2000, it'll still be way too much yen for what one will be getting.
  22. btw, PowerDVD-v4 reports disc-1 has a steady 1536Kbps LPCM-2.0 Audio. What does the R2 or the R0 report as audio-levels? edit: Oh, yeah. Here's my take on ep1 of the R1. First off, I don't have the R0 or the R2. Ok. I'm listening to ep1 thru my headphones (a lowly sony mdr-v150) and I'm quite disappointed in the initial audio-quality. I'm not sure what the actual audio-quality of the other dvd-versions (R0/R2) are, but the audio-quality on this R1 in ep1 were indeed a bit crappy when using headphones. At least, with the audio in the first half of ep1. It seems like there's a more pronounced bias to the left-side. The right-side is very low. The left-side has more clearer output. A trailing left-echo was very evident when the camp-commandant was addressing the students, for example (around 7:47 to 7:58). However, the bias seems to have disappeared a little bit around after the first eyecatch (12:44 onwards) and both sides seemed to have balanced out thru the remainder of the episode-1. Fwiw, the changed bgm on Noriko's workout didn't really bother me. The original was fine, but the replacement theme was really not that bad. Of course, your mileage may vary.
