The set looks really nice. But I don't collect 1/60th. If Yamato ever produces the GBP in 1/48th I'll be there. The problems mentioned are too great for me to start buying 1/60ths. It seems that Yamato has corrected the one thing that bothered me with the 1/60th line. That the VF-1J now comes with a TV Hikaru instead of the Movie. This mistake from the original Super VF-1J Hikaru is what prevented me from buying that figure, and most likely ever starting my 1/60th collection. By the time Max and Millia 1/60ths came out I was too busy buying Bandai versions and waiting for the 1/48th figs. I'm glad I waited. Thanks for the pics and reviews guys. Randy

That pic always bothered me. Because it's miscolored. Most notable are the hands and the face. Randy

Man that's a nice custom. I love the details. Also the eyes are very cool. They remind me of Jetfire. Randy

Or you could try http://www.rinkya.com. They'll do the work for you. There is a service charge. But I'm unsure of how much that is having not used it. Randy

Too many crappy M7 characters before some classic SDF Macross characters. Who wants Captain Max before TV or Movie Max? That's crazy! Also, Veffidas and Ray Lovelock before Claudia. I think some of the people might be on crack. Though I'd like to see some M7Trash characters. Randy

Sweet job. Too bad Yamato doesn't have any love for Kakizaki. I guess he's not popular enough to warrant such an expensive release. Randy

i hope its not the fruity pastel purple color...man that thing is UG-LY! It is those colors in the movie. I noticed that the other day. It's that purple-ish color and tan-ish. Max's Valkyrie is the same colors when he fights Millia in the Movie too. Though I believe that is because the sun is setting when he's fighting her. Randy

Original Takatoku/Bandai Valks Diecast Content?
Powered Convoy replied to Powered Convoy's topic in Toys
That might be it. BUt I thought I remember it being diecast. My brother thinks it was diecast too. The problem is I still have it but I'm not sure where it is at the moment. It would involve me turning my house upside down to find it... Randy -
You have to do the math. They'll tell you the discount when you checkout. You can't get 10% off of shipping. Some really good deals to take advantage of. If I had any money... Randy

I already preordered mine. Though I don't know if I'll have the Q-Rau when I get mine. Randy
-
I noticed that before. It's pretty neat the little English things they put in here and there. Randy

That's so awesome! I thought it was real. Keep up the great work! Randy

Original Takatoku/Bandai Valks Diecast Content?
Powered Convoy replied to Powered Convoy's topic in Toys
Most likely right. Like I said, I'll have to dig it out. I might call my friend and ask him to check his too, as he said the same thing. I believe his is at his parents house. Randy -
Original Takatoku/Bandai Valks Diecast Content?
Powered Convoy replied to Powered Convoy's topic in Toys
Really? I could have sworn it was diecast. I'm not sure where mine is at the moment, but I do still have it. It's really beat. I was talking to a friend of mine, and he was saying the same thing about the nosecone being diecast. This is interesting...I'll have to go and find it to make sure. Randy -
That makes me want to go and get the Q-Rau more than ever now. I know I really like the look of those figures. I hope they aren't hard to get. Randy

Hey guys, I have all the Bandai Reissues, and I've noticed that my Jetfire has a diecast nosecone while all the Reissues have plastic. Now my question is, did the Takatoku and Bandai originals have a diecast nosecone or plastic? I remember that page from years ago comparing the original Hikaru VF-1J to the Reissue, but I don't remember them mentioning any difference in diecast content. So is Jetfire the exception? Thanks. I didn't see any posts about this. Probably too old of a question. Randy

My Max and Millia VF-1Js get sent out this week! I finally got myself a Fast Pack for my 1/48th VF-1S Roy this past weekend! I'm going crazy for Valkyries! I just can't get enough of the 1/48th with the Fast Packs. I'm just glad I got those TV hands for my Roy so he doesn't look silly next to the M&M Valks with those flimsy hands. Randy

Man that's cool! Those pics really make me want that VF-1S and Minmay too! Randy
-
I want a review please! And more pics! Thanks! Randy

Really Great Custom. I'm amazed at the work done. Randy
-
Absolutely Gorgeous! Man, I can't believe the work you must have put into that to get it look so nice. Excellent job! Randy

I got just the VF-1S Roy so far, but I'm getting this VF-1J, the Millia type, and hopefully the Hikaru type too. It's too bad that people say there are quite a few quality control issues with this figure. I hope mine is satisfactory at the least. Randy

is it just me or is Max's VF-1S is purple-striped
Powered Convoy replied to treatment's topic in Movies and TV Series
Up until recently I thought Max had a blueish gray helmet and Kakizaki had dark blue. Then I saw a model of Kakizaki's VF-1 I was surprised it had green stripes. The coloration is hard to tell on them due to their lack of appearances in the movie. Though Max is blue and Kakizaki is green. That's the way it's suppossed to be. Even though in that scene Max looks like gray/purple and Kakizaki blue. It all has to do with lighting. Max's Valkyrie also looks tan instead of white/gray. The lighting changes the colors. Randy -
That's great 柿崎速雄! I love it. I'm surprised that Yamato hasn't done this yet. I'm really glad you did the TV version too. I bet if Yamato does this it will be the Movie version. Though you hardly ever see them in the Movie. I'm also glad you chose green for the pilot's suit. I always felt that was more appropriate than the red versions we sometimes saw (too similiar to Hikaru). Keep up the great work! Randy

That is one sweet custom! Maybe the best Valkyrie custom I've ever seen. Really excellent job with the paint job (nice touch on the visor) and decals. I'd buy that if Yamato massed produced it! Which is saying a lot because I never have $130 to $200 to spend on 1/48th Valks! Randy
