AWW Damnit, I wish I hadn't clicked on this. It's just making me want to spend more money.

I still think that Legioss looks nice, but damn that thing is small. It looks like it's only slightly taller than a 1/144 Gundam. That plush VF-1 looks like it has a GM's head, but I still want one...

True, but if you want something to have a long life span, then you have to play the delicate balancing act of old stuff/new stuff if you want to keep things fresh. Too much of the old stuff and it gets repetative, too much of the new stuff and you alienate the "veterans". But what ever formula you use you're going to reach a point where you've done everything you could with it, by then you can either A: let it end there, B: gamble and put out something totaly out of the blue, or C: put out re-makes.

I'm simply stating that unless a series under goes some drastic change, no matter what it's only a matter of time before it reaches some point where people will start complaining that something has already been done before. Am I wrong? We have the Gundam example here, The Simpson's is also a good example, so are the countless sitcoms out there. If Macross were to follow the same formula that SDF and Macross 7 follow, with an arrogent Earth government, and some alien race suseptible to culture shock, for the next few sequels. It won't be long before people complain about repetetiveness. What are you trying to say with your last statement, you're grammers pretty shot and I can't tell what you're trying to say...

I found Battlecry's controls to be much better than VFX-2's, and unlike VFX-2 I could actualy shoot something down with the gunpod in Fighter mode. I just wish the controls were more Ace Combat-ish and there were more VFs. They could have thrown in the Legioss or the AJAX as secret units. I wish it hand more bonuses if it was going to be that short, not much replay value.

It's only a matter of time before things start becomming stale, it's ineviable for all franchises. Macross is no exeption, a few series down the road, unless Kawamori decides to totaly blind side us (music plays a small role, not much of a love triangle, UN Spacy blows the hell out of someone with sheer military might, etc...) people are going to start bitching that it's getting stale as well. Honestly I will start complaining about repetativeness if the next few Macross series (provided there are more) center around, a singer, a love triangle, music, and some foe indefeatable by conventional means.

Well it is possible they could have something to do with Kira. After all the Hyperion Gundam's pilot is also a super-Coordinator created at Mendel. Is there any word on who's running the Alliance and PLANT? I'll assume Eileen Canaver (Siegel's right hand person) is the one runing PLANT

What drew me to Gundam and hooked me on it, was the exact same thing that drew me to Macross, the mechanical designs and fight scenes.

Yes I second that. It's not that the man does crappy designs, I'm quite found of the RX-79[G] and Wing Zero. But the man just doesn't have any more ideas left, he just burned out now.

Wireless energy transffer? Sounds like the Laser Circut in Gundam X that powers the Satelite Cannon.

Not too found of that suit, though it's more for it's affiliation than design, looks too much like it would be an Alliance suit. I wish they had some design destinction between the Alliance and ZAFT Gundams. Like how the Zeon suits look nothing like the Federation's. To me that thing looks like somthing between the 105 Dagger and the Strike. That design should have been used as an Alliance or Orb suit. Any word on a new GAT-X suit?

I like Macross 7 not for the story or the charcters, but the Varuta VFs. The Full Armor VF-11, the VF-17D/S, and the VF-22S look great, but I just love the designs the Varuta units have, especialy the Fz-109F.

I had a lot of fun with LOI. If you had fun with DMC, then you'll most likely have fun with this one. Your tactics change drasticaly when you play as Joachim (the hidden character). Your whip is replaced buy five magic swords, and your attacks are medium to long range with him as opposed to Leon's in-your-face style. Solely in terms of gameplay, I rank it as the best Castlevania.

I guess they didn't pay too much attention to the Battroid modes. They don't look anything alike to me.

Fighter mode

The still look pretty similar to me. The Fz-109F looks a lot like the finished VF-14.
