It reminds me of the first year of the Macross World Forums. Most the people in that debate know what they are doing. I posted that I was watching that topic. Most of them will be watching it now. The only thing I am concerned now is that some others may want to join in. For no reason but to join in. The odds shouldn't too be stacked against someone.

Yes it was one big commercial but wasn't Transformers the Movie. Also all the G.I.Joe movie, mini series, and regular series. They always introduced the new toys in big events. There was a lot more that wasn't for sale in the older cartoons. You guys should see the Gijoe boards they have tons of fights between the 1980's psycho military pursuits and the Hasbro prison bitches. Some people are really praising it.

I thought it was pure 60 minutes of toy commerial trash. Every character and vehicle was something that you could buy. In the old cartoon they would have characters and vehicles that were not avaliable for sale but were in the story because called for it. The locations were pretty lame, a Joe Base, Cobra Base & a desert. You don't need to add details like trees, cars, houses or building in a desert. Character designs and animation was modeled more after the new figures then humans. It look more like Toy Story. The story was there one? It was pretty simple. Mind you the old cartoon had some silly plots but there was also some hints of character development.

First I don't think the Anti-UN at that time is a terrorist group. When Shin woke up on the island he asked who side the islanders were on. Like locations choosed goverment alliances to join. The Anti-UN are most likely just the different nations that don't want what the U.N.wants and aren't afraid to bend the rules of war. In Macross Zero the UN War is suppose to be over. If your gonna see conflicts it will hit and run stuff at this point. Decades later I think that they become a terrorist force only. If the Anti-Un has tanks and VF Battroid legs then there's a good chance they will have Destroids.

Include me on that list that hates that style. I'm sorry but I like traditonal animation everything else looks like cheap crap.

I think it will look like crap like nearly all cartoon network's own animation.

I always thought the VF-1 Battroid that Isamu hits with paint balls in Macross Plus was meant to be the VF-1B.

Minmay's first film had to be a low budget Movie. There was 56,000 people in Macross city at the time. If tickets were 10 bucks a piece and everyone saw it once that only $560,000. Currently a Mega block Buster (I think) are made for at least 100 million dollars now, 20 to 50 million for average 'Hollywood' production and 1 million for really low budget film. Even if everyone sees Shao Pai Loon twice we are only talking about a million dollars. What does Minmay stand to make a 100 bucks? This film also had a rush production schedule: Minmay mentions in November to Hikaru ('China town') that she going to doing a movie. Minmay is seen filming it at the end of November when Roy comes to see her (Pineapple Salad). The movie comes out in early January (Micro Cosmos). Most big budget films take a couple of months to film and several months of post production. This film could only have about a month of filming and post production. This movie had to be the quality of a TV movie of the week. 6 years from now when this movie comes to your town don't see it.

Here's a stupid question for all of you. Why isn't there a 'system' that all countries use?

Unless it seems some what important it's not gonna be left for anyone to read. If we just close them a lot people of will just try the same thing.

Everyone knows Snake Eyes should be played by Barry Williams. Richard Simmons as Cobra Commander. Mr. T as Storm Shadow, " I'm a Ninja Fool!" The Olsen twins as Tomat and Xamot. If they treat the movie as a 'traditional war movie' with a touch your generic block buster action film it could quite entertaining (They would need me to write the first draft ). But chances are it will be like street fighter with matrix special effects.

I think they were his characters designs and they weren't my cup of tea.
