odd: The Destroids are using the SDFM names i.e. Spartan, Defender (not the names from the Palladium RPG i.e. Gladiator, Raider X). Is that a clear & intentional snubbing towards the RPG (and the Miniatures game)? -
OK... I would be OK with the Tomahawk's [] SRM Rack looking it does... but WTF is with the Missile Racks on the Left Shoulder? That was supposed to be a Field Light mounted on the shoulder, not a Arrow IV Artillery Mount and a MRM-30 Rack? Are these clowns intentionally trolling Battletech?

Metallica's Disposable Heroes comes to mind. We have seen the that scene of spiraling BB's previously but having seen it in motion now, does the effect remind any of you of Fish? I wonder if that's a thing for The Galanteans (Fish, lots of fish, so much fish that you can afford to lose a thousand fish and still have BILLIONs). Yes, selfless Disposability. Only I'm sure the rank & file Galanteans have NO SAY on that. Maybe that's what Praying Naked Chick is seeking: To free the Galatean masses?

I remember getting both the Revel Robotech model kits and the Pitban 1/200 boxes in the mid 80's from TRU. It was those products that showed me that Macross was definitely something under RT's skin.

Saw it tonight with minions B & C (after a wave-off the previous week). I did like it. It was intense... and I think the people in the film are best nameless. What I was surprised to not see was gore. No major depictions of body parts. No gore. No people seen drowned inside the ships (besides brief glimpses). Not even the poor sods in the burning oil were shown with what should have been horrific burns. maybe it wasn't necessary for story narration with Dunkirk but Saving Private Ryan is still the benchmark for the true horror of warfare...

I do recall... the reason Lucas did the edited trilogy in the 90's was as a means of funding Esp. 1~3 (as well as proof of concept for some the production efforts that would go into Eps 1~3)... is this the same rational for rereleasing an edited T2?
