I can say I have built all the major grades and honestly MG is the best. PG is cool for the sheer size and detail but they suck for posing or really anything short of looking cool ona a shelf. HG is cool and great price but lack of details, features, or accessories tend to hurt it. Once I moved over to MG I was in love and will mainly stay with it. For the record I have 6 PG, rx-78, zeta, strike, red astray, wing zero, and 00 raiser.

The Unlicensed Third Party Transformers Thread

I never said your wrong or trying to debate. You are perfectly correct in everything. All I am saying as to me and apparently tons of others on various sites it's not as big of a deal and it's not going to kill my want to buy the set, which may be why TFC isn't trying better to be more accurate. They know most customers won't care as much as long as they have transforming jets the somewhat resemble their G1 counterparts that combine. If I want accuracy out of a toy I look at far superior companies. If I want to relieve childhood dreams that normally may never come true I will look to TFC and MakeToys and FansProject. Maketoys had better alt modes for their Devastator but in all I never cared for the fig as much as Hercules which I feel appeals to me better and their Superion is quickly winning me over too.- 9389 replies

Well here's the thing....other than silverbolt I don't think the overall accuracy should matter THAT much. With Hercules none of those were accurately construction vehicles. Also I am not a jet enthusiast so it doesn't botther me as much as others and considering the mass majority of buyers probably fall into my category I think it will be fine. I find that the bots and jets look pretty good to my novice eye and that's all that matters to me. Now back to Silverbolt, yeah no....that's just overall bad in so many ways.- 9389 replies

Always doubtful on a US release of Megatron as he looks too much like a realistic gun which is why the original never made it over here to begin with in TRS though US online sellers were able to sell it with the gun barrel modification need to pass US toy laws.- 17885 replies

But those are mostly color schemes or armor packs of a pre-existing fighter mold they had so why not? Sure some had to have some tweaking but it makes sense they did them even if their screen time was very small with not transformation.

Just got MP-12 Lambor/Sideswipe....while the price is high the figure is amazing. The color matching is a bit off but not as much as people make it out to be and man posing and standing him next to Hot Rod, Grimlock, and MP-10 Optimus makes it even more worth it, now I have to wait two months for Soundwave. Also here's hoping a new Megatron is in the works because my current one is so out of scale with the rest of my Masterpiece collection that it's ridiculous but he must be there for now. Also really need to get the new Masterpiece Starscream to go with all this, my other two, the original and the TRU version just don't cut it anymore. My two other seekers I don't mind them being the old mold, makes them less than Starscream as it should be in my opinion.- 17885 replies

The pegs on the arm that hold the lower half which include the hand on the right arm broke thus the lower half of the arm slides right off, but that wasn't too bad it could still be used relatively normally. What did it was the socket section that hold the ball joint on the thigh cracked making the leg fall out, I could probably fix that but is it really worth it right now? No, as i am sure another part will just fall apart or crumble, and here I was being uber careful of the hands because that was the first to go on my blue alpha.

God I hate toynami, my second alpha just crumbled just like my first while I was taking extreme care during transformation. Now I have a Beta with no alpha to place with it. Really should look into one of the offerings from the other companies unless a new one is coming.

Mine doesn't for the most part. Guess I got lucky. Extremely happy with mine though I had to do ebay for it as hunting was getting ridiculous. Now I'm waiting on Sideswipe and I need to get MP-11 Starscream next month, then one month till Soundwave after that. Prime looks great next to Grimlock and Hot Rod, and I have most of the original seekers and Megatron so the new SS and Soundwave will be welcomed editions. I will have SS commanding over the seekers and SW being a lackey to Megatron as we all know he is.- 17885 replies

So there's talks in the Transformers world that Disney is now also considering going after Hasbro....hmmm better distribution of toys in the future if this is true?? Disney is now the one Ring. One corporation to bind them, one to control them, one to rule them all.

Lol my girl knows how much my collection is worth, not only monetarily but to me as well. When times were tough she never once asked me if I would sell them. Also over time she has become more accepting of them and helps me come up with ideas to display them properly.

I was once one of those crying foul on the Marvel deal, and look what they have done with it. I am excited for this, taking Star Wars out of the hands of the man that has been tainting it. We all know the best films were the ones he didn't direct so now we will have the opportunity to put the series back on the right track. Plus as someone mentioned we will hopefully also get better Indy films. Plus I really want Disney to release the original Theatrical trilogy on Blu-Ray. If they do that they all ready justify their purchasing of LucasFilm. Gives us what we want!!!
