  1. Yup i used fighter kit wings on it to fit the missile pods on. Also if you look in the screen cap posted at the top of the page you can see the anime magic involved. The wings actually slide down on the back in relation to the shoulders so they can work. Alot of trimming and fiting would be needed in the shoulder area to get it to look close to the screencap.
  2. Nah its understandable. I know how the process works. Just keeping the idea alive. Someone may want to tackle it at a later date.
  3. I still say you should try scaling one up and seeing how it translates to 1/35 scale.
  4. Im gong to have to pull out of this for now Mike. Some unforseen things came up. I expect that his will be available for some time to come though.
  5. Possibly but if its painted like a movie model then ia may have to be seen from a distance. No offense to the mans skill just that movie model techniques are very rarely meant to be seen up close. But we will see.

Well anything not on it i can add. Also theres alot of destroid fans here who would kill for one in 1/35. Plus if the 1/72 ones are anything to go by it wouldnt be more than a foot tall at best. Clear canopy? Who needs it. Thats what silver paint and clear colors are for.

How hard would it be to tool one out in 1/35 scale?
  8. How is using the 22 for an airstrike strange? Search the things specs online and youll see its the next heavily armed MULTI role fighter second to the F-15 E and that thing can carry 15 500 lb Mk82 bombs.
  9. Looks really god and a nice subtle bit of wear on the edges too
  10. Your insane you know that right Why not just do a fiberglass shell and install real turbines in it.
  11. Bad luke BAD. No cookie. Want another comission when this one is done! JK but i do have good news. The base im at has its own flying area. Used to be an old runway. A co worker is going to help give me some flight instruction so i can get more time under my belt before it gets here.
  12. Still amazing. this is now my favorite vid. Just need to remember to keep the paint light. Maybe see if theres a thinner/lighter airbrushable acrylic out there.
  13. That is WONDERFUL luke. Now you have to go back and make all these mods to yours dont you. Just watched the vid and WOW. It is noticeably faster than yours. Love the stunts too. im not going to try that my first time out with it. This is customer satisfaction right here.
  14. Very good and sharp looking finish there.
  15. Have you tried ammonia on a brush? I know the Humbrol stuff i use is ammonia based andd gets sticky with a little windex. At worst you may have to airbrush a little touchup in the vent areas.
  16. 1 yes but be careful 2yes 3 Contact Kylwell for a really in depth outlook on it 4 Dont use just silver. its too bright. Steel or aluminum is better. Or use a dark brownish grey to simulate the grungy metal then burnish pencil graphite on the edge and raised area to get the worn metal sheen.
  17. Dont they generally look the same anyway? Just paint it like the 13. Though the ring of fire effect would be difficult to do
  18. Its a space saver in terms of reference I do have books for alot of stuff still but a simple 5 minute search online gets me what i need alot of times. Some things i need reference for you cant find in regular books either so the computer acess helps there too.
  19. Yes didnt you watch the preview link? Pretty hard to miss
  20. I knew Jiga when she flew in the 34th back on 02/03. Very easy on the eyes. Definitely a PILF.
  21. Bad news afoot from John neede someone else to post it since he is a little miffed and busy. Posted: Thu Jun 14, 2007 9:12 pm Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- URGENT UPDATE!! I've just had a horrible accident with the molds, and it looks like they are utterly destroyed after only 5 castings. Essentially, I will have to remold practically everything--AGAIN. Right now I'm just utterly devastated, gutted and dejected with myself and it'll take me a few days to get myself back on track, I'm really really sorry about this. Could someone please copy/past this on MW? I'm just too depressed to do it myself right now. _________________ I. AM. THE. KING!... Version 2.0
  22. More like Firefly with terminators. If anyone carries the series it will be Summer Glau. But i have heard that she will just be in the pilot episode. On the topic of cancellation. Years ago TV shows used to run a pilot episode to test the waters and see if it was a viable product. Then the show would continue when the next broadcast season started. These days the problem is that the studios want the series to be an instant hit and just plop it on the TV with no pilot. Maybe if they went back to the old ways we would see some of the better shows like Firefly and such lasting longer. Instead we get stuffed with crap like reality TV.
  23. The only big bump with the overall continuity between the series and T3 would be that Johns narrative at the beginnig suggests that the terminators in 2 were the last he saw until the events in T3. If they have writers good enough to gloss over that than this may work out.
  24. It seems like they are just canning the T3 story chunk but not disturbint T1 or 2. This could be a good setup for A GOOD future war movie finally though.
  25. mmmmm MK1 Monster. Slightly shorter barrels and no missile arms. All id need is the rear part of the arm, and the shoulder. d have to scratch the rest.
