  1. Ill post it publically. It isnt something easily seen if one isnt looking right. It wont give away events of the film either. Doesnt say who dies or who lives or any such. Remember how the movie is intercut with the Coney Island footage that Rob took a month before the end of the film? They "film"was taped over it but there were gaps. Well at the very end after all the big booms and such and they cut back to Beth on the ferris wheel and the ocean in the background. On the right side of the screen you see something falling from top right corner to land in the ocean next to Beths head. This wasnt a bird it was too far off shore. Rob had recorded the "impact" of the creature in whatever form a month before anything happened.
  2. Go watch the movie and find out. I have given you the hint. If you see what i am talking about in the context of the film alot of things will click into place. also why are you yelling all the time. Caps and lots of bold letters implies yelling in this case
  3. For those who havent seen it or have but missed it and want to see it again. Look to the right of Beths head in the final cony island cut when you can see the ocean behind her. Something happens to the right of her head that tells of how the monster came to be. . Im trying to not be specific and spoil it but if you blink you WILL miss it.
  4. Feeling in a retro scifi mood so i threw together Skyhook models martian war machine.
  5. Looks great man. I cant wait till i get my spartan. Then ill have 5 for 5 of the destroids. Why is it that everyone beat up their tomahawk with paint chips after i did mine up like that.
  6. Nah he is just gearing up fr the Spartan. I usually finish a moscato kit well before he even gets his I think he is going to try to beat me this time. Excellent work on the biplane. its the last macross aircraft anone thought they would see a model of.
  7. theres pics of it in its own thread on here. Just search 1/25 SV-51.
  8. Aside from some touch ups and a dull coat she is done. The dull coat should pull the contrast back on the rest of the panels and blend it all. Then ill future over the clear blue and red areas. Man the pics are 3X larger than the model actually is. It really does look smoother in person.
  9. Did they show any still frames of a nora finished one? If they showed a pink foam one doing back flips that is the second airframe. Mine hehe. Im really glad SK likes all the work that luke put into these. I have to say that the effort paid off well in the performance of the aircraft. It works as advertised.
  10. Dont have decals for the lower hull and engines unfortunately so i took the challenge and decided to see just how much of the stinkin thing i could paint.
  11. I wish but its space is already taken by a 38 inch Super Star Destroyer.
  12. I have been busy with another little project today. Literally. Its 1/1400 scale. The only decal is the pattern on the saucer. everything else is hand painted thus far.
  13. Ordered1 Finally a new macross kit on the bench. Its been over a year.
  14. its only a 2 in X 2 1/2 in (guesstimate) rectangle so if you want to give it a shot go ahead. I can get you a pic of the sign later. michaels didnt have any plain lettering in the right size. And theres 3 michaels stores within 5 minutes of me.
  15. be interesting to take a real kit of an F-4 and do that to it. didnt someone do a variable f-22 well before transformers came out?
  16. I laid down a layer of acrylic paste and then textured that with some crumbled drywall chunks. Basically the same thing. This will get painted in earth tones. Then ill cover it in a thick layer of clear matt and lay down the static grass. the clear matt finish works just as well as white glue but doesnt drywith a shine. This way i dont build up anything on the grass itself by having to go over it again. Once thats all dried i dust it with some earth tone pastels to tie it all in. Yes i painted the interior of it. I painted it nato black. With figures in the openings you wont see anything anyway. Noyhauser : Thanks. Pretty much what i had wanted to say but i said my piece already and am finished .
  17. I was thinking about it. I can easily pop it off the base it isnt guled in yet. I was going to go to michaels and see what they had in dry transfers. The only thing id leave is the arrows. They had a peculiar style to them
  18. Meh take it or leave it. Wanna flame or troll around go to hobby fanatics. I know alot of people here in person so im quite comfortable where i stand. I also have a good standing with them for some years. what have you got? Got a personal problem with me take it to the Mods or pm.
  19. What silly interior detail? Im forgetting in my old age i have seen so much work on these boards?
  20. Yes i have. Im converting the Hover truck remember. The details on it are very soft compared to tamiya or Dragon. Theres anti skid patches on the roof of it. They hardly have ANY texture. The vents and grills on it lack good depth. Heck even the smoke discharger blocks have hollow backs on them. i havent seen that since the early 80s on old ESCI and Italeri kits. Overall it is detailed but seriously not up to tamiya standards. Maybe Hobby Boss but not tamiya.
  21. I didnt fill the seams but i still sanded the surfaces square to get a better flush fit for the arm armor pack.
  22. Ahab its not sad its the truth. Sure its great he did all that but if it isnt going to be seen why go through the effort. Thats spent time and energy that could be spent getting more done. Look at the trumpeter 1/32 kits. take the new P-47 for example. The thing has full ducting for its supergharger and ratiator systems. Yet theres no way to see it when built. Same with their 1/32 A-10s. Full gun systems yet no way to show it off. Theres no loose or cutable panels. Same with the engines on that A-10 kit. Full internal compressor assembly detail. But it gets sealed up inside the ducting shield and is not invisible. I enjoy the hobby very well , ask the members im one of the more prolific and helpful builders here, but im not about to kill myself making something that will never see the light of day again.
  23. Doesnt matter. Bandai doesnt know how to do fine details and panel lines like hasegawa. Im sick of them producing only snap kits that are nothing more than unassembled toys. If they do go for alot of detail it will be very soft in resolution and very flat in depth. Hasegawa has spoiled us yes but they have also set a benchmark in the details that can be put into a macross subject. Look at their VF-1 Battroids. Superb.
  24. Its bandai . It WILL be snap together and it WILL be a detailless lump of VF-25 shaped plastic.
