  1. Godzilla, Jeez your house looks like a mess!! I'll come right over and help you clean it up, just let me know where you live!!! NB4M
  2. Well actually, if you place the boxes up in the attic by themselves that would be just fine. Just remember there are small animals that do tend to navigate and use as shelter and breed in cardboard boxes. I store most of my boxes and items in the aforementioned method. So far it has been 10 years and still working great. Everytime I open one box I place at least a handfull of mothballs to help detour small animals from wanting to get into the boxes.
  3. Hirohawa, For small boxes, try storing them in totes, they are relatively strong and stackable (useful in small storage spaces). For large boxes use a large box that you can assemble in the attic, line the inside with a plastic bag and tape and place the boxes inside. You can also fit boxes within boxes to make more room. Once they are store, place a few moth balls in there to repel small animals (they just hate the smell). And never forget to place or write an inventory on the box. This you will appreciate when you need to find something inside the boxes (or totes) without opening them.
  4. Hey Newbie, Look what I found. The valkyrie never wore pants just leggings. (Click on the small picture right above the VF-1A head) Look ma', no pants.
  5. Those are the most beautiful birds, I have ever seen. Seeing your work is trully inspiring. One question though. Aren't there supposed to be lights on the sides of the nosecone?
  6. Newbie, Thanks for the pics. My jaw just dropped when I saw the gerwalk mode... ...now you have force me to do one as well. Amazing custom. I think you can make the pants for this, although it would remind of that old saying. "Hey there big boy. Is that a nosecone in your pocket or are you just happy to see?"
  7. Newbie, That is one sweet custom. Does the jacket still fit in Gerwalk Mode? You know the part where Max gets discovered and is bolting out of the Zentradi ship with the coat on...I always liked that scene, it's one of my faves. Gerwalk Mode with Coat Please!
  8. Hi CoryHolmes, Thanks for the clarification. NB4M
  9. Congrats on your first 1/48!!! Welcome...you are now under our control. (Staring at eyes of your 1/48)
  10. Nice work Macroadster!!! I like the skull, it almost looks as the pilot ripped the head off a Zen, and placed the pront portion of it on his heatshield as a trophy. Really cool.
  11. All colors yellow to a certain degree, the color helps hide some of the yellowing. I believe it is part of the degregation process of plastic.
  12. Now that's one helluva pot hole!!! I'm glad nobody was killed.
  13. Prometheum, I am currently using it on a 1/35 Gakken Legioss. Believe it or not, the white is very clean and smooth, no details have been lost. I wish I could post pictures, I really need to get a new computer and digicam...hopefully this month (crosses fingers ).
  14. Kurt, Nice work my man! I like color selected, that ghosted effect is great.
  15. Prometheum, You will be surprised, there are man different colors. You just have to seek out the color you want most colors are available but some must be special ordered. Believe me, I know. Several things you will have to remember, clean the part extremely well with dish soap and warm water, then rubbing alcohol, let dry, and spray it on. There is no need to primer the surface, it melts on to it.
  16. I've read that as well, but it's only a myth. There doesn't seem to be anything that would change the composite structure of the plastic, only topical remedies. One thing I have tried is Fusion or Plastikote vynil/rubber sprays. It contains acids that actually allow the dye to permanently bond to the plastic. Only that once it has been sprayed on it tends to change the texture of the surface. Fusion leaves the surface grainy, almost like the fast packs of the 1/48 Yammy Valks. Plastikote on the other hand leaves a smoother texture that can easily be made smother with a polishing wheel. The great thing about these mediums is that the are very resilient to chipping and scratches. But in order for this to be possible it takes about 1 week's time to really adhere. Test these out, they just might surprise you.
  17. It also depends if there are what type of plastic. Though all will yellow, with some exceptions to polymers.
  18. I was doing some research... But don't different types of criteria affect different types of plastic? What type of plastic are you refering to? ABS, PET, PVC, Styrene, etc?
  19. F360, It sounds like a Banpresto release, only bigger and a thousand time better.
  20. milia ( 231 000 results) miria ( 61 500 results) millia ( 58 900 results) myria ( 70 000 results) mirya ( 26 700 results) To answer an age old dispute...What is the correct spelling of the green-haired, kick ass, valkyrie fighter pilot babe, who we all know and love, but can't seem to agree on the spelling of her name?
  21. vf-1j ( 15 600 results) vf-1s ( 19 300 results) ve-1 ( 400 000 results) vf-1a ( 14 600 results) vt-1 ( 335 000 results) vf-1d ( 4 470 results) vf-1 ( 192 000 results) sdf-1 ( 89 100 results) mk-II monster ( 121 000 results) destroid ( 19 600 results) Now we know why the VT-1 and VE-1 are soooooooo coooool.
  22. Try using steel wire. There is plenty at your local arts and crafts stores, just ask. It usually sold in a clear tube of three pieces. They are small enough gauges that you can use on the wings and are strong and stiff enough to support the weight. Just be sure to use the steel type and not the aluminum type. ***If you live in LA, there is a place called Allied Model Trains (in Culver City), they carry a wide selection of gauges and types. Hope this helps.
  23. Now if he could only make a transformable VF-1...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. yum.
  24. I think you mean it was...water, fire, and wood. I remember those, they came in many different forms. They are almost like Pokemon, but these would kick your teeth in if you tried to capture them.
