I'm not trying to sound like a hater, but don't you think it would be best to wait for HG to release the detailed schematics before John gets to work on the sculpting? True, it could be a while before this happens, but I'd hate to see John put in a lot of work into this project only to find out later on that some of the proportions on his sculpt are completely off. I'm not questioning John's abilities, but there's scant lineart currently available and I wouldn't put too much faith in the animation's accuracy. Also, as a buyer, I know I'd rather wait and get a near-perfect Auroran than take the plunge right now and risk getting a model that may or may not be accurate.

The Xbox 360 Thread Elite Edition
TheLoneWolf replied to Apollo Leader's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I gotta admit that I'm pretty stoked about the 1 free xbox live arcade game that we can get on the 16th. Now the question is which game to get. I never got the point of paying for games that can otherwise be downloaded for free as roms (or iso's), so I'll be looking for something that's exclusive to the XBL marketplace. -
Toynami Announces Masterpiece Cyclones at Toyfair
TheLoneWolf replied to chowyunskinny's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Or Toynami's waiting for everyone else to release their Ride Armors so that they can swoop down and rip off any innovative designs. -
I think it might be your PS2. I've got an early model PS2 and have never had any problems with swap discs, even with my DVD-R copy of Sword of the Berserk. But the motor does run unusually loud when reading the swap discs, more so than it does with regular games. I guess PS2's in general have to work extra hard when reading swap discs and the problem gets compounded if your motor is already worn out? edit: I don't have one, but a friend of mine does and it works great! It can be a lifesaver if your motor or lens is beginning to get worn out since you won't need to worry about the PS2 constantly reading from the dvd drive. The only downside is that the ripping time can take up to 20 minutes per disc depending on how large the game is.

Macross 25th Anniversary and upcoming new TV series thread
TheLoneWolf replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I wouldn't worry about the VF-25 hogging all the spotlight. IIRC, early promotional flyers for Macross Plus featured the VF-11B and YF-21, but the YF-19 was nowhere to be found. -
What's a Steaktacular? I don't remember blowing up any cows in H3

If it was more bronze than tan it'd look a lot better. Was this color also hand-picked by Kawamori? Either way I'll definitely pass on this one.

Capcom is now distributing the "leaked" artwork on their official site along with a commentary. It looks like redrawing the sprites isn't as easy as it sounds. Still, this a good marketing move on Capcom's part. http://blog.capcom.com/archives/544 -
The Xbox 360 Thread Elite Edition
TheLoneWolf replied to Apollo Leader's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Was going to post this in the SFIV thread, but since it's technically for the 360... Allegedly, one of the guys working on SSF2 HD had his computer broken into and some of the character art was leaked onto the web. I can't verify that these are legit, but the tiles and comments lead me to believe so. -
Macross 25th Anniversary and upcoming new TV series thread

Considering the original release goes for $100+, I guess that's good news. Looks like Bandai's milking these DVDs one last time before making the plunge to HD? -
My bad, misread your post. I thought you wanted to save your VC games to an SD card for future use on another console, which would not be allowed due to DRM. But if you want to save them to an SD card, format the Wii, then reload the VC games from your SD card back onto the same Wii then that should work.
-
I don't have a Wii, but you should be able to remove your shopping information from the Wii Shop Channel Settings. And like Mike said, you should be able to wipe out the system memory with the Format Wii System Memory under Wii Options. I pretty sure the reason you can't save Virtual Console games to SD cards is due to DRM licensing.

If you're so inclined, you may just want to raffle it at the office or hold some kind of contest and give it to the winner. As it gets closer to the holidays I'm sure one of your employees would like to give it to a child or use it to keep the family entertained. Or you can just sell it on ebay towards the end of November / early December when the shopping frenzy hits high gear. I don't know about your area, but in the metropolitan Washington DC/Baltimore area Wii's are still scarce. My store currently sells a bundle of a the Wii + 2 free games of your choice for for $400. The really sad part is that these bundles consistently sell out

Whoops, my mistake. They still look awesome nonetheless

I like the 3rd pic, it looks like the Revoltech VF-1's are in scale with your Regult.

I don't see what the big deal. Everyone whose had one has said that it's sorely lacking in details and is surprisingly humbled by the small 1/72 Hasegawa. Also, working on soft vinyl kits is a PIA from what I hear.

Which toy (singular) in your vast collection do you cherish the most?
TheLoneWolf replied to Ratchet's topic in Toys
1/55 Elintseeker (MIB) 1/48 VF-1D (John Moscato version) Out of my collection, these two would be the most difficult to replace. -
Those screenshots definitely make the game look better. A Darkstalkers remake? I believe a new Morrigan sprite is universally considered to be the first sign of the Apocalypse.

Excellent, looks like I'll be picking this one up then. The optional frameart also sounds great. -

Did Sega clean up the graphics at all? From the screenshots I've seen it looks like a straight port, in which case I'll stick with my Saturn version. The online feature is nice addition, but I'm worried that in true PS2 online fashion the load times will far exceed the match times. It's still nice to see the original on another console so that other people can check it out. -
It's absolutely worthless. Everyone knows Toynami's are where it's at.

lol! Actually that is a good question! They're probably said "We hate our Western customers, they always complain about their toys not being bulletproof. Why can't they just be happy with endless Minmay figures like our native customers!"

You're right, Graham wouldn't be in violation of his NDA if he were to say X, Y and Z are not going to be released. But Yamato isn't legally obliged to correspond with Graham either, if Graham does go ahead and say that Z, Y and Z aren't going to be released then Yamato can simply choose never to meet up with him again. I remember a couple of years ago one of our members posted a fake picture of a 1/72 YF-19 "prototype" and Yamato got severely pissed at Graham even though he had 0 involvement, it would seem that Yamato can be very testy and it's best that Graham not push that envelope.
