  1. Again, about the color of your lightsaber. Any would be padwan who's being trained is going through a lot of inner self training. I know that's a given , but jedi are taught to learn who they are and accept themselves. The same is true with their saber color. And, presumably, their lightsaber color would resonate with them. There's no wrong color. To want a different color might have more to do with vanity . Or a lack of understanding about how you move or where your place is in the force. And yes, there are many examples of Jedi using different color sabers. (Luke goes from using blue to green), it makes sense that a Jedi changes saber colors as they themselves go thru radical changes. Some never change lightsaber colors. Some do. It's life. You're pretty much quoting Han Solo from ANH. Oy vey.. there's still not a satisfactory reason why..
  2. Yes , yes it's true. Every time my dodge ram transforms the paint rubs off the back of the cab, where it rubs against the bed..

    Hi-Metal R

Ah yes , pre Tenjin. Yoshiuki Takani san. Some of my first Macross visuals
  4. I just realized this story is based on the Demon bear arc. By Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewickz. I didn't really see any of the signs in the trailer. And no Warlock.. now I'm more curious, but I don't do horror flicks..
  5. There was also the "flow-walk" force power in the EU. Darth Solo used. As well as at least one instance of Luke being in the same room as Darth Cadeus and then vanishing and being gone. This disturbed Jacen so much because he actually belived Luke had been there. And had even felt his presence so close. As far as lightsaber colors. It makes sense that different crystals emanate different energies and therefore may be drawn to by different personality types.
  6. I had caught wind of that too. So Land's behavior wasn't out of place for me. As far as these new force powers we've seen, one cool thing about KOTOR and the EU is the many different force powers, lightsaber colors and techniques that have been explored. Even a hint of different approaches to the force have been adopted in the past movies.
  7. Thanks amigo ya , using a clear eye with an led would be the best. The rear thrusters on the main fuselage are glued to a detailed piece that would cover a battery compartment and allow to drill straight through to the eye. But I wasn't feeling nearly ambitious enough to bore that space out enough to hold a 9v and drill through. Figuring out how to make the rear thruster plate attachable and detachable would be the easy part, but still take some doing..
  8. you're so kind! when i take the subway to Venus , dragging a wagon full of Macross models, you can have what doesn't fit
  9. Mmm. So you're saying many well lit display cabinets are possibly coffins?
  10. The KOR are a huge plot hole in the movies. If they had been edited out, we wouldn't know or care. They didn't affect the movies one iota. But because they're there and mentioned multiple times. We are forced to wonder wtf..
  11. Ya . Well..so they've coined a term for the post KOTOR era. More like carved out a niche from the later half, as KOTOR went back from something like 10,000 years before the battle of Yavin(ANH) to 100. Now they've decided 400 years BBY is "the high republic". A relatively peaceful time, so many Jedi went on the hippy trail and got high. This may be the time when yoda first got Bob Dylan high... So does Rian J still have a job? Yes Diznit owns KOTOR, but they wanna carve up the pie..
  12. Um.. the long lasting cultural impacts of the Macross VF-1... i think..
  13. Well, ya..! Mine always were
  14. Yep. Once again we have to go read the comics or buy the visual guide to figure anything out about The knights of Ren. Like how KR became the leader by defeating "The Ren" (?) and was he an official knight before or after he killed his father? As all KOR must sacrifice something they love.. And is he "The Ren" once he's leader or just Emo Ren..? It's all so confusing
  15. I didn't think so. For what they were/are, Yamato was/is the shizzle. Now, I've always said the DX is probably overall better engineered, quite pretty, and probably decently sturdy( not in those exact words) so , I'm not knocking it, I'm sure it's an awesome toy. Just putting the Yammie in perspective. And i dare say they're still relevant. For variants alone. Ooooh, that's one of those aforementioned holy relics! I miss my 1/55 VT. But it would probably be a real hot mess by now..
  16. Ok, sooo.. here is the latest progress on this project..bean very focused on the Armored VF, but that's nearly complete and I'm putting time in over here.. The main upper intake still has the masking tape inside, got to finish the "red eye" and surrounding port.. The side thrusters need panel lining , over all needs another light round with the white, some dry brushing , detailing and weathering , a clear coat, bit more panel lining , another clear coat and decals. Oh ya, landing gear, air brake, side panel missile launchers attached, etc., Lol.. See you next Deculture
  17. Lol. Good point. I like that
  18. Lol, ya Bandai got my dead prez' with the HMR's , some VF,31's and many 3 mode 1/72's (last year alone ).. "one way or another- I'm gonna getcha,getcha,getcha.."
  19. Umm...don't we all?
  20. Yep..don't think they even reissued the 31-A. I need a few more of those.
  21. Lol. Dude! I think the Yammies aged just fine. Look how quickly Bandai's V1 VF-25's yellowed (ya we do have something to compare) or broke apart upon transformation. Also paying $200 bucks 20 years ago wasn't so bad considering cost, hassle and qc issues these days. Oh ya, let's not mention pre order ridiculous antics and scarcity issues. Am i the only one who doesn't have a Yamato yellowing Hikaru VF-1S? Lets see how those DX's are down the road, see you in 20
