    Just to add to that. And what many are saying. KK and Co. are also the ones who've lost perspective. And it shows. Also. Someone is hired to do a good job. Some do it. And some can't pull it off. Personally, I'm intrigued to see what comes next. I don't really get excited about who the next writers or directors are. There's a lot of talk and a lot of hype in Hollywood. And much of it gets printed. Rian J is still supposedly making more SW films. But there's no clear date on any of that. And IMHO if TLJ was a better movie, he'd probably be making them already. Let's see who actually makes the next movies.

    I've been waiting to see this for sometime. Very enjoyable, even though many sequences are obviously borrowed and some of the animation isn't great. There was some discussion about this on the speaker pod cast ( what are Regults doing under tarps?) but I don't recall if it was made clear.

    "Die hard original Macross fan" would be down with love triangles, singing idol and transforming mecha action. And depending on which side of which pond were talking, that definition gets warped. Welcome to Macross! How about Shin and Sara. And Alto Saotome...? I'd rather know where Basara is at now

    Honestly, that tops the list for me. We waited decades for it! And when it finally came, it landing like a sloppy turd. It's a legacy toy IMHO. You gotta tip your hat to Evolution for pulling it out of their a$$. And like many, i saw the flaws (those awful chest tabs!) and still bought it. I would've bought them all, lol. If only to keep evolution going for more and better versions. It was a good dream. And, eventually Bandai did us the favor of nailing it with the HMR..

    I like it. Definitely for me too. Although the movements are well captured. Spoiler alert! There's reactive armor! Lol I would say definitely, yes. Loved the Dudweiser beer intro. And The chief's later entrance was bad ass. Also the writing is very much echoing reality in some ways. IMO. The Palm Springs and LA background was also quite novel. Episode 7 was fun. Batou is finally growing on me. The last frame of episode 8 says it all. The prime minister of Japan is an interesting character. And certain parts of the series are trippy.
