I wonder if these bugs will evolve like the ones in blue gender and mospeada?

sounds good enough for me. So would it be fair to say that its only real weakness is high price, and lack of detail? (plus exposed screws) I can live with lack of detail, but stuff like the arms or legs feeling like they'd easily break off, or pieces not holding together as they should would turn me off them.

Ah just ordered one of these from HLJ. Can't wait to see what these are like in the flesh.

Are these CMs actually easy to break? I mean what are they like compared to say those 1/120 banpresto valks? I thought you guys said CMs = quality materials? Or is it more that the stuff doesn't snap together well when transformed?

Buying toys shouldn't be risky. If I were you, I'd just wait for the reissue. If not for personal reasons (like not wanting to get one with flaws) then at least for doing it "on principle" alone. (ie show support for the non-flawed release to show yamato you are dead serious about the QC) After all, patience is a virtue: look at the 1/72 for example. The VF-11 FP only comes from the fixes of flaws in earlier releases. Holding off can really pay off. From now: Support only the non-flawed stuff if you want them to take it seriously. When the fixed releases of VF-0s come out is when I will be thinking about getting some more. But only after I see reviews of the newer ones to be sure. Love the design, scared of the long term durability.

Well they did have on old guy from SW I who piloted a monster be in macross 7. So it wouldn't be out of the question to have some people from SW I in it. Maybe what they should do is just have an elf character from the macross 7 ova? Have a mixture of elves, zentradi and humans and the elves make thier own unique mecha that is distinct from the human made and zentradi made mecha.

If you look at the CMs the the top of the wheels seem to come up to about his lower knee when the rider is sitting down. But on the MH the wheels seem a little too low or something. The wheels seem to be around the shins when sitting down. Too low. Looks like a kid's bike.

So what is the definition of perfect transformation with regards to ride armor? We know that in the show the arm pieces float towards the forearms of the rider but what other parts detach from one place to attach onto another place in the anime? When people say "this is non-PT", do they mean there are even MORE pieces that detach off the toy that DIDN't detach from the ride armor in the anime? And what are those extra pieces that deatch/cheat to "transform" the bike into the armor. So when people say "CMs is PT" they are just referring to it being close to the transformation of the anime? (as opposed to adding yet more detachable pieces on top of the ones seen in the show) I'm not as familiar with this as I've never owned a ride armor before so that's why I'm a little confused. I'm guessing if the toy: A) add more non-perfect transforming pieces to achieve transformation = "It's not perfect transformable" B) doesn't add extra detachments (only ones you see in the anime) to achieve transformation = "perfect transformable" So the: MegaHouse = A and CMs = B Right? I think they mean it looks good from an overall "proportions" perspective. It lacks details, has a cheap plastic look to it, but when looking at it from distance to me it seems to have the right size of rider to bike. Just like how the old 1/60 yamato vf-1 valks had a better nose to some people, compared to the nose of the better-detailed vf-1 1/48. Or how the hands on 1/60 look the right size vs the hands of the 1/48. Ultimately the 1/48 seems to win with a lot of people for detail reasons and perfect transformation reasons, despite the proportions. (small hands, bulging chest)

What if the bugs weren't bugs but transforming mechas kinda like the octos? And they are saving it up for another episode? Transforming inbit would be scary. If it was, I hope it isn't some biomophic transformation. But given that the humans had already used stretchy skin on the yf-21 it wouldn't surprise me..

Thanks for posting all these pics. You can see all the screw holes better when it is posed at all kinds of angles. Will be getting these! Pricey, but I don't think I will actually break them since I don't play with my toys much. (Left my banpresto valks for about 2 years without touching them) Any other reviewers of them got a comment to say about these? Are the joints stiff? I'm just so glad that toys for this show are coming out.

I actually still want the vf-11 to be in macross frontier to be honest.

I wish there was a videogame made with the VF-25 in it so yamato can make a game edition of the vf-25 in 1/60 scale.

The fans on imdb like it, but the critics on rotten tomatoes hate it.

This kinda reminds me of the conflict of interest that exists between the editor on ign's nintendo section of the website married to someone from a PR firm who works for nintendo. I wouldn't be surprised if something like that were true.

The dangly bits (ooo) don't bother me much now since I don't plan on ever playing with my yamatos. I prefer to just pose them for a display and then leave them alone. I have had my konig monster in gerwalk for ages for example.

There is a red and blue mecha in E7 that will remind you of something from macross DYRL.

Haha thanks for the heads up. The only reason I postponed purchase was the a) tradition of avoiding first releases b) waiting for ivanov 'fixed' version. It's not like I've planned to not buy it, or anything, just deciding on the when.
