Mr. mark setter is all I use, Microset its just vinegar, you need to have a gloss surface to avoid silvering. Pay attention that microsol can arm acrylics, Don't know why but it happened once.

How do you seal the finished cockpit and canopy before start to paint the fuselage? I covered the canopy with mr. masking sol and this is good, I also used the same product to temporary glue the canopy but it doesn't work very well. Tips from the pros?

You can paint the model with gloss paints, a glossy surface is required to decal too. When you have finished and you want a matte look just clear coat the kit with flat clear, gunze, tamiya or testor dullcote will work, there is also a product called flat base that its a compound to mix to a glossy paint to make it flat or semi-gloss.

Do you mean normal mr.cement or mr.cement s? I have mr. cement and its a nice product but I don't really use it for small parts, I know pinning is not required, just wanted to try, ca glue is fine.

Well the arms didn't stay on very well with plastic cement, I don't have a welding type glue, pins and Ca glue worked fine, there is enough plastic for pinning and isn't soo hard to do, It worked very fine for the head, you can have a posable head this way and is easier to paint. I don't want the arms to fall apart when I will paint and decal or to ruin the paint gluing the arms after.

You get it, the arms are a pain in the ass, however I tried to Pin them like resin figures with a 0,5mm rod and it look to work. I'll glue them and let you now if is a good choice.

How do you assemble those little 4 parts pilot in the hasegawa kits? I'm building up a yf-19 but I have some doubt about the pilot.
