  1. Toys came first. They were given to Marvel to create the fiction for them. From TFWiki: In late 1983, Hasbro approached Marvel Comics to create a storyline around a series of transforming toy robots they had licensed from Takara. They already had the toys. They needed names and a story to sell them. So correct order is Toys Comics Cartoon.
  2. What? You're telling me Ironhide doesn't really look like this?
  3. That suck dude. Don't worry though, us MacrossWorlders are a patient lot Take your time, we'll wait.
  4. Received mine a week ago but only just opened it because my wife went into labor. Had a crack at Gerwalk last night and the waist swivel really adds a new dimension to it. Have yet to get to Battroid. I read a post a while back that someone had heaps of trouble opening one of the front landing gear doors. That it was really tight. I have the same problem. You have to extend the doors before they swing out and the right door on mine Will. Not. Extend. Kinda scared ill break it if I try any harder. Might have to see if I can dismantle and loosen it. Knowing my luck though there will be glued. And while this may be Bandai's finest Valk ever, it still lacks the polish of my Arcadia YF-19
  5. 30th is my favourite YF-29 scheme.
  6. That Lego adaptor is wicked! I wonder if it could support my Ultimate X-Wing?
  7. I don't think that the 3rd party Transformers explosion has really taken off in Japan. All you have to do is look at the location of the vendors. There aren't to many Japan based ones that stock 3rd Party stuff. Most of the market is Outside Japan (US, China are the biggest). So with that in mind and considering that the main Macross market is Japan, I don't think it will take off with anywhere near the pace of the TF market has. Just speculation ofcourse
  8. I like this post
  9. Sometimes it seems beyond Bandai too. As as avid 3rd Party TF collector, I hope that _IF_ it takes off in Macross, they do what FansToys does and only tackle figures that we are unlikely to get otherwise. I don't want to see Arcadia and to a lesser extent, Bandai, competing with 3rd Parties.
  10. Apparently, according to a few of the 3rd party companies that participate at TFW, there aren't as many factories in China as we think that can pump out decent quality toys (Masterpiece quality). So Hasbro might not have much choice. Since this MP-09 KO has surfaced it will be interesting to see if Hasbro Asia (as they have been the ones pumping out most reissues lately) announce an upcoming rerelease of Rodimus. Then we will have proof that these KOs are the result of the factory pumping out extras to sell on the black market
  11. Well, considering my YF-30 is on its way via SAL, there is no way I'm going to be able to get a photo in before others take all the letters. So I guess I'll have to add an adaptor to my order Oh, and you have a PM.
  12. That Snarl looks nice but I'm not a fan of combining Dinobots. I'm sticking with FansToys for my MP collection but if I had space for a classic set it would be FansProject.
  13. NM
  14. I know you're not shipping internationally yet but when you do maybe you could look at focusing on regions. For example there are a few of us from Australia who want stands so you could focus on that. It would make shipping easier. Just a thought
  15. The nail polish not working was purely because I didn't put enough on. I only did one coat when I should have done 2 or 3. But I just couldn't be bothered pulling it apart again. And I couldn't get the ankle to jump the tracks and come off either. And believe me, I tried REALLY hard. I'm amazed it didn't break. I was literally pulling with all my strength.
  16. Meh. I could live without anymore seekers. MP-11, Hasbro TC and Hasbro SW make a good mix. And the iGear coneheads are pretty awesome. Bring on something else!
  17. I managed to get the ball joint out of one foot without removing the pins. I was able to pry apart the foot enough. It is actually a two-piece ball joint, the top half is die-cast and the bottom half is plastic. I coated with nail polish and put back together. Didn't work I'm not doing it again though. It wasn't a fun experience.
  18. I agree. Anyone with an internet connection and 10 minutes is able to work out the difference. And he seems to be defending his well researched statements in the comments.
  19. True. But out of that mould Takara have already released Sunstorm and Acid Storm. But personally I quite like my Hasbro Skywarp. I like that he is different to the other 2.
  20. Every MP mould except Megatron has had multiple repaints. And in an interview Hasui stated that repaints are a big part of how new moulds in the line get funded. So I fully expect Space Brick to get his black repaint
