  1. There's rumor of a Space Mining Mech coming next year in the Creator line. I'm hoping it references a classic sub-theme like M-Tron, if not just generic Classic Space. At the very least it needs to have colored windscreens and the Classic Space logo somewhere.
  2. Thanks for that info! I am not familiar at all the the Studio Series but I hope the ones you listed end up being good. And I hope Jazz and Thrust have their Earth alt-modes
  3. Are those supposed to be from the 80's animated movie? If so, that would be a first for the Studio Series right?
  4. Sad that he just does porn now. I loved all of his early sci-fi stuff.
  5. The gun is definitely not centered in the line art. Compare the center of the gun with the center of the little wind screen/console thing.
  6. Am I the only one who thinks Timothée Chalamet has an extremely punchable face? I don't think I could look at the guy for an entire movie. Also, Oscar Isaac is in this too? Talk about overexposed. He's totally mediocre and yet he's in everything.
  7. Ok so not to defend anything Robotech in any way, but...that cute alien pet is totally a thing in Southern Cross and Bowie Emerson was a musician. So those two things are straight from the source material. Those glasses are definitely a Basara ripoff though! Or homage if you're being charitable.
  8. I'd buy that collection on a cartridge in a nano second. But I'm not signing up for any online service that can take away games on a whim.
  9. I guess we should mention the Gall Force-themed Sony home computer. The perfect gift for that retro-geek, 80's mecha-head in your life.
  10. No Kenichi Sonoda designs, no Gall Force, as far as I'm concerned. I feel the same way about BGC too.
  11. Same! I got Smokescreen and Bluesteak (or possibly Prowl?) for Christmas way back in '85. To this day, no other Transformer evokes the same sense of wonder and nostalgia for me than those Fairlady Z's. Looking at the G1 toys always brings me right back to that Christmas. The stickers on the arms and legs under the rear windshields looked so futuristic! And the doors as wings looked so heroic. They were just so cool. Smokescreen will always be my favorite Transformer for this reason.
  12. I really like the bot modes for ER Ironhide/Ratchet. I almost think they're better looking than the MPs. However... They're not even trying to hide those hideous feet in alt mode. The black shoulder blocks are pretty egregious too. (Pic found on tfw2005)
  13. Good comparison there. Jives with the pictures on https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Starscream_(G1)/toys too. Thanks guys.
  14. Man, things have gotten dangerous for me. I'm buying Transformers now. I was trying to keep it only to old school GI Joes, Macross, and Mospeada. And Legos. Er, and some other stuff. But this year alone I bought/pre-ordered Earthrise Cliffjumper, Starscream, and Sunstreaker, Smokescreen, and Ironhide, as well as MP-07 Starscream, MP Thrust, and even a third party Optimus and Grimlock. I blame Earthrise TF's. They're just too good. They kinda sucked me in.
  15. Random question. On the '84 Seekers, did the wings push in flush to the main fuselage in alt mode? I've been looking at lots of pictures online and it looks like maybe they were mostly flush in '84 but reissues got "gappier" for whatever reason. I never had any version of the G1 mold, but if I ever buy one, I want to "mind the gap" so to speak.
  16. Looks good to me, although it'll probably cost $500 so I would only ever enjoy it in pictures. Like someone else said before, I don't understand splitting the wing to "hide" the tail fins rather than just folding the tail fins behind the wing. Either way seems just a visually complex, so why over-engineer it?
  17. I love Gall Force! Star Front and the OAVs. Such great designs! Love the small scale transforming mecha.
  18. I got a response from Sentinel and it sounds like they are going to send me a replacement hand! Knowing my luck it'll be the wrong hand but we'll see. That's pretty cool of them though. Especially since they're shipping to the US. I would have been glad to pay for the part + shipping if they asked me to.
  19. Same for me! Good luck to us.
