I have heard that, yes. They are indeed working on some kind of project... for fans. But aside from being a fans' project, details are sketchy.

MP10 looks nice enough, but not really different enough vs. MP-01. If Hasbro does a reasonably-priced US version, maybe, but no way I'm importing. And hey, since Takara seems to have decided to start over on the MPs, maybe we can get a better MP Megatron?

They make adapters for that, you know. I was using my fiber optic inputs on my receiver for my PS3 and my Xbox 360. I wanted to add an HTPC, and I picked a mobo because it was advertised as having fiber optic and coax outputs. Except, as it turns out, the coax was input only. So I bought an adapter, ran audio from the fiber optic out, coverted it to coax, then ran it into the coax input on the receiver. Try searching Amazon for "fiber optic to coax" or "toslink to coax." I can't remember for sure, but I think that's where I got mine, and it was less than $20. -
Managed to get to TRU today... and they had nothing that wasn't Dark of the Moon (side from their exclusive repainted War for Cybertron pack). Two or three pegs of Deluxes, several Cyberverse, some Optimus Prime and Bumblebee masks, a ton of some kind of playset that had Legends looking guys, a Legends pack that had Classics and DotM Bumblebee with Cybertron and DotM Starscreem, some Voyager Sentinel Primes, and a TON of Ultimate Primes. Not a single TF Prime toy. Not even the two-pack, which I totally would have settled for.

I was thinking about going to TRU today. I'd like Voyager Prime, as he looks a lot better than the Deluxe, and I want Megatron. Does he have a Voyager? If not, I'll probably get the two pack. Kinda digging that Bulkhead, too, and the Prime version of Bulkhead looks like he might blend in with my Classics. As for the rest, Bumblebee and Ratchet don't interest me at all. I like Arcee and Starscream's characters on the show, but I'm not sure if I want the Deluxe figure or not. None of the other Decepticons really interest me. I'll probably start stashing a little bit away for whenever Hasbro releases any Fall of Cybertron figures. I doubt I'll actually get to go to TRU today, though. After enjoying a pretty mild winter so far, with temps mostly in the mid 40s, the temperature plummetted overnight on Sunday, then it started snowing in the afternoon yesterday. Not sure if it's stopped yet or not, but I'll probably wait and see how things look tomorrow. I gotta go fix my grandpap's computer anyway.

I liked it for three main reasons. 1 - Excellent ship-based combat. Like a faster, prettier, more intense Starfleet Command 3, you used energy weapons to wear away at shields, and torpedos for maximum damage on unprotected hull. You could dirvert power to different systems for speed, offensive, and defensive reasons, and your captain and bridge officers brought special skills into the mix. 2 - Main quest strings played out like episodes of the shows. Probably not as big a draw if you're not a fan of the shows, but I liked it, and it helped the game feel like there was reason behind a quest instead of finding a dude with a quest marker, running off the check list, and turning it in for your reward. 3 - You could play most of the game as if it were a single player game. Main quests were designed as if you're ship is on it's own, and ground missions had you controlling your captain while the AI controlled a few of your bridge officers as your away team. It's true that in sector space, you'd see other players cruising along, and there was definitely PVE and PVP stuff you could do, but it was never required (although, at higher levels, it was harder to get enough XP if you didn't do some group-based gameplay). I have mixed feelings about other stuff in the game. Ground missions have improved from when the game first launched, but it's still not as fun as ship combat. I also like that if you were running out missions but not interested in the group stuff, you could do community-authored quests. Some of the ones I did were quite clever and entertaining, but some of them were a little tedious. To get quest rewards, though, you had to do three of them, and many of them were on the longish side, which sometimes left you feeling like it was a lot of work for a little reward.

An Optimus/Megatron 2 pack? That's more than I've seen.Granted, I've heard they've only been showing up at TRU? I haven't been there since a month or so before Christmas.

Bad, yes. But I wouldn't say it's Rebecca Black bad.

But again, if number of available pilots/mecha is the thing, it still makes more sense to stick with UC. And I agree with it being the worst Gundam series. 10 years already? Man, times flies. But yeah, this is the best explaination I've heard for why they're making a SEED game instead of a UC or multi-universe Gundam game.

Staples does as well. -
But SEED doesn't have the variety that UC does, plus UC (especially the One Year War stuff) is always crazy popular. SEED's just an odd choice. Unless it was somehow more popular in Japan that I realized, there are both better Gundam series and newer Gundam series.

I may have to swing by and check it out. I kind of want Ultimate Optimus Prime, but I don't want him for the $60 Target is asking, let alone the $80 that TRU seems to think he's worth. Then again, 40% off of TRU's ridiculous price is still $47.99...

I'm torn between my disdain for Gundam SEED and how awesome that game looks. My disappointment over not having a Gundam Battle game with a full Victory campaign and suits from Unicorn added to the mess of suits already in Gundam Battle Universe is at odds with my desire to play a new Gundam Battle game.I don't think it's enough to get me to buy a Vita at launch... but maybe when I inevitably cave and buy one there will be a "The Best" version to import...

Follow the main plot until you learn your first shout, then explore the land and ignore the main quest for... oh, about 40 or 50 hours. I say this as someone who hated Morrowind and hated Oblivion: Skyrim is the most fun I've had just losing myself in a game in years. -

Not quite. The garage is where I keep my car (you know you're moving up in the world when you have a whole room just to store your car). But I have a finished basement where I set up my computers and display my Transformer collection. If I rearrange things a bit, I could definitely accomodate an arcade cabinent.I gotta say, I lived (comfortably) in a one-bedroom apartment for nine years before I bought this house (just this year, in fact). Apartments have their perks (fewer bills, the knowledge that a lot of stuff was someone else's problem), but I'm digging the home ownership thing. More space, the aforementioned garage means I don't have to dig my car out of the snow at 6:30 in the morning (probably not as much of an issue in San Diego as it is in Pittsburgh), and if I want to have friends come over, get drunk, and play Rock Band with me until 4:00 in the morning we have to make a lot more noise before the neighbors call the cops. Getting back on topic, though, I finally gave Skyrim a chance. Hated Morrowind, Hated Oblivion, but somehow I'm in love with Skyrim. I think it's because the game feels a lot more organic, in some ways. I mean, in Oblivion, you were free to explore and avoid the main quest, but you were still telling the guard what your class was, even if you made it up. With Skyrim, just because I've got my Destruction up into the 70's doesn't mean I can't decide I'm going to beat people with swords until I get good at that, too. I think I like the Norse-inspired land of Skyrim better than the generic fantasy of Oblivion, too. My gripes are few, and minimal. I hate that the PC version is a very obvious conosle port, as I often find myself navigating menus with the WASD keys or the arrow keys because you simply aren't able to point at what you want and click, yet at other times you have to select with the mouse because keyboard isn't doing jack. I assume this is because you used both thumbsticks on the console versions. I also think it's kind of lame when you can kill a dragon like a boss, but a giant will drop you in one swing. -

Feel free to store your FF cabinent at my house. -
The screen (for both) is supposed to get dark if the console is just sitting on the dashboard, but it's not supposed to do it during video playback.I've been watching a ton of TNG on Netflix. I'm about midway through season 6, and what myk's described has happened to me once. Just once.

I finally got a chance to follow up on this lead. Even though I work right by the Marshalls in Greensburg, I've just been too busy/tired to go until today. Sure enough, I walk in, and they have a small rack in the main isle in front of the toy section with seemingly random toys thrown on... inlcuding a peghook with two Perceptors. I wonder what Hasbro's issue was with Reveal the Shield? While all of the Generations figures eventually found their way to my local Target(s), I never found a single RTS figure at a regular store. I found Jazz at Kohl's, Perceptor at Marshalls, and G2 Prime at that weird toy store in the Westmoreland Mall that turns into a Halloween Adventure or whatever in October.

I updated the BIOS, as there were several updates since I installed it. We'll see if I have any more issues with it. So far I haven't, but I can't even say I've used it today. Hmm, that has me thinking, do you guys usually shut down your computers, or just sleep/hibernate them? I shut off both of my laptops (one Windows 7 computer I only use if I want to play PC games on vacation or at a friend's house, and the other's an Ubuntu machine that I use only when I'm fooling around with Linux). I also shut off my Windows desktops. The one in the bedroom I use infrequently to watch videos. My main Windows computer has issues waking up from sleep sometimes, and I tend to use it a lot, so I turn it on when I get up or when I get home from work, but I shut it down at night so as not to waste electricity. My last computer is a Mac Mini. The only time it gets shut down is to restart after some updates. Otherwise, I'll put it to sleep when I'm done using it or it'll sleep on its own after an hour of inactivity. Even if I don't think I'll use it for a month, I just let it keep sleeping. Only thing I'll do is shut the mouse and keyboard off so they can't accidentally wake it. I'm finding that while I don't use the Mac for long periods at a time, I do use it a lot because it's my fastest on, fastest off. -

In my experience (short of spending a small fortune rennovating a room), the reality of your home or apartment never matches the perfect little rooms they demo systems at at stereo shops. Sadly, living room's layout means I have a TV with the right and left speakers on the far edges of the TV sand, and the center speaker centered under the TV. This has all the fronts in a five foot line, 15 feet from where I'm sitting. The rears are a little better, since I ran the speaker wire along the baseboards, I managed to get them on the backs of the end tables flanking the couch. Hardly ideal, and to make matters worse, I have a large, open living room with hardwood floors. Floor length curtains, the sofa, and an 11x7' area rug do little to mitigate the echo. As for the sub, I stuck it to the left of the TV stand, between it and some shelving. -

SATA III Nope. I did solve the problem, by telling the BIOS that the main HDD is the Western Digital one. But it should have know that, it's been booting from that drive for over a year, and I have no idea why it suddenly decided to use the Hitachi drive. My concern is that the BIOS defaults to the Hitachi drive, and some kind of electrical problem caused the BIOS to revert to the defaults. -

Lost the manual in the move. I guess I could have looked to see if ASUS had a PDF version, but I decided to do trial and error. After trying all the F-keys, it did turn out to be Del. Once I was in the BIOS, I'm quite familiar with changing the boot order. Thing is, the boot order was exactly the way I'd had it before... first CD-ROM, then HDD, then removable device. The problem is that, rather arbitrarily, the BIOS had decided that the Hitachi SATA II drive I use for storage was the hard drive it was too boot from, instead of the Western Digital SATA III drive. I don't know what caused it. Obviously, I hadn't changed any of the BIOS settings in so long I couldn't even remember the BIOS key. And it's not like this is a new computer... I built this computer over a year ago, and the only changes I've made to it was to add a USB wifi dongle, replace the ASUS DVD drive that failed on me with a Samsung, and to add a USB bluetooth adapter. The wifi dongle and DVD drive I did in September, and the bluetooth dongle maybe a week ago. Both of the drives are the ones I installed from day one, the Windows installation is from day one, and the Hitatchi drive has never had an OS on it. I simply cannot think of anything I did to make the BIOS think it should try to boot from the Hitachi drive. Once I set the primary hard drive back to the WD, the computer booted fine. EDIT: I checked the BIOS version, and it was from September 2010. There have been several revisions since. I decided to update the BIOS. BIOS settings were revered to default, and the default settings again had the Hitachi set the default drive. It's the only one that shows up as a SATA device. The WD shows as an IDE device. Could some kind of electrical malfunction have reset the BIOS previously?
