  1. I would say it's impossible, but you never know, right? Gotta keep dreaming. I have no idea how to open the doors. Need to see some simple examples of the types of gears to use.
  2. I'm looking at these belt drives to rotate the platform on the hanger. Any suggestions what kind of gears could i use to open those doors? Thats an online photo. Not mine.
  3. Looks great Pengbuz. Maybe you can add some extra model parts lying around to the hangar, like pipes and motors to detail it.
  4. Nope. Just the trinket with a motor-running transistor from Adafruit. Havent learned how to use shields yet. But I assume they are the way to go to avoid clashes in the programming? I may end up powering the DC motor off the trinket, but not actually include it in the sketch. The DPDT switch would be manual to open and close the wings.
  5. I feel I got really lucky with Arduino first time out getting the Yamato to work. Getting a DC motor to play nice with lights on the Nautilus has been very challenging. Study continues...
  6. Valk origami is getting of my league. I aint never transforming this one!
  7. I think we can expect something new each time out. And when he is in the right mood, we will get serious mecha action as well.
  8. So how many pen names now for Kanno? She is so successful she can have a different name each time out!
  9. NZEOD, That's some lovely shine! I would love to see it in real life without the light glare. Mechtech, That's fine, fine work. I thought you said it would be a "quick and dirty weekend build"? Not even sure how you do all that...
  10. Glad you're doing a new valk. I bet it will look clean and sexy.
  11. Good to know. Thanks for clarifying the difference.
  12. Glad we are having this discussion! I guess the Miliput is less prone to bubbles. I have been using Alumilite Clear Resin. Seems to shrink as it dries in addition to bubbles throughout, even though I leave several air valves. Drives me crazy.
  13. Chas, I find its hard to avoid bubbles in the cast with small parts. Whats the solution?
  14. I'm partial to lighting because my paint skills aren't what I want them to be. But if you combine an artist with lighting, killer combo!
  15. Join the club! Once I hit 40, bring on the reading glasses. That vision aint coming back.
  16. Nice! Everyone needs a Falcon. Are you using this entire photo etch set, or just what you mentioned? http://www.greenstrawberry.cz/yt-1300-millennium-falcon.php
  17. Love the realistic rivets and details on that plane. All valks should have them.
  18. Good question. It's your mech after all, but Annihilator does match with Monster, so it's not wrong per se. Ragnarok is Delta-ish. Chimaera reminds me of this:
  19. As much as I'd like one, I'll stick to my Yamato. It was USD 20 back in the day. Always planned to tailor make a cape for it. So now is the time.
  20. Man, that is exciting stuff. You really pulled it off.
  21. NZEOD, Nice scheme. Can't be sure, but maybe your decals cracked from too much decal solvent? Or old decals falling apart? Happens to me all the time. Pengbuzz, Don't listen to haters. Everyone works at their own skill level.
