You need to wipe it down with cloth. sometimes there is oil from the manufacturing process. I've seen this on the Chogokin paint finish as well.

Thanks Jenius. I have both types Yamato and Arcadia, but I a don't have a clue about paint. Are these considered painted or paint injected? The DX Bandai's clealry look painted, but these Yamarcadias are hard to tell.

Question about the paint job. What is the likelihood of paint scratches with Arcadia's bright white coat, compared to Yamato's matte paint injection? i haven't opened mine yet in several months, and I realized I was fearful about it.

I wonder if this will sell out or warm the shelves a bit? For you guys in Japan, are the HM-R VF-1s still easy to find like the Regults, or marked up at a premium price?

I don't think Bandai is purposely messing it up, they are probably just not as knowledgeable about "what color the missile tips should be", as some of the gurus on MW. Just remember there are all types of fans. For some fans like me who have followed since the mid-80's, my eyes don't catch some of these subtle differences, like a red arrow or a black arrow. They are really too small to make a big difference to me. Unless someone points it out, I would never catch it. But when I see Fast Packs are white instead of grey, even I cringe.

Its hard to tell the HM-R Destroids scale from the Tamashii diorama. But I compared the Monster, and the final version was spot on with the Diorama. So I think they had these planned way in advance.

My Glaug is on the way from Amiami. Its not only the Year of Macross, it's also the Year of Giant Robo!
