Hi all. So my brother in law has this model. Its built from mahogany and steel and brass. The body seems some kind of pvc or fiber glass (I dont really know), with 7 layers of paint to get that shiny finish. My question is what kind of glue can we use to reattach some of the loose fittings that would be strong and easy to wipe off. Super glue will leak and fog and ruin it. Thanks in advance!

Ha ha. Not real lights at this scale. Only painted lights. But this is a proto-type test model for a larger lit model hopefully.

I applied a light gray dry brush to give it more of a space ship color and bring out some details. Still need to add a ton of tiny city lights to bring it to life.

Glad to help. I can pose them for you too. This is where I am on the bridge uniforms. Max's face seems big. How about the other two? I will make Roy a bit taller, but I don't like the super tall 7' look. I never liked how disproportionate he looks 🤣

@tekering Wow, the Matchbox has never looked so good! Fantastic work, A couple questions: I am worried about your wood screws eating away at the plastic over time. Maybe I misunderstand the mechanism, but could you possibly use a screw and nut with washer instead? You could lodge the nut with epoxy (Add some pla plate to fully bury the nut). Since you are planning to change up the guns, have you seen @Nyankodevice's SDF-1 guns on Thingiverse? https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5389365
