    Just finished in Kenosha, WI. I think there were 11 tickets sold so it was pretty much me and a few old Macross nerds. Loved every second of it. I hadn't seen this version before, only the 4 part series.

    I "was" interested, but the jet pics really ruin it for me. Especially with how spoiled we've been with the Macross figures. It just looks like they phoned it in with this one. The robot, however, is beautiful.

    Hopefully not too off-topic, but rumor has it that this same team might be working on a Zelda series. Anywho, liked the first season a lot. The wife and I will probably start watching the second season tonight. We're both looking forward to it.

    Received my Voltron two days ago. Three lions built, my son is building the last two. This thing is friggin' huge!

    The thing I like the most about both TLA and LoK is that they actually have a story to tell. Once the story reaches its end, it's over. Not like a lot of shows these days where they try to milk the franchise for all it's worth. Lot's of character development and each episode, while being part of a bigger story, really kind of stands on their own. It's going to suck when LoK ends, and I doubt that they will do another series given how Nickelodeon has been treating this one. There was a rumor that a movie based on LoK was in talks, but nothing confirmed yet. If they do that, I hope they learned their lesson from the Shyamalan fuster cluck.

    I think it had more to do with it being a memory with fuzzy details, like maybe he didn't remember exactly how the environment looked. The style kind of reminded me of Samurai Jack.

    It doesn't help that I just shelled out over $600 in LEGO sets either. Snagged three limited edition sets at $200 a pop when we went to the Mall of America a couple weeks ago. If we had a dog house, I'd be sleeping in it!

    SCORE! Walking through TRU looking for a b-day present for my neice, happened to wander over to the Tf section. Tons of Acid Storms on the shelf, but when I looked in back there was a lone Soundwave. Wife is super PO'd right now, but she'll get over it. Thought'd I'd never get one at retail.

    I'm just glad that I rented this movie instead of seeing it at a theater. It was OK, but nothing great. More of the same hit and miss "comedy" that's shown in Family Guy.

    Too bad you didn't have a chance to bid on my Seekers set that I put on eBay a few years ago. I had all of the originals MISB, including the Skywarp/Ultra Magnus combo.

    My biggest issue with Bayformers is the design of the characters. Obviously having G1 style characters would be a bad idea, seeing as how very few people would relate to vehicles from the 1980's. However, seeing as how we were given modern vehicles in the Binaltech/Alternators line, and also with Alternity, as well as the Masterpiece series, with excellent transformations that looked great in both vehicle and robot modes, the designs could have been much better than the shredded metal that we got. There was a huge opportunity to appeal to both older and younger audiences by going that route. Instead, Bay just gave the older fans the finger and did what he wanted, resulting in a divided fan base.

    Another vote for the 1/55's. I bought one for my kid when he was 4 or 5 and that thing's been through hell. He's 11 now, and I think there's only one tiny little crack on a joint somewhere, but I only paid $35 for it so no big loss.

    In anyone's interested, I've reconstructed this model using Lego's Digital designer, and I have a parts list. I just priced it out using Lego's Pick-A-Brick option and it costs around $40. There are two parts that are not available on Lego's site right now though. They should be easy enough to find. One problem I had with LDD was that I could not position the arms to properly locate the shield but I think it can be done with the physical parts. EDIT: I found a way to position the arms, and I was able to transform it directly in LDD.

    Set a P-38 next to a semi truck. If you want to talk about "scale", that's what it would be like. I think instead of scale you mean to say that the robot forms should be equally sized.

    A P-38 in scale with MP-10 would be the size of an infant mosquito.

    Two questions: Why aren't these people working for Hasbro, since they are clearly better at making transforming toys? Where the hell do you people get the money to support such expensive habits? With a wife, child, house and two cars, there's no way I could afford to get any of this stuff. I just about ruined my pants over the 3rd party Devastator, but my stomach turned over the price.

    True, but that was the first time that Aang had done that. Amon may have had years of practice doing it and perfected or created a new technique.

    Actually, Aang went into the Avatar State a lot more than 3 times before meeting Guru Pathik. He went in the AS when he and Appa were nearly drowned, and encased them both in ice for 100 years. (danger to himself and Appa) In the beginning of the series, he went into the AS after he fell into the water (again) when he, Katara and Sokka were attached by Zuko. (danger to himself, Katara and Sokka) He went into the AS when he witness the bones of Monk Gyatso. (no danger, no meditation, just loss of a friend) Then again when he met Avatar Roku in the fire temple (when the sun hit the gem). (no danger, grief or meditation) During the Siege of the North, Aang combined power with the spirit of the ocean. (perceived danger, meditation) When General Fong tried to trick Aang into the AS by making it look like Katara's life was in danger. (perceived danger, no meditation) When Appa was kidnapped by the sand benders (no danger, no meditaion, just loss of a friend). I'm not trying to play the "I told you so" game, I'm just trying to show how danger, whether real or perceived, was usually the cause for Aang to enter the Avatar State. That and the fact that Aang didn't have to think about doing it. It was an automatic response to the situation. When Korra was ambushed, the danger was very real (at least to Korra), and that's why it didn't make sense to me.

    One thing about episode 4 that doesn't make sense is . It was really cool to get a glimpse of Aang as an older person. It will be interesting to see how they portray Aang when/if Korra gets to enter the spirit world to get advice from him. I mean, Kyoshi was supposedly 230 when she died yet she looks like a woman in her 30's in the show. Roku was 70 when he died and he looks like an old man. Aang was around 64-65 when he died. Will they show him as an old man like Roku or a younger man like Kyoshi?
