Dont think the stealth advantages would be worth the operational trade-off. After all, you have all these humans and planes on the deck, sure to mess up your RCS. And even if you load up the ship with navalised YF-23s you still have the problem of deployed landing gear messing your RCS. poo, there is just so much to mess up a carrier's RCS.

I didn't realize FP were getting rare. Kevin has had them for a while now. And they're even on sale now ($5 off). Check 'em here. I also found some on sale in Hong Kong for only $38.50 here. But after shipping to the US ($20 for standard air w/out tracking #), the savings really aren't that great. I think I save only about $8 over getting them from Kevin. I'd rather deal locally. H A couple months or so ago, I was in Hong Kong and they were selling stacks of em for 250 hkd (about 33 usd) at the Kanto Hobby shops. Are they getting rare?

Well, it does look like the Lavi. But if the basic design is good, why mess too much with it. I wonder how much Isreali involvement there is in the project. The Chinese and Isreal seem to be on rather good terms these days even if not much is publicised about it. I always thought the tail fin (in the pics I seen) was waaay too humongous though. Does it need _that_ much stability? Still, if they can make em cheap and make lots of em. All it needs is approximately the ability of a late model F-16 (with more range) and that'll be enough.

Someone said because Stiq slowed down. There is also the question of whether or not the other ships where entering the atmosphere at the correct angle. Come in too steep, you burn up, come in too shallow, you skip off the atmosphere and back into space. The amount of damage done to the ships were also probably a consideration. Remember, damage to its heat shielding is what caused the Columbia to burn up during re-entry. Dammit, I am getting confused between Robocrap, the McKinney novels and Mospeada. Did the liberation fleet burn up 1. Cuz of damage before re-entry 2. Bad design 3. Inbit did something to atmosphere 4. wrong re-entry angle/calculations? Someone enlighthen me!

Its actually the stupid EU that spoiled SW for me in the 90s. Sun crushers, force inhibiting furry creatures blah blah blah...SUCKS. It all went down hill the moment them bloody ewoks appeared. I still like SW though. But thats just cuz the Empire with the stormtroopers and star destroyers will always be the coolest movie sci-fi military ever IMHO. I am really hoping that Ep III will show the Imperator Class Star Destroyers. Maybe show the launch of the very first ship and have it massacre the puny unbelievers. That alone will make the ticket price worth it for me.

I don't think the CPU clockspeed is that important once you are pass maybe 1.8-2.0 Ghz. Its probably the memory and graphics card that matters. I think the Geforce4 MX sucks. I bought a ShuttleX Sn42 with the embedded GF4 MX and 512 shared RAM. Can't play IL2 with more then 24 B-17s without the system running out of virtual ram. Anyone recommend a good card to go with the ShuttleX SN42? I think the longer cards won't fit into the SSF casing.

All those parts too thin to be made of plastic.... die cast! They charging over $100 for these toys anyway. Use forged magnesium alloy if they have too!!!
