There's some good stuff in that list. Hirasawa is one of the few Asian male vocalists I like. As for the retro vibe, I gotta throw in the numerous soundtracks from Kimagure Orange Road. KOR has plenty of good tracks that contain that 80's vibe thanks to Wada Kanako.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to most of the toys too, especially the combiner stuff. However, I'm glad the Classics line is still going in some form. Drift actually looks cool and it's good to see a domestic release of Thrust. The biggest highlight for me is a domestic release of MP Grimlock-nee ha!

Is the plastic taking the paint well? I was thinking of giving her a make-over too. As much as I like TFA Arcee, I still wait for a decent G1-esque version to complement the rest of the 3rd season crew.

I haven't seen the anime yet, but one can automatically do all sorts of maneuvers to get behind an enemy at the press of a button. There's a meter that fills up once you stay within the direct vicinity of an enemy. Once the meter reaches a certain level, all you have to do is hit a button and then an auto pilot will kick in that will do anything to get your plane behind the enemy for an easy kill. Fun, but it felt a little chintzy. One time I tried not to use that feature when I repeated a mission-I ended up getting a lower rating. As for doing a cobra manually, I'll have to try it next time I'm around the Wii. But anyone craving some new Ace Combat action should give this game a shot.

It's too bad the Reverb repaint never made it to the toy aisles. It had the best colors for that chopper mold and would've looked great as a Bruticus limb. I snagged Shout's G1 season two, vol.2 dvd collection at Wallyworld today for $20-nee ha!

Anyone else try out the Wii game? Namco's Project Aces is behind it so it feels like Ace Combat...with fictional prop planes. Once I switched the control scheme to expert mode without the motion control, I had a great time with it. I just couldn't get used to the nunchuk/wand motion control combo.

Lovin it. The integration of all the bits doesn't seem as forced as the Superion appendage kit. I was hoping the big rifle would break down into a turret of sorts for Brawl, but it doesn't look like it from the group pic.
-
I'm definitely buying them, but I'm gonna hold out and shop around for the best price. I probably would've bought Swindle even if I didn't have a Bruticus to upgrade-I was really impressed with FP's work. I was expecting them to release the Rodimus Prime upgrade first though.
-
The local TRU didn't have anymore Arcees or Ratchets. No HA Barricade either. As for FP Bruticus, BBTS has Blast-Off and and Swindle for preorder with a price of almost $50 each. Quite tempting, but I'll hold out to see other vendors' prices.
-
Nope, not just yet. BTW, Bruticus fans should check out Fansproject site NOW. Swindle is confirmed and he looks sweet!
-
No HA Barricade at TRU, BUT I did snag TFA Arcee and Cybertron Ratchet. Happy Friday indeed! If only City Strike Snake eyes was this easy to find...
-
BBTS has HA Barricade in stock. I'm hoping this means it'll be hitting store shelves real soon.

I have no problem with seekers being cars, but I thought they'd be based on good looking cars. As it is, the Orochi is not a very pretty automobile IMO.
-
Damn, too bad about the Destroids. Well, at least with only two new sculpts I have a larger chance of saving some dough this year. Thanks Graham, and btw, you got PM.

As much of total rip this show seems to be, I'd buy a good toy of that transforming Flanker...
-
Wow, utterly shameless. How appropriate that the Flanker would be used as as base for the mechs as opposed to the VF-1's F-14.
-
Looks nice-good job! Did you paint the markings on the feet as well or are they decals? Yeah, Bulkhead's color doesn't fit his matte-colored military vehicle alt mode at all. I might get Ratchet if he's white instead of the grey-ish color with the domestic release.
-
Yup, they're doing it again: check out the blinged out Takara TFA toys at BBTS.
-
Ooh, you found Overkill? That was the only one I couldn't find despite going to to two different stores. I dunno, but do make sure to check every nook and cranny. I found Prime lying on top on top of oven rack in the kitchenware dept. Organization doesn't seem to be priority at the Marshalls I've been to. At its worst, Marshalls reminds me of an indoor flea market.

Not too long ago, Capcom released the R20 book to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Rockman. As video game-based books go, it was a behemoth of a book filled with illustrations, sketches, and design works that dealt with every Rockman/Rockman X game release. Udon Studios have finally translated and released R20 by publishing two books: Mega Man: Official Complete Works and Mega Man X: Official Complete Works. I don’t know why R20 was split into two books, but if you are a Megaman fan, these two books are not to be missed. I got my copies today and it’s just awesome to see the unused/altered characters and read some insight from K. Inafune, the series producer himself.

Yup, in the US-I'm in NorCal btw. At the second Marshalls I went by, I think I found a scalper's hidey hole because inside a leather ottoman were 10 of the figures. Or maybe its just the way Marshalls is; that place can get really messy. If you still can't find a Dragstrip, lmk as I could probably snag one for you tomorrow.
-
So the rumors are true: Marshall's stores DO have the special edition Universe figures for $10. I found the last boxes of Prime and Megs sitting around at different location in the store. I was hoping to find Dragstrip as well but grey and black Megs was a better find I think. Happy hunting!

Seeing that thing always makes me glad the live action movie never got made.

Heh, I used to get Machine Robo toys as gifts and I loved the styrofoam packaging along with the mini-comic and full color catalog they came with. I never knew a lick of Japanese, but it was still awesome to gape at. Go-bots were never cooler.
