  1. All my garbage is still there.
  2. Great trailer. If anything, it'll be wonderful eye candy. I still don't like how almost every production of a Shirow project uses different character designs. His are awesome!!! But, alas, someone in Japan don't think so.
  3. Nah. I'm out. No offense to Paul, who seems to be able to design a pretty decent box, but my interest has always rested more on what's on an actual DVD and not what the shell looks like. $25-30 is money I can spend on at least two more DVDs or another toy. Good luck, though! It is really cool that he's willing to supply a discount if enough people sign up. (hint- everyone chip in and get him copies of the films as a gift as well, if he doesn't already have them)
  4. Not that I know of. I thought of designing one before, but realised I'd have to put much more work into the task than I was able to give at that time.
  5. Lavender Blue- could you post a link to the auction? We can figure out where you stand based on what he stated he was selling.
  6. Well, the outline of the book was registered as copyright in France in 1995. Maybe there's that going for him?
  7. What's funnier is when you mnake your hand straight, like fdoing a karate chop, and then come up behing someone and run it up their buttcrack, while yelling "Credit Card!" Seriously. It's a blast.
  8. When Yamato gives him the green light and not until then. Graham is usually very good about letting us know when new info will be released, but only once he's allowed to say it. Asking when reviews will be out are just going to be answered with silence or, most probably, an answer you won't be satisfied with.
  9. LOL!!! Nice rant, Skull-1. But not very enlightening. I'm sure everyone here understands "die-cast", but, as mentioned above, the generic term has become aceepted within the genre/industry as meaning "Die-Cast Metal". No reason to get your undies up in a bunch about it. Most people use shortened terms and slang when discussing anything within a given field, so why rant about this one?
  10. GreatMoose is lying!!! If I had a dollar for every time someone told me that...
  11. Heck he flies multiple VF's...
  12. I don't think I'll ever get sick of the VF-1, I just wish that the other VF's got some more attention (especially the VF-9;)).
  13. I DL'd it, but the best paper I have is heavyweight matte paper. Is there something better that'll run through my Epson inkjet?
  14. How quickly they forget the sacrifices made for them...
  15. Well actually, a person can only have one "masterpiece", which, as we all know, is the work that an apprentice does in order to prove that he's learned his craft and can now be considered a "Master" of his trade. A "masterpiece" is not always a person's best work, as is the mis-informed belief. P.S.- How do they do the eyes on those models? I've never done one, so I don't know.
  16. Dude- You collect toys. There is no such phrase as "nice for your wallet" for people like us!
  17. I already said I'm lame!!! DO YOU WANT ME TO COMMIT SEPPUKU?!? ...sorry, it was just gas. Of course, since M-Zero itself is a classified story, maybe... just maybe the Tiz wasn't destroyed in 2005, but it was simply reported to the public that it was to quell public fears that the UN couldn't keep track of it's own fleet... OK, I'm really reaching here...
  18. You knew it was bound to happen. I mean, look at how it started: -He thought she was totally hot (and therefore, wanted to 'boff' her) -She'd never had a man say these things to her before and fought then gave in to the strange feelings welling up inside her. She probably wised up once she got older. But Max was and still is a playa. The M3 intro (pool scene, hot blonde), the fact that the whole bridge crew of the Macross 7 is probably his own private harem.
  19. I know it was commissioned in 2005, but I didn't think it was also hijacked then as well. I'm lame.
  20. Ummm... is the gunpod supposed to mount that way on the FASTpack version of the toy? Because it looks like he's going to blow his nose... ...off. p.s.- DrClay: You suck. (What! You told me to say it!!!)
  21. I wouldn't be surprised if it is at least alluded to at some point. Even the possibility that the SV-51's are somehow involved in the hijacking of the Tsiolkovsky. As to the weapons, it works if the ship is designed for an anti-capital ship mission, since those things are expected to take place at long ranges and every will have plenty of time to manuever into position. But to have a limited amount of armament against smaller craft is just silly, even for the fictional world of Macross. The VF series itself was implemented in the expectation of having to fight it out with the giant-sized aliens hinted at on the ASS-1. Why wouldn't one also assume that those same aliens will have a fast and nimble fighter as well? A lot of ideas Studio Nue comes up with are pretty neat-o. But this one is generic and a little naive to state the least. Not that I don't like it. But overall the concept, not the physical design, could've used some work.
  22. Max Jenius (Macross) Capt. Goto (Patlabor) Kei and/or Yuri (Dirty Pair)
  23. Although it's a nifty design, the simple fact that you have to manuever the WHOLE ship in order to fire it's guns at a target is kind of old-school. Like "Sails and Rigging" old-school.
