  1. Check this out. This screen grab shows the maskless Predator on the right ramming his wrist blade up through the chin of an Alien on the left. It looks like the Alien also has the predator mandibles. Guess that hybrid from the end of the last movie is still alive, or another one comes about.
  2. Looks like they dumped the bulky rubber suits they had on the Predators last time. This guy is much more lithe and agile. Looks entertaining at least. Plus we'll get a whole new round of merchandising from the various figure companies.
  3. I hope those leg flaps will lower more than that. They should lay almost flat per the line art. You can see they resculpted the windscreen correctly and added popout mirrors - nice. I would like to see it have the candy apple reddish/metallic paint it sported in Part II instead of bare red pastic.
  4. I'll be getting the Proto-Garland for sure as I love the design and was hoping they'd do it. I got the military colored Garland set on sale at Image anime. It has the upgraded shoulders and looks pretty nice actually. I especially like the military pilot figure and the Yui figures.
  5. Nah, Nick Fury's been around since the 1960's, decades before Escape from New York. Nick Fury was simply supposed to be a badass soldier.
  6. Kirby would probably have more issue with the Stand Up Stan Lee bits on X-play where he constantly talks about doing Kirby's wife and stealing his ideas. Now those are funny as hell.
  7. This movie's gonna suck ass no matter what it's rated. From the ridiculous clips I've seen (launching cars at helicopters?, c'mon) it looks like Bruce Willis isn't even taking it seriously. Plus his sidekick is the Mac kid. If they had teamed him with PC, I'd see it.
  8. Looks like they're probably tossing the movie continuity. John does have more terminators after him, and is even being protected by a female one.
  9. Maybe, remember also that Richards recently had to have brain surgery after falling on his head out of a palm tree trying to fetch a coconut. I'm not sure if that was before or after he filmed the Pirates part.
  10. That was Dustin Hoffman that played Capt. Hook
  11. The scene after the credits is this: (highlight below to see it) It shows Elizabeth (Swann) Turner walking to the shore with her now 10yr old son. At sunset the green flash happens and the Dutchman appears with Will at the bow coming in for his one day on land.
  12. Why do the armors look so radically different and organic in that Twin Blood OVA? And the evil brother's human form is fairly different between the two as well .
  13. Just received mine today from Tisinc via Amazon. This bastard is much cooler and larger, actually, than I expected. Heavy too. I think some of you will regret it if you don't get one.
  14. It hasn't arrived yet, but I plan to leave it in cruiser mode as well, next to my other Capital ships like DX titanium Galactica and various Enterprises.
  15. FYI, Tisinc is peddling their wares on Amazon.com now and they have this toy for $119 plus $8 shipping. That rivals or beats all of the ebay overseas prices I've seen. Also, if you have Amazon.com gift certificates like I happened to, you can snag it at a nice discount to boot. I know they have a bad rep with some here but I figure they have to play it straight on sales thru Amazon or else. I ordered one and got the ship notice and tracking number the next day.
  16. Look, it's pretty clear the SDF-1 has knees and they are shown both in the lineart and the movie. You totally ragged on the guy when he was at least partially right and you were partially wrong . He should be allowed to continue posting.
  17. Actually, the Macross DOES bend it's knees in DYRL. It's in the scene where it's on earth floating over the island that Hikaru and Misa were on. The Meltran ship blasts off it's main guns and knocks it on it's ass. There is a clear front-on shot showing the knees bent.
  18. I think he's referring to how people post endless wish threads for a YF-19 fast pack or a tread/beta, for example, and then when they are actually produced, there are an equal number of threads about "WTF I'm not paying $x for 2 pieces of plastic and a dildo" threads by a lot of the same wishers. It's kind of annoying after a bit. But whatever, that's what it's all about I guess. On these renditions, I actually like the rounded edges they have gone with. I think they are closer to the line art than Toynami's sharp edge approach. The Legioss has very rounded edges in the lineart.
  19. Bet the whole set costs not much more than Toynami was going to ask for just their Beta. It probably also puts the nail in it's coffin. But I can't believe that Toynami didn't know CMS had this thing in the works. As much as some of you guys want a Tread toy I'm surprised you're already griping on things like super accuracy the attaching arm. Be happy they can link already.
  20. Anyone else think it's odd that the colonies have had space flight technology for over 5000 years (Per the fact that Tyrol said in the Lion's head nebula episode that the 13th colony followed a supernova that happened 5000 yrs ago on their trek to Earth), yet their technology does not seem to have progressed very much (other than FTL drive which really does not seem to fit their tech level). Look at how far we've come in the century since 1907. They should have some crazy futuristoc tech, not wired handsets. Even the newer Pegasus was not far beyond Galactica technologically.
  21. Yeah, they keep trotting it out to shows sso what's the deal? They making it or not?
  22. Tigh's also a huge hypocrite. After all the hatred he's expressed in previous episodes and early in this episode about Sagitarrans and others who wouldn't fight the cylons. He got pretty high and mighty with that doctor considering he's been party to a few secret executions of his own. Of course that makes his character that much more realistic since people do rationalize things to justify their own actions vs. others'.
  23. Did you all catch that the license plate on Hiro's dad's limo was NCC-1701 ?
  24. There was a link posted over on TBDX that had very nice multi-angle shots of each finished figure, but their BBS is down. Anyway, they really look great and fairly poseable. I'll be picking up the Garland and Proto Garland at least.
