In Star Wars, in the scene where stormtroopers enter the Death Star room with the red walls where R2 and 3PO are monitoring Luke and the rest down in the trash compactors, the trooper on the far right busts his head on the door coming in. It's pretty funny and made it into the film. I noticed when watching the Special Edition on HBO HiDef the other day that they actually gave the guy an "Umph" sound effect, in effect highlighting their blooper. Probably an inside joke at Lucasfilm.

The seller is a member here. That had to hurt to give it up that cheap considering what I think he probably paid for it.

They're throwing in some nice extras. Soldier figure with removeable helmet and Shinji heads, standing and sitting Yui figures. They know they have to add some enticements due to the bad press on the shoulders.

These were actually available at WalMart in some areas. And I also have one that is in a different box from a different company name, but same robot. The BBTS price is pretty good, better than eBay. I welcome any new 1/55 bootlegs since I collect them. It's fascinating that the design has spawned such a variety of imitators for 25 years.

Yes, but it keeps the thrill of the hunt alive!

If you buy a company you absorb all it's assets and liabilities. Consider, for example, there was a company that bought another company which had previously made asbestos. The new owner got nailed with waves of asbestos lawsuits. I forget the names, but this is an actual case. All the now defunct file sharing sites tried the same argument and were sued out of existence. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree and see what happens

Are you kidding? Lawyers live to find loopholes to allow them to sue companies with deep pockets like Google. Even if by some miracle Google develops some software to stop the upload of copyrighted material, some will get by for some length of time and that's all they need. Plus how long has all that stuff been out there to date. There is huge liability. I'm not saying I want them to be sued or taking sides. I just can't believe the legal dept. at Google ok'd the purchase.

YouTube has deleted over 29k files at request of Japanese media companies. So there may soon be no new anime found there. Who didn't see this coming? YouTube has a big target on it and Google reeaally f'ed up by buying it. Why? Because they have assloads of money and the infringement lawyers know it and are foaming at the mouths to sue them for it. I expect the lawsuits to start flying soon. full story: http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20061020/wr_nm/internet_japan_youtube_dc_1 ://http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=sto...n_youtube_dc_1

Why The Hell Is This Not On Dvd???
glane21 replied to renegadeleader1's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah, whoever wrote/directed that StarCom opening sequence definitely saw the opening battle of DYRL and copied the hell out of it, right down to the location in the rings of Saturn. -
I've said before that Yamato was missing an EASY win by not making a DYRL SDF-1 and now Wave has stolen their thunder. Serves them right.

Not just stickers, it's actually a wholly new box in Arabic and with arabic instructions. I have a small pic of one I will scan and post. Apparently they were sold in Iraq in early 90's, so they're probably all blown to hell by now.
-
My Matsushiro VF-1J also has the Takatoku backplate and no instruction manual. I think it was a quick reboxing effort on their part. Also as far as your still needed list, do you already have the VF-1J Hikaru in Arabic packaging?
-
Yes, the arms are a pain because they do not seem to lock into any postition between the legs.
-
If they don't make a DYRL SDF-1 then they're really missing an easy win in my opinion. It would sell big and the xformation is quite simple.
-
What are you talking about? He did make a 2 seater kit for the 1/48 with just a few new pieces required. Yamato could do the same.

I thought I was pretty clear in my earlier post that the Spanish and Italian releases were official Bandai, just with an altered wording box, probably with stickers. Also, the Taiwan Super bootleg toy is not a copy of the Bandai Strike, but of the Takatoku Super. Why? Because it has the Takatoku style head lasers and obviously the armor is the standard solid super armor (tips do not pop off to fit a strike cannon). It just has the red vs. yellow stripes is all, so people automatically think strike. Additionally, the Taiwan Super bootleg came in 2 versions, one with the valkyrie molded in white as in the above auction, and one with the valk molded in grey, which I have:

Anyone stay for the end credit clip? 415124 Sure did! Mainly because the first movie had a end credit clip too which explains why the monkey is still undead in this movie. BTW anyone play Monkey Island? For some reason I got the sense I was watching a live action version of it. 415132 I didn't know to stay. What is the end clip and also why is the monkey still undead?

No, just Roy 1S and Hikaru 1J. I have a cheap lot of the destroids in the For Sale section if anyone is looking. 416222 you do? where? I didn't see it. 416257 Here http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...80entry416380

Put it outside in the sun and rain for a couple weeks and it should look pretty yellow and crusty.

i think the one u mention boba is a taiwan bootleg. 415663 Right, that is the Taiwan bootleg, of which there is a white and grey valk version. The Bandai 1990 did have official releases in a Spanish language box as well as an Italian language box. But I forget if they were just stickers added to the standard box or not.

The HCMs have better proportions than the Toynamis, as well as a better nose and cockpit sculpt that make them look sleeker in gerwalk and jet. The Toynami nose sculpt is particularly ass-tastic. HCMs have better plastic as well.
