  1. Actually, the Macross DOES bend it's knees in DYRL. It's in the scene where it's on earth floating over the island that Hikaru and Misa were on. The Meltran ship blasts off it's main guns and knocks it on it's ass. There is a clear front-on shot showing the knees bent.
  2. I think he's referring to how people post endless wish threads for a YF-19 fast pack or a tread/beta, for example, and then when they are actually produced, there are an equal number of threads about "WTF I'm not paying $x for 2 pieces of plastic and a dildo" threads by a lot of the same wishers. It's kind of annoying after a bit. But whatever, that's what it's all about I guess. On these renditions, I actually like the rounded edges they have gone with. I think they are closer to the line art than Toynami's sharp edge approach. The Legioss has very rounded edges in the lineart.
  3. Bet the whole set costs not much more than Toynami was going to ask for just their Beta. It probably also puts the nail in it's coffin. But I can't believe that Toynami didn't know CMS had this thing in the works. As much as some of you guys want a Tread toy I'm surprised you're already griping on things like super accuracy the attaching arm. Be happy they can link already.
  4. Anyone else think it's odd that the colonies have had space flight technology for over 5000 years (Per the fact that Tyrol said in the Lion's head nebula episode that the 13th colony followed a supernova that happened 5000 yrs ago on their trek to Earth), yet their technology does not seem to have progressed very much (other than FTL drive which really does not seem to fit their tech level). Look at how far we've come in the century since 1907. They should have some crazy futuristoc tech, not wired handsets. Even the newer Pegasus was not far beyond Galactica technologically.
  5. Yeah, they keep trotting it out to shows sso what's the deal? They making it or not?
  6. Tigh's also a huge hypocrite. After all the hatred he's expressed in previous episodes and early in this episode about Sagitarrans and others who wouldn't fight the cylons. He got pretty high and mighty with that doctor considering he's been party to a few secret executions of his own. Of course that makes his character that much more realistic since people do rationalize things to justify their own actions vs. others'.
  7. Did you all catch that the license plate on Hiro's dad's limo was NCC-1701 ?
  8. There was a link posted over on TBDX that had very nice multi-angle shots of each finished figure, but their BBS is down. Anyway, they really look great and fairly poseable. I'll be picking up the Garland and Proto Garland at least.
  9. When did Graham say Orguss is unlikely? He knows what the line is so I don't think he will comment for fear of ticking off yamato. I still say it's the most likely.
  10. They're only 10cm tall and do not xform. But they look nice.
  11. Nope, can't be Mospeada because as JS Arclight says HG has the rights tied up - even in Japan. Remember that their MPC alphas were actually released there as well. I'd say it's Orguss. I know there are new smaller scale Orguss toys coming out from some other company, but that means nothing since in Japan they license based on scale. Just look at all the companies besides Yamato currently pumping out Votoms toys in different scales.
  12. I like having PVCs of the pilots to pose with the mechs as well. Baron V, you know they did release one of the female Gundam NT-1 Alex pilot, if you want one of her.
  13. Yeah, this is cool. I have a Hobby Japan with a drawing of a racer Garland. I was going to do a custom and this saves me the trouble.
  14. I don't get the continuity...is this after the New Generation? I thought the Invid were defeated at the end of New Gen. But they seem to be showing the Mars Base invasion again.
  15. I'm with you. RX-79G and Nu are my favorite Gundam designs. Does anyone here have that SCM RX-79G toy that was a crane price a few years back? I'm a little irritated that they are apparently making HCM pros 1/144 scale now. Why can't they stick with a scale and go with it? They always start re-releasing suits in new scales and/or details levels like msia vs. ex-msia. So there's always that one mobile suit you want that's in the wrong scale or line.
  16. I think the reason 1/55 customizing was so big in the late 90's was because at the time the only choices were to lay out big big $ for a Takatoku or Bandai original, or score a Jetfire and paint it. Lots more Jetfires in the US than the former. I don't remember anyone hacking up an original for customs unless it was a serious junker. 99.9% were jetfire or the occasional Joons (although even the Joons were pretty pricey).

    CM's Figures

The bootlegs have poorer paint apps, reduced clarity to the detail features, and they stink (literally).
  18. I saw Rudolph and Charlie Brown Christmas toys in stores this month, those were both Playing Mantis licenses. But I've also seen the same toys as "Memory Lane". So someone has their licenses and molds in full effect.
  19. A few months back, Big Lots got in loads of MG GP-01 gundam kits for $4.99 I never liked the design so I didn't get any.
  20. Which episode of Macross 0 had a ghost fighter in it? I don't recall ever seeing one hooked to a VF. The only ghost I remember seeing was the one in Mac+, which was supposed to have been chosen over the YF-21 and YF-19 to be replacing all piloted fighters, though I guess they changed their minds about that.
  21. I'm excited the line is continuing, but the helmet on the flightsuit is way too small.
  22. Maybe he has to eat the brains.
  23. The 1/60 Vf-1 series is getting a bit of a boost because of Yamato's apparent push of that scale going forward for the Q-Raus, VF-0's, YF-19, etc. Unless they pop up with a new improved version in that scale, you'd need one of the old ones to display an 'in scale' collection, despite the 1/48's obvious superiority.
  24. Awesome work! 2 questions: 1. Where'd you get the decals 2. Why would the Ferrari team have a Nismo (Nissan Motorsports) sticker on it?
  25. I'm guessing the nuclear/radioactive guy will be the source of the explosion that destroys New York (unless they stop it).
