I haven't watched a speck of Zeta...but is this movie reanimated ala DYRL?, or somewhat a cut and paste ala Macross Plus OVA and movie? But the trailer looks so kickass!

I heard otherwise from reviews and some collectors for the newer range, but it might be collector's bias? I don't care for the 1000001 characters that appear in starwars and their variants, cause i've seen the face sculpts and the paint application. They were indeed horrid. But I think building up a republic army isn't bad. The Clone Trooper is touted among SW collectors to be the most super-poseable figure in the line. I'm really liking the Clone Commander....and will probably get few of the basic trooopers (which have a lame quick-draw action when you press the legs but apparently loses no poseability). Paint application like everything in the line is a hit and miss. Looks like crap on some, looks forgiveable in others. You'd think White and Black would be simple to paint and not get bad paint finishings on it. But then again, i want a republic army badly now. And that clone commander looks kick ass.

After watching star wars, i've been bitten by the bug. I MUST HAVE SOME CLONE TROOPERS!! Some people told me that the Target Exclusive clone trooper is the best figure to have due to its poseability. But the price for this thing is absurdly more than the rest. Anybody has one of these or some screenshots of one?

Loving those super sylphs! Are they small? I want one of those despite the price.

Gosh...trudged through 5 pages of this thread...and finally I'm here. Just seen it an hour ago. Can't say I was too impressed with it, with all the "rave reviews" i'm getting from everywhere including here. I felt lots of things could be done better....but I think where it matters, it was done well...or at least done with good effect. The fall of anakin was well done, but probably can be improved a little.You don't go choking the person you love and do evil for, even if you think she betrayed you.....wtf? But otherwise, you could feel anakin's confusion and distrust. Really kick ass! They emphasized on Anakin and Obiwan's close relationship (thank god) but didn't do it enough. I think this should've been done more in Episode 2 which IMHO had alot of wasted screentime on useless things. It would've made Obi-wan's disappointment with Anakin more tragic. Episode 2 should've dumped the love story and made it more a story between Anakin and Obi-wan. The final fight between master and student was pretty good too. Very dramatic. Although I thought the scene where Obi-wan leaves anakin there to burn very tragic and effective, the "Jedi" in me felt that Obi-wan was such a bastard for letting his "brother" and the one he "loved" suffer there. Should've just killed the biatch and save him from his suffering. The least a "friend" could've done IMHO. But then again maybe Obi-wan couldn't bring himself to kill Anakin. Leave the force to handle him. Pffft. Clone troopers....man they're so cool. Wished we could've seen more of them. It was pretty sad that all they needed was a single phrase and it turned them against their most trusted allies, the Jedis. Pretty sad too how they just died. I was so sure that Commander Cody would feel a tad remorseful or sad at receiving the order, but there was no emotion. The clones do not have free-thought do they? Don't know about this,and a question for the fans, what happens to the clones after the clone wars? Someone told me long ago that they became too unstable and were gotten rid off, and then replaced by galactic conscripts that become storm troopers? This true? Main character take downs were pretty anti-climatic IMHO. Might be because I watched too much clone wars (Cartoon Network) but Dooku lost too easily for a Sith Lord, and Grievious (who stood up to a whole squad of Jedi in CW) got 2 limbs cut off by Obi-wan easily and died from a blaster shot to his heart....anti-climax as well. Windu death could've been cooler...like he should've expected Anakin's betrayal, force pushed him away or something....but got his hand cut off , looked surprised and screamed like a school girl.....oh well. Droid humour was pretty unecessary but i guess it was cool that it made R2 look extra lovable. Gotta love that astromech. And i'm surprised nobody mentioned this, but i found the sudden shift of technology at the ending extremely funny. For the whole episodes 1-3 we see very nice computer consoles, targeting computers , etc, then at the end we see your "classic" all white background with random red lights on the walls for Bale Organa's ship, and the classic grey for the star destroyer interior with random fluorescent lights all around. Wasn't very subtle with the technology "drop" were they? Oh, and did anyone catch the Millenium Falcon cameo parking at the Senate building when Obiwan and Anakin returned with Palpatine rescued? Could been any Correlian Corvette I guess but it could've been the Falcon as well.

Ahhhhh! Must....get.....in......to...E3!!! I'm considering trying to go and just walk in (hey, always works for me in restricted pits at races...), but I'm afraid I'm gonna end my day smashed and on a plane with a one-way ticket to Tokyo. Yes, but then you'll make friends with a ninja, buy a Cool Thing, and go insane. And everything looks more interesting when you're insane. I don't even want to start thinking about the psychotic robot girl/PS2 accessories and the manipulative goth chicks.... And if you're lucky, you'll get to meet a school girl who's head over heels over you and a H-game seiyuu who does those "moaning noises" just the way you like it.

Thanks for the replies. So as it stands it seems the japanese renditions of the star wars figures seem to be the best bet for collecting. I'm still wanting on of them X-wing fighters though.

Hi guys. I don't intend to start a new star wars collecting spree here. But since the dawn of time I always wanted an X-Wing toy or die-cast display that doesn't look like crap or costs a spine and a liver. Any new X-wings coming out or any to recommend that doesn't cost you a bomb? I saw some nice big X-wings in some collection pictures but not sure where they are from. And what's with the Hasbro Star Wars figures? They have almost every freaking character in star wars. They don't even look that good and their "lightning launching emperor" like features are dodgy at best. But everyone wants to complete this hugeeee series. And then from this series there are the rare figures....that everybody will queue outisde TRU to get..like Vader or some Target exclusive Clone Trooper. What makes these figures rare? Hasbro ships only 1 Vader in every carton of 10 or something? Just curious about the star wars collecting scene.

Apart from the acguy, i think i will collect a whole army of zaku warriors. They look cool. Will definately get a Gouf ignited when it comes out.

I haven't gotten any HCM pros, but i think the AC guy will the 1s one i'm getting. Its sooooooooooooooooo cuteeeeeeeeeee.
