Holy sheizer......there's violence and T&A in this anime. What a welcome change. Just finished the 3rd episode. Those infantry seem to be using that Israel-created rifle which can shoot around corners.

The Official Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Thread
wolfx replied to Noriko Takaya's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Heh..the new buster machine has bra and pantsu as accesories. The amount of ordinance each Buster Machine carries is silly. They can wipe out entire planets should any of the Topless go rogue. -
Haha....shocked gubaba is cool! Looks like alot of static.

Deadzone: I got it from another toyforum. I know no details on this product or what exactly is Yamato coming out with. Anyway here are pictures of the AS in play.

YOU GUYS STOP MAKING ME WANT ONE DAMMIT!!!!

The HCM pros always look better in pictures than they do in the box. Or maybe that's just me. I haven't bought a HCM pro yet. Apprehensive on the size:price ratio.

I say grey stripes on black, or a "Ivanov" custom would look pretty cool. Shadow Valkyrie! And if you have l33t skillz and adventurous, an orange/black Tiger Stripe scheme.

Haha...galvatron was one of the fugliest gen1 toys around. I always though he looked like a fugly pencil sharpener.

The other Terminus units should be out soon.

Hobby search already has it up! It has a nice Knight Sabers stand as well. Still can't tell the size from the pictures, but it looks really good. Priss type: http://www.1999.co.jp/asp/GoodsDetails_e.a..._right101_e.asp Rinna type: http://www.1999.co.jp/asp/GoodsDetails_e.a..._right101_e.asp

Hey....u stole my idea.... But you did it better than I ever could.

Yeah....i love the opening homage to Daicon4. Sends tingling down my spine. But on episode 3, they're using it too much....everytime he gets a "happy break" they start playing the song. Its gonna lose its novelty soon at this rate. Oh btw, Episode 4 raw with subs is out on D-addicts. "Itseitherrealoritsadreamitsneverreallyinbetween.... Twiligghhhtttt.....i only meant to stay awhile......Twilighhhtttttttt. "

I'll take a look at it later when i get back. Thanks for the link.

Oooh boy now you've done it. A1 being as patient as he was wouldn't let you off this time...... Its ironic that the troll derails his own thread , directing flames at himself. I'm sure most people here are looking at Shadow Chronicles with an open mind. People, just continue with the topic and ignore the troll. Hopefully it'll disappear.

Right click the link and save target as. Should work better that way. Its 150 megs so streaming it isn't a good idea. Saw it and thought...meh...no biggie. The CG looks pretty much like what's being churned out like Action Man, Acceleracers, GI Joe etc. But I must say their Cel mixed with CG scenes were done pretty well. I'd say at this point, HG can either make it or break it. Looks 50/50. They can make this into a new cult classic, or a commercial flop. Oh well...if it means better, cheaper and more Mospeada toys.....

I just saw episodes 1 and 2! Absolutely hilarious!! I loved it! I also realised that the main guy looks somewhat like the anime club president in my uni 2 years ago. Sorry Stu.

New Gundam FIX and ZEONOGRAPHY on the way...
wolfx replied to GRAND CANNON's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Next, on Gundam Seed Destiny! Fly to the heavens! FAITH IMPULSE! btw...those wings are EVA05 wings. -
I wouldn't grade gunbuster to hnk.....but i guess the premise is about the same. Fighting aliens light years away.

Its due to storyline. Starscream does indeed grow larger later(king starscream) on in cybertron, and his regular sized figure will be in a TRu exclusive as a repaint with vector prime in fall. The sizes are mainly in relevance to the show. Transformers one way or another have always been out of scale, the G1 seekers were like 1/80 while the autobot cars were mostly 1/48s. Then you get someone like predaking whom noone knows what the hell scale he is. For the most part, cybertron stands on its own and most of the toys are in the same scale as the show...for example, jackshot is not the same size as hotshot, and hotshot ain't as big as prime. 316091[/snapback] Heh...and not to mention other than transformation inconsistencies during G1, there seems to be a "enlargement" and "shrinking" during transformation. Most obvious is Megatron who is the same size as Prime becomes into a small gun. And of course there's Jetfire who's slightly larger than Prime, is able to carry about 6-7 autobots including Prime in its cargo bay in ...urmm....valkyrie mode. And Prime sometimes pulls a clowns in car act when the whole autobot brigade comes out of his trailer...when it should only fit 1-2 cars.

If you want it just for mech action, then I would say this isn't for you. Hoshi No Koe, as you know, is a love story short, at its core. The mecha scenes are all rendered in CG, and I assume as you also know, was done solely by Makoto Shinkai on his Mac G4. And as such, the CG don't look very impressive, and if compared to industry standards such as Macross Zero, Yukikaze and possibly Vandread as a lower benchmark, HNK is far from it. But seriously for one guy with too much time on his G4, I'll call it pretty good. CG grade aside, the mech battles itself are pretty short. They hint that there are other Tracers (the mechas) during the 1st and 2nd battles showing them launch and returning to the ship, but you don't really see them in action or getting blown up as cannon fodder. The action revolves around the main girl and that itself is pretty limited. So in closing, to get HNK just for the mecha action, i wouldn't recommend it. But seriously as a short story, this show rocks. So the choice is yours.

Anyone else played this game? I just finished it and there are "WTF?"s all over my head. The game's politically charged to its core, maybe more so than MGS. But making sense of the whole thing can be a real headache. I mean, you talk to decapitated heads, eyeball-less ghosts, a guy in a bondage suit hung on a ceiling, and you play an assasin with multiple personalities. Its enough to make you go bonkers I tell you. But strange story/plot aside, the game's system is simple yet fun. You just walk on a predetermined path with branches in the path in 3rd person mode. Puzzles, you solve somewhat nonsensical puzzles ala Resident Evil. The puzzles are all easy. The battle system is all about sniping. You switch to 1st person mode to shoot at monster-like "Smileys". Yes...that's what they call them. They basically run up to you and suicide bomb you. You gotta shoot them before they reach you. My head's a mess. This game is messed up. "We're in a tight spot." I'm going to get nightmares tonight.
