YOU LIE! There's no spec 2 madness! This episode seems to be a turning point for most of the characters from gekko state. I didn't like, but KINDA liked how Holland finally got down from his high horse. It was sudden, but man, there goes all his cool bad-ass points they've been keeping on him. I wonder who that new monk/pope guy is.

I can safely say for some reason, i've never seen the jetfire toy as a kid. Because if i did, i'm sure i'd be even more confused than I already was with Robotech/Macross. What more now with Transformers. Don't remember any transformable models from the time either. But i know my GBP model was a piece of crap that looked nothing like what was on the box art.

This might not apply to you old foggies, as seems most of the people here are above 30 from the age thread, but really when Robotech was most popular then, I remembered as a young lad that I was disappointed with the toy line. What most of us wanted as kids was a toy that was fully transformable just like in the cartoons. Something like Transformers. Matchbox came out with toys that me, as a kid just gave the pass. Really disappointing "Veritech" fighter that couldn't transform. The action figures were laughable. There was no transformable cyclone. There were the occasional Takatoku macross toys (that really confused me as a kid cause i thought they were called Robotech???) which was everything a kid wanted but OMFG....they costed a bomb even then. I mean...no parent would spend that kinda moolah on a toy for a kid. I can't remmeber the price then, but i remembered it was more expensive than most Transformers available. I wanted that taka so much but alas......too expensive. Not even worth my good grades nor my b'day. A kid in the neighbourhood got a taka 1S and i remembered i was jealous beyond my mind cause that pesky kid showed it off to everyone but wouldn't let anyone touch it. There were also the occasional Macross model kits which i think were by ARII. I pestered dad to buy me the GBP one, thinking it was a toy only to open it and find out its a model kit. A NON TRANSFORMABLE one at that. Sigh. How depressing. My dreams of a transformable valkyrie went un-answered up till few years ago when i found out Yamato were making 1/60 valks. Bandai came out with the Taka reissues soon after and the rest was history. How was your experience during the old days of Macross/Robotech toy collecting? Did you think Matchbox handled their license well? How about the older bunch of us, who probably had access to funds to buy the then superior takatokus (if they could be found)?

To add to kensei's "essay", the 1st generation valks Hikkie 1A and Roy 1S seemed to have a problem with the elbow joints where the the last "click" could not be achieved for a 90 degree angle. I'm not sure if they fixed this in the newer releases of Roy, but this problem is not present in my Max 1A and Hikaru 1S. It may be a tiny problem but some poses i require that final "click". >_<

Loved this cartoon when i was a lil one. The soundtrack of that colt being stupid was just hilarious. I kept singing it when i did a boo boo. Hahahaha! XD

Graham: I remembered that you mentioned sometime ago that the seat had to be manually made to turn the right side up. But from those pictures it seems that it tilts up as the nose cone goes into the chest. So is it true that the seat is part of the transformation?

24 this year. Man i'm amongst the youngest but I'm aging badly. Getting fat, losing hairline........ and i haven't done half the things i wanna do yet. Oh the cruel world.

MPC Convoy it seems just had a reissue lately. Either that or the local toy stores which were hoarding him suddenly decided to let them go on the advent of a reissue.

Alot of stuff you see here are fan-made designs and toys/models of valkyries that never show up in any anime but just as design sketches. In the case of the MinMay Guard, its a fan-made design, along with the Enigma and Blue Roses, made sort of "official" by Hasegawa by release of model schemes based on the designs.

Slight correction on Macross 7: Macross 7 had the TV series, 3 Encore OVA episodes which took place during the TV series ( i think they were unaired episodes), a 20 minute movie "The Galaxy Is Calling Me", and a 4 episode OVA, Dynamite.

I find the 21/22 gerwalk alright. What i find fugly is teh VF-11's gerwalk. It looks like a huge chunk of the back is missing. XD

Some person here was doing a Thunder Hummer custom wasn't he? It was all at design phase though. Not sure if its still goin on. Now looking at the thunder hummer, modding the current GDP into it will be quite a chore. The chest armour has to be completely changed as it hangs lower on the chest and the rib vents are not present. I just realised this time round that the thunder hummer has a long crotch and looks nice with it....however wrong that may sound. XD

No...but it looks like it has Freedom's beam cannon wings, and 2 beam machine guns on the thigh armour.

I think i'm alone when i say i don't like Daggerfall and Elderscroll series. I dunno why. I like to see my bare nakedness when i take off all the armour though.
