Just seen episode 1. Granted that the mecha designs are kinda "WTF" just like how i thought the LFOs were when i laid eyes on them, but i think it will grow on people. I don't know when the show takes place, but it definately is the future. There seems to be a highschool which trains up pilots or something....i dunno...the student council seeem to be important people in the military or something. <standard mecha-anime template here> Well anyway, genki teenager boy sees a pretty girl at the school pool, she jumps into it and he follows suit and can't find her in the pool. Ghost maybe? (I'm reminded of Mishima Reika of Rahxephon) So like suddenly she appears to him again, teleports him to the pool again where they jump in and he suddenly appears in a giant robot, The ZegaPain. SO naturally main guy has some hesitations, but before he knows it, he's kicking butt with the robot while the commanders watching from a distance comment on his greatness. (ho hum) The mecha in the series seem to have a weird green crystal as the main torso with limbs coming out of it. Somewhat like Z.O.E, it can materialise weapons out of thin-air with a sorta "digital" effect. There are computer-related terms thrown out like "Tokyo Server" which might hint they are in a virtual computer world. *shrug* Not much can be said about the show yet, but its action scenes and CG were alright.

The chicken walker thingy is some obscure mecha i've seen on some boards recently. Its basically an eyeball with an inverted leg/claw. Weird.

I'm glad to hear positive reviews of this movie. I was rooting for this production since i heard about its filming and then its trailer. Kudos. Can't wait for it to reach here.

I knew about this new anime but dunno it was kawamori designed. I just gave it a pass since it was Gonzo. THe designs look like....Bohemian Cyberpunk? XD

Ok, i've seen 2 episodes and thought it was awesome. Into the 3rd episode i'm like Speechless. This OVA rocks.....the CGI is awesome and so is the action. The story throws the viewer into some sort of war fought between 2 sides in the spirit realm, seperate from the human realm. And the viewer really doesn't know WTF is going on except things blowing up with bullet time put to good effect. The story reveals almost nothing about what's going on and reveals very little tit bits as each episode progresses, with cool effect. Thus due to the nature of the story , i won't say more. But check out the screenshot below. Karas has the ability to use anime *cough* I mean...CGI-magic, to transform into any vehicle he desires, which includes a batmobile sorta car, and in most occasions, a real cool looking jet. Go watch it.

Looks interesting. It has moe-moe lil girl sidekick too to rake in the lolikons. Action looks schweet too but that might probably be just the 1s ep. I'm gonna sample it.
