    There's not much "plot" to "diverge" from the original anyway. There was more plot from the games and novels after the 1s movie but Blood + is standalone and doesn't follow the canon storyline.

    Blood+ was pretty good. Good story, nice characters. Too bad alot of them were prematurely killed off. I was only annoyed that the characters that annoyed me most was left alive by the end of the show.

    Finished the twins arc. I am slightly disturbed by their "origins". They were used as perverse entertainment by perverted men who enjoy looking at little kids having sex and killing other people. What's more disturbing is that this kinda thing which i thought only existed in movies made by Quentin Tarantino might be true.     Call me a pervert....but cute girl with big gun just makes me go Moe~ This show is filled with nonsensical cool....like 2 traumatised brats wielding an ax and a M60 machine gun?!?! But i dun care. Its "cool". I didn't mention it before but I like how they depict Chang as the classic Chow Yun Fatt kinda character.

    Danny Choo has an interesting picture about Gundam Unicorn, which is unconfirmed to be the next Gundam anime or a novel. (I think its more probably the latter) The mecha are designed by Katoki and silly name aside, that Gundam looks kinda cool.     I think with apocalyse episode 3 , the igloo series ends. I can't treat Igloo as a serious UC series as it seems to make fun of its cast, the 603, and how its such an ill fated ship. Watching it makes me feel like laughing and getting depressed at the same time. And the funny CGI facial expressions are nowhere near Final Fantasy quality.

And from that "buster baseball bat" picture, looks like the "spikes" "towers" whatever you wanna call it is static and can't rotate with the shoukders. No biggie really. This toy rocks!! Makes me wanna get 2.....but can't afford 2.

    That Buster Collider picture makes me wonder if the shoulder "spikes" are able to rotate with the shoulders to allow the hands to point up. Because from that picture it seems to imply that it can't. No big deal for me really.

    A local shop's newsletter said they had the gunbuster on display. But sale of the item only commences on the November 11th. Will go check it out and oogle at it!

    If you're gonna travel alot by train (i'm sure you will), explore your options with a rail pass. Japan Rail offers a buncha packages specially for tourists (locals can't buy it) which offer you a cheap flat rate to go all over japan for 2 weeks, a month etc. Have a very good english guide to the railway system in Tokyo or wherever you wanna go like Kyoto etc. Very very important. And of course get on the right trains. It can be confusing at 1st. Akihabara is a must visit, if you're an anime/toy/figure fan. Asakusa is the place with the big lantern. An obvious tourist spot. A japanese friend will make your stay alot better and easier.

    Am i the only one bothered by the gap in the chest? Graham's mentioned before that this will be fixed in the final version, but if this is the near production test shot, i'm kinda worried. The chest gap really ruins battroid mode for me.

    I'll take your word for it that the elbow joints aren't as fragile as they look, Graham, but if this is a near production ABS testshot, i'm disappointed with the gap which still exists between the nose cone and the top of the chest. Was hoping they'd fix this in the production version.

    Yeah....some of the chogokins give you optional parts that let you replace the parts to non-transformable parts so its more "accurate". For the EVAs (which i have) its the shoulder blades. They come in the standard ones and those that are slightly "thicker" so it can store the progressive knife and the spike launcher. I just leave it with the ones with most accesories. Damn that gunbuster is good lookin. CAN'T BEAR IT!

    Probably more accurately, what's the 1st toy that you bought with your OWN money (not your parent's) and made you wanna collect more after that.
