IMHO, being a long-term but not uber-fan: Gillian Anderson is an A+ actress (both in skill and hotness), in a "C" movie or so. The movie is VERY character-driven, not plot-driven. It is about Mulder and Scully, not "the case". Basically, the exact opposite of the first movie. I can spoil as little or much as someone wants, just PM me if you wanna know something. If you want a super-vague 2-word plot summary, read here: It does not tie in to any "established" plots in the series, so if you missed half of a season or something, it won't matter. And even if you're a big fan, there's SO many in-jokes and obscure references, you won't get them all. And heck, even some big references I'd forgotten until they were mentioned on screen.

Yup, I'm passing on all Flints until we get a cartoon one. (With a new head sculpt preferably). Would also like cartoon season 2 Roadblock (with new head sculpt preferably). I'd like a cartoonish Duke, but not with such PURE YELLOW hair. Yellower than the regular fig yes, but not yellow like the McDonald's logo. (basically, I want my figures to follow the cartoon colors/patterns---just don't have such EXACT matches to the animation cel colors---it just doesn't work a lot of the time) (ironically, cartoon Lady Jaye is one of the few that's actually too realistic IMHO----needs more intense colors)

Things to watch out for: Step 5 of fighter to gerwalk---those are actually the knee caps. They hinge separately from the legs, and they have quite a grip in fighter mode. Be sure you're raising the knee cap UP, not trying to bend the lower legs down. Step 12 of fighter to gerwalk--the shoulder pad DOES raise up and angle slightly, but it's only like 1mm. Raise the "outer" edge first, should help you figure it out. Will distinctly click/snap into place in all positions. The nosecone will not lock/hold in place by itself---it is held in place by being trapped between parts of the fuselage once the torso is all locked together. The "z-folding" hinge by the shoulder (step 13 of F to G)---impossible to describe, just kind of fiddle with it until you figure out the "fully forward" and "fully back" positions of it. Its main purpose is to "lock" the diecast part of the shoulder in gerwalk/battroid mode. (the diecast piece is lowered onto it, and kind of catches an angled tab on the hinge)

Yeah, but my point was that the "most common" appearance should be the "main" one, and the "first appearance" should come only later, if ever. Thus, the first Cover Girl figure we get should have auburn hair, and then, maybe, possibly, eventually later---a blonde one. But do not make blonde, then make us wait for a "normal" one.

Damn straight. However, I say "normal" cartoon appearance trumps first. Otherwise, we'd have blue 'n purple SnakeEyes and blue 'n mustard Baroness. First appearances are rarely "on-model" it seems---or they change them early on, then the next 50 eps are consistent.

Quick theory: Ozma's valk has never/rarely been seen without armor yet because we're not supposed to know about the giant skull marking on the back. I mean, if you haven't been scouring Macross forums, you probably wouldn't know. It's supposed to be an "oh, cool" surprise at some point.

And look how much "skinnier" and line-art-correct it is compared to the DX by having just a few little removable parts--half of which are removable on "perfect" toys anyways.

Kind of a request: If anyone happens to get a Soul Calibur 4 faceplate they don't want/need, I'm interested in buying it. Any of the ones that aren't Yoda. (there's at least 3 that I know of--2 that are cool, and one with Yoda). None of the stores that offer them exist in Iowa.

And here I was about to come in and undercut people for having ulterior motives... While we can normally blame EXO for anything, I'm totally agreeing with EXO here. (I swear, my mod-sense was tingling when I first clicked on the thread)

Is Hasbro retooling the Baroness or something? Awfully few of her in the 25th line, considering her popularity. Especially if you want a "normal" one, and not drastically-different repaint/remold. (I'd like cartoon colors myself--with the grey/silver gloves, etc) There's a zillion possible basic repaints of her--pure black, pure dark grey, black with accents, dark grey with accents, etc. Yet all we've seen since the very first 5?-pack are 2 obscure repaints. PS--where's Cover Girl? Or is she unlikely due to not being able to use many/any existing parts?

I use the "chair" piece in my Milia just as "insurance" and for looks, as it covers the gap.

It's painted, but it's still a rapid-prototype very early sample. It won't really tell us anything. Random concern I just had: Bandai will paint the colors on the final ones "too bright/primary"--just like on their prototypes. Alto's white is TOO white. Ozma's yellow is TOO yellow. Yamato learned their lesson, and none of their valks are PURE white---they're very very light grey, which looks a lot better. And it took them a while, but they eventually started making Roy with a more golden-yellow, as opposed to lemon-yellow. I fear that Bandai will do like the 1/55, and use PURE white for Alto and lemon-yellow for Ozma--and it'll look bad. Ozma's valk is fairly dark, despite the yellow--because it's not super-bright yellow. And Alto's valk is the same "very pale grey" that Roy's VF-0 is.

12 minutes, 16 secs in of Part 2 of the OVA---they clearly say "Alpha One". (I'm going by audio, not script/sub) And every part thereafter. But when he's arriving on Eden in his VF-11, he says "Eagle". Same pilot, same DVD disc, different planes. And we KNOW the VF-11 is NOT named "Eagle". I still say the YF-19 (and -21) have NO name at all, and that Eagle, Alpha, and Omega are all simply various callsigns of various planes/pilots in the anime, not the plane's name. (Otherwise, the VF-1 would be named "Skull" or "Vermillion") "Skull Four" is no more a name for Alto's VF-25, than "Alpha One" is for Isamu's YF-19. Macross is pretty consistent for how radio callsigns are used, across series. And Red Five is of course Luke Skywalker.

I am definitely getting it--it's the 1/60 I'm still undecided on (Full armor is the clincher--I demand FULL armor for the 1/60). I'd probably get Alto for the kit, Ozma for the 1/60. Unless a valk with even cooler markings shows up.

IMHO, ignore the 9600 period. Either get a 8800, or 9800. Or two of them. PS--if I were buying a new card today, it'd be a 9800GTX+.

The feet and canards are almost identical between the -27 and -51. Plus the "very long, very thin gunpod"
