Could you expand on that? Rotate which part of the leg inwards---topside or bottom? And what do you mean by the plates being glued?

Nah, they're going to REALLY annoy people by doing: Idolmaster F-14D for $20, with F-15E included free. (only way to get F-15E) Idolmaster Rafale for $20, with F-18F free (only way to get Super Hornet Idolmaster Su-27 for $20, with YF-23 free (only way to get YF-23) F-14D, Rafale, and Su-27 will be free in normal camo.- 7119 replies

Ok, got my Alto from HLJ today. Only checked a few little things, won't transform until tomorrow or even the next day, but did check opening gear/canopy etc, and transformed just enough to put the gunpod on. A few little niggles/quirks/questions: 1. The canopy seems to securely click closed, but the main section is a little higher than the windscreen. Inherent, common, fixable? 2. Left side seems overall more secure/flush in fighter mode---notably how the left wingroot lies alongside the leg, and how "high" the leg is in fighter mode. If the entire fighter was as flush/tight as the left side, it'd look amazing--but the right side, the leg seems to "sag" just a little bit, making a bit of a gap/seam all around it. (and the right leg panel which you open for moving the ventral fin seems to never quite close) Overall, my -27 seems to be more flush/secure in fighter mode---when it's together, everything goes EXACTLY into a certain spot. Despite being a later design/mold, the -25 renewal seems to have fewer pegs/tabs/clicks, relying more on "hinge friction" to hold it together---everything seems to stay in place, but only about half of it really seems to go in as tight/flush/close as it possibly can.

I transformed mine once, and that's all it took.

Ok, now I know most TF fans aren't as picky as me or Valk fans when it comes to sleek jet-modes and lack of kibble, but I am surprised at how many people are saying this is the best jet-mode of TFC's not-Aerialbots. To me, it's a big part of the reason I passed on the set----here's their F-16: You can't tell me they couldn't have trimmed off SOME of the blockiness there.- 9552 replies

With all the un-filled demand, I think FanToys should go ahead and produce AcousticWave. Pricing it similar to the US MP, but ACTUALLY BEING EASY TO OBTAIN and I think they'd get a good amount of sales. Though the amount of accessories(like casettes) that the US one has may be hard to equal, value-wise.- 18291 replies

Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Pacific Rim'
David Hingtgen replied to fifbeat's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just got back from seeing it. Stayed to watch the entire credits hoping to spot MW's resident model-maker listed but didn't see it (but the non-alphabetical parts did make it hard to try to keep an eye out at times).- 1207 replies

Sv-51. Doesn't initiate delimiter mode every time you try to transform it. And it's friggin HUGE.

Videogames are the same------Nintendo's about the best example. Zelda and Mario games are developed by Nintendo themselves. Those are 'first party' games. But if say Capcom or Square makes a game for Nintendo---they are licensed and official games, but not "first party" games from Nintendo directly. Capcom etc are "third party" developers, who publish their games for Nintendo/Sony/MS. Tengen would be the game equivalent to the most-common use of TF third-party terminology------unlicensed, but compatible.- 9552 replies

Well, mine has recently changed to "This order is currently being double-checked before final packing". That's something at least.

Actually that's what I expected too, and didn't actually click on it until I'd seen it get bumped a couple times.

If its not going to transform, making it look like an MP is pointless. Go for G1 toon accuracy. Or simply "whatever looks awesome". I still dislike how MP-01 is now practically the canon G1 Prime---it's not THAT good of a design, but everyone copies it. And having MP-10's half-fuel-tanks and wheel covers is REALLY lazy.- 18291 replies

He'll look much better with his giant cyber-bow-gun removed from behind his head and actually held as a weapon. BTW, it does seem that against all common sense, Justitoys is going ahead with their Predaking. So yes, that means there's now FOUR third-party Predakings coming.- 9552 replies

First time we've seen the black stripes on the wings. Will be interesting to see if they got the grey ones on top of the intakes---Yamato forgot them, until Graham got them to add them in. ::edit:: Pic added while typing---and they forgot them. It's not a HUGE marking, but it is one of the "core" ones that's not really subject to interpretation/detail level etc, like ejection seat triangles etc.

Yup, Valkyrie Profile is second ONLY to Xenogears. I feel however, that many people don't get the full effect of VP, because nowadays they all play it according to the FAQ, and see the "good" ending right off the bat---they don't know just how differently it plays out "normally". (and playing it the "good" way, then skipping the last step so as to see the normal ending doesn't count---you still saw the "good" 2nd half of the game---you really have to play the entire game twice to see it all--it's darn near 2 similar, but different stories on the same disc) The best example I can give, is Castlevania: SOTN. If you didn't know, it's totally possible to play the game, beat it, and think that's it. But there's a 2nd, inverted castle, if you know how to trigger it. Valk Profile 1 is almost like that. The 'good' ending, is more like the entire 2nd half of the game.- 7119 replies

I think the Su-35 was inspired by the YF-21-----it seems to be trying to have an all-seeing external sensor suite for the pilot: -

SDCC 2013 Hasbro Exclusives: Jetfire Skystriker
David Hingtgen replied to Chet's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
But it just becomes circular again---the DYRL scheme (and Roy's TV scheme) is basically the real-life Jolly Rogers scheme on the F-14---which is what the Skystriker is in the first place. Heck, with the slats out, you even get red stripes on the wings:- 158 replies

FF9 is excellent and under-rated. I think a lot of people ignored it after FF8, or somehow "carried over" their dislike of 8 onto 9. 9's music is especially good (even among Uematsu-composed FF) If it only had a decent villian, it'd be extraordinary. (they really should have made even more allusions/tie-ins to FF1, would have helped it a lot IMHO, regarding villain/plot/motivation)- 7119 replies

I ordered for the "Aug restock" and my situation is like above---but I've got card activity and know the exact amount charged, so I figure they're "actually getting ready to ship".
