1. Yes, the front part of the GBP-1S's back pack booster is detachable. No, you cannot attach a regular FAST Pack version on it. Graham 356357 Question: What do the the back pack units do on the GBP? Are they Minimissile pods like the the "Super" or are they just boosters to carry they core Valk to safety when they eject from a damaged suit of armor?
2. One thing I am curious about is the "point" of a stealth colors paint job for a Valkyrie, IIRC they have the Overtech feature called "Active Stealth". The only theory I can offer that makes any sense is that the scheme is strictly for visual stealth in space/night. The black/basalt/gray color pattern would be pretty effective especially for approach through a starfield. With the above theory in consideration I would think the stealth color scheme would be used primarily for "Fist Of The Fleet" assignments. Just my take.
3. Thanks for posting that, I had been looking for it off and on for a while. I too am stoked about getting a Garland finally. C'mon BBTS don't let me down...
4. Yeah Money Shots are far more my style.
5. She rides good but fueling her is a tad pricey.
6. I am happy to say my VF-1J "Super Stealth" is for the most part "fit as a fiddle". Like I have read, the Reactive missile brackets are on the loose side but after some fingernail pollish they hold just fine. I guess I was lucky.
7. Damn! When is this one being released? The calendar I have seen said May 19'th. So far all I have seen is a bunch of magazine reviews.
8. The weights that a lot of Japanese writers assign to their creations are for the most part insanely low (Gundam especially so). Also you can jack the tech level up on Macross designs pretty high due to "Overtechnology" and that should give a notable break on weight and volume.

Question......

Ah, but does it make the transformers transforming noise? Graham 400077 Only when he doesn't keep it oiled. I'd venture there are many of us who can change to "Storm Attacker" mode.
10. Re: The part of the quote in Bold. You kicked her ass to the curb right the >BEEP< then and right the >BEEP< there right? Right?!
11. I've got one of the LV-1S head kit with a "hollow barrel laser" set to boot, but I have virtually no time as of late for such projects.
12. I see your image and raise you a TF Classic Hot Rod sketch :
13. It really does look like the LV1 has a really angry and better armed older brother to wade in when it is getting it's gray butt kicked around the schoolyard. The "layerings of gray" color scheme going on here, but I do think I will use my spare black 1/48 VF-1S intake shutters on it because that FP Green plastic looks really out of place.
14. My 2cents. I have no issue with Toynami at all. They do need to pollish up there production values though. I still have my VF-1S-FP (Roy) from them proudly on display since it is the best American version of that design on the market. But, Harmony Gold has in the past used a fair amount of rather lame legal actions to try to hold on to what they liscensec from another company. I too wish BigWest would just Superman through their Lois Lane ass legally. For example, you don't see Hasbro harrassing BBTS for selling Japanese product in the states, even when it is exactly the same mold/design. I have the whole MPC series including the VF-1R, and I do plan to get the 'Alphas' (>>Prays for the Beta/Tread to be produced.) but I and all of us know that the 1/48th is the King of all Macross toys so far. And I seriously doubt Toynami will ever surpass the exquisite degin of that toy, they may copy it or utilize some of the "perfect transformation" ideas I saw illustrated here a while back, but they have a long, long way to go to catch up in engineering dept. Admittedly the "Book Shelf" boxes are gorgeous, but I was annoyed that the VF-1J toy within did not live up to the packaging it came in. But by the time the Vf-1S all the way through the VF-1R (which mine was perfect from stem to stern.) had been released they semed to have fixed their production quality to an acceptable level. But once again at the same time Yamato had pretty much hammered out the flaws on their 1/48 series so that when the VF-1A "LV". was released the only thing that Toynami still beats them on, is of all things the damned hands (I still prefer the "gundam 1/100 rip-off" hands over the "Skeletal" hands of the 1/48.).. As for HG issuing C&D letters, I still damn them for putting the screw to John Moscato's Legioss project. So I have no love for them. And at this rate it looks like I never will.
15. RE: New Yamato VB-6 >>Squeals like Bobby Hill That proto is gorgeous! The "Robotmaster" toys from Takara look incredible. My wallet is going to cry. ALOT! Tee hee!
16. Preach it on the mountain-ah! At least with the kit I can say I contributed to the "impossible". That and it can be any color or deco I wish. And we've all wanted one of these kits, just because it is a work of art plain and simple. Th \e new toy looks awesome but I'd like to have a clone of it's "daddy" with the MW logo on it and know that I have a piece of what we can do we try as a community to fulfill our desires. Once again thanks to all of you who worked so hard to make this project a reality, especially Valkyrie for working so hard.
17. Addendum, adjust my request to ONE kit. The economic practicality of the toy makes buying multiple kits cost overkill in my book but by hell I do want one of the kit.
18. The laser agitated reaction thrust concept is not new and can work. BUT you would have to use a something like an isotope fuel source to produce enough electricity to run one and still be light enough to fly. I think I will be stopping by BAM this afternoon.
19. The bike in akira has an engine but the wheel hubs are big enough to use an electric motor/energy reclaimer for at wheel torque. I would use either a hydraulic transmission or the afformetioned electric motors in bike shaped like that. And it does look a bit squat compared to the anime's design.
20. I'm still on board for all 3 I requested, the kit looks absolutely magnificent and with much better part detail than what Yamato would offer in "toy form". Quick question for Valkyrie: Any thoughts on my recommendation for casting these in a color other than white? A good nuetral grey is still my recommendation.
21. Valkyrie, I'd just like to say you Rock! Thanks for the update. And once again thanks for the hard work.
22. The only bitch I got with the Toynami design is the shoulder sensor unit's mount and hinge. Damn that's fugly! If I get this product I will sure as hell rebuild those parts like that afternoon. I dig the subtle hinge in the vertical stabs, and the fact that hey incorporated most of the sweet features in the IMAI 1/48 kit in a figure that's considerably smaller. But I have to say that price tag is tad insulting. I agree this should be in the "Other Anime'" area.
23. Rush her to the nearest plastic surgeon for an ass augment job.
24. Nice paint job. Surprisingly accurate physical rendition of the artwork.
