Sam Raimi did mention a while back that Venom would not be in the film. So perhaps he's leaving the door open for Venom for another movie and it ends with Brock getting the symbiote. But aren't most of the actors signed up for only 3 movies? As for Harry, I'm pretty sure that's Harry with the Goblin gear. Why he's not in full mask and gear...beats me... Yes, I know. Which is why I said what I said. We have 2 HG 1/144 kits and now a Cosmic Region toy...Gold Frame bring gold plating to a HG 1/100....Something is fishy with that. The June Gundam rankings showed Akatsuki right behind Hyaku Shiki. And with sales as they are, I'm definitely seeing a HG 1/100 Akatsuki (or a some form of a 1/100. Akatsuki is based on Strike/Strike Rouge, so it would not be terribly hard to turn it to a MG...but I see that as a no) in the works. Some places are reporting a HG 1/144 Yzak GOUF Ignited and Blast Impulse, I could care little for those since they are HG 1/144. But HG 1/144s are throw out by the dozen so I'm not going to throw much into that area. On the MG front, the RX-75 Guntank seems to hear lots of rumors. A custom was done a while back and seems to have gotten some praise for it. MGs are a bit harder to look at but with most of the OYW line out there, I see no reason to not throw out a MG Guntank. 2chan rumors threw out Destiny and S-Freedom, but you know...it is 2chan, the home of Gundam photoshops and rumors. It could be out there since the HG 1/100s for those look absolutely terrible, but I'll chalk it up to 2chan having too much fun. Now I could go on with Out Frame and Testament, but I don't see much more than HG 1/144s with those. Anyways, this is just me looking at the market, take it with a grain of salt. Don't be surprised if this all turns out to be me on drugs.

I think we are or should be excluding anime from this discussion. Animation can do levels of sci-fi that live-action production can't on a "regular" budget.

This happened to have taken me to the last posts because that was the last one made since I hit the "Mark all posts as read" the last time I visited the forums. Think of it this way, if you visit the forums often enough, going to the last unread post will always take you to the last posting because you haven't read that one yet since you visit the forums so often. The other possibility is the thread you are going to has a low reply rate so anytime you go to that thread, any new post will go to the last post since that was the last unread post since you last visited that thread. Out of curiousity, which threads are you having this problem with?

Prediction time! Seeing this on Gunota http://www.mpsnet.co.jp/hobbynet/ProductOne.aspx?pno=23912 has given me the impression that a HG 1/100 Akatsuki may be in the works. Looking at HLJ and Hobby Search seems to indicate that Bandai is making just enough HG 1/144s to meet demand. Now I could be wrong, but I see this as a good possiblity. With the release of Gold Frame Amatu coming, we have a HG 1/100 with gold plating.

If there is one, you probably won't be able to find it. I recall seeing a HK M+ DVD somewhere but I never paid much attention to it. Or it could have been part of my imagination. Good luck in your search.

It was a special release CD that was only avaliable to people who bought the Japanese MII release back in 1992/93 (it sounded like a mail-in offer when one bought a copy of MII). Chances of finding seem slim on this end. I doubt there are any torrents or FTPs that have this file. You'll probably have to search around the Japanese P2P networks for any luck this this one.

I agree. Sci-Fi is expensive. How many times did Ron Moore complain in the podcasts for BSG about his budget? And true Sci-Fi also doesn't have a wide audience. Ron Moore considers BSG a character drama first, Sci-Fi second. This saves him from large budgets and gathers an audience. If Ron Moore wanted to make BSG really hardcore sci-fi, he would (a)run over budget, AND, (b)no studio would put that on the screen since the scope of the audience is so terribly small. Even Serenity is guilty of throwing in the "testosterone boost". If it didn't, it wouldn't sell. People want entertainment, if that means throwing in large explosions and fighting...well...that's what it's going to be.

There is a difference between the Pre-SWI Anti-UN and the Post-SW1 Anti-UN. You have to remember that the Pre-SW1 A-UN was made up of lots of independent countries who refused to join the UN. Then you had defectors who left the UN and joined the ranks of the A-UN. This is how the Anti-UN was able to produce the SV-51. DD and Nora took the VF data with them when they defected. They found a interested parties (countries) and the rest is history. There were more countries in closer proximity with the man-power to do it. The post SW1 A-UN is much more spread out less likely to start a war with the UN since the UN has a much greater fleet. The post SW1 A-UN is more likely to do hit-and-run tactics on supply convoys, kidnap people, make demands, etc., than declare open war on a group that could eliminate them with 1 shot. They don't have the resources in ideal locations to make such a move. With everybody spread out, you have more people likely to form their own faction with their own goals. Better times for the Anti-UN... ...not exactly. The VF-1 was ready to go into production 1 month before the incident in the Pacific (was was placed into production 2 months later). The engines used by the VF-1 were not ready, not the VF-1 itself. We don't know much about the situation of the Anti-UN at the time of M0. M0 may have been their last concentrated effort to make a stand. They may not have had the resources to continue large-scale operations after M0.

Nope. The 2 OSTs are the only ones that were ever released. There may have been additional tracks on various other general Macross CDs or on the special release CD (limited release only) MII single, but I don't believe there were any other tracks than those that came out on the OSTs.
