Let me ask a question. What are the chances that Singer will actually go through with this production? Could it be handed off to someone else if he decides to not go through with it. I read last week (maybe it was Superhero Hype or Dark Horizons) that Bryan Singer likes to start lots of projects but whether or not something will actually get green-lit normally is the $10M question. As I understand it, there's rumors that he's been approached for Wolverine 2.

They're like flies heading into the light, they just have to do it. They're trolling Seto cuz they know he'll respond to them. And in all those threads you guys have posted, they're just going to continue it to troll for people like Seto because they can get away with it. And guys like Seto will just keep falling for it. It ain't our problem here. It's Youtube's, RobotechX.com's, RobotechFactor.com's and RT.com's problem. The fact that they keep posting that stuff here makes them sound like gossiping women ("Oh, do you know what she said...").

I believe it's the latter. If I'm reading the statement correctly, it was Big West that challenged Tatsunoko's claim that Tatsunoko had IP rights to the designs and story. EXO is correct kresphy. They can make toys from it but their licensing rights, most likely, does not allow them to make new animation with those designs.

Well, RDM's BSG was made for the small screen and meant for a more episodic pace. The article in the OP is about a Hollywood-budget movie. So it's a little harder to compare the 2 formats.

Mospeada did it and that happened only a year after Macross. If they don't try to make it look "Macrossy", the RT crowd will come out crying bloody murder. But the animation designs aren't something that would translate to the big screen as well. Making modern jets look like a something decent without them turning into Bayformers can be done. This fanart did it, so it can't be THAT hard.

Don't you know? Robotech fans lack any creativity. I'm surprised that fan-booth didn't take Evangelion as a Bioroid or a Gundam as a "new" destroid.

I still don't see why you people are so fascinated with those "interesting" people on RT.com. They live in their own world and so do we. Ignoring them does wonders. And if you can't, well then, maybe you should stay over there and not bring their business over here. *hint hint* As for this whole "All things Robotech"-business, of course the own Robotech. Robotech is their product. Robotech is their creative property. They aren't saying they own Macross, Southern Cross, or Mospeada. They have licenses to those works. Robotech is their intellectual property. I still don't understand why people can't get this through their heads, on both ends of the argument.

It's about the same. You can get away with just Gundam markers, but it will look hundreds of times better if you paint. Dalong normally does a straight build on his review kits with no paint, stickers or decals. Check those out if you want a sense of just a no-paint build.
