  1. I'm still waiting for Bandai to release Master Grade kits of the Geara and Jagd Doga suits
  2. I've been pretty good at not spending lots of money on single items. The most expensive thing in my anime collection is the 1/144 Gundam Dendobrium kit.
  3. I've been playing the Japanese version for about 80 hours now and have been enjoying it quite a bit. There are a few things that I don't like, but they're few and far between enough to not bother me too much.
  4. That's not a bad price at all. At 16000 yen, that puts it in the same price range as the DX Chogokin Aquarion toy.
  5. You obviously haven't heard enough dubs!
  6. 48 was pretty good. Too bad my trip to Japan was only for a week, making me miss the final 2 episodes. I hope my friends that went don't spoil it for me if they happened to watch the final two. I hate to admit it, but I saw episode 48 witout seeing the episodes between it and 32, so I was a bit confused by what happened.
  7. I just saw the 3rd movie on Tuesday night. I really enjoyed it despite the fact that most of the animation is the old tv series animation. Overall, I'd say the movie was 60% old animation, 40% new. SPOILER......... I don't see how this new release makes Double Zeta not fit. The changes to New Translation don't seem to be severe enough to override plots in ZZ Gundam.
  8. I currently drive a 1996 Nissan Sentra GXE 5-speed with just over 205,000 miles on it. It still rides nicely, and I'm also proud of the fact that the car still has the original clutch!
  9. If I was able to afford to own a Z-tune, I'd definitely be driving it! To me there's no point of owning a car if you don't drive it.
  10. I saw the booth at the Tokyo International Anime Fair on Sunday. Sadly, they weren't allowing photos, but I was very impressed by what I saw! The line art for it was simply amazing, as was the little bit of footage they managed to show. The booth was topped by an awesome tachikoma model.
  11. That was pretty cool. I wouldn't mind actually watching this show! Dai-X reminds me a lot of the Ideon robot from Space Runaway Ideon.
  12. I'll try to get some pictures of this when I visit the TAF on the 25th!
  13. The Evo would be cool if it didn't have the risk of falling apart long before the 350Z would. I wouldn't trust any Mitsubishi car any further than I can throw it.
  14. You didn't know that he did the mechanical designs for that? I can't wait to get my copy. That will definitely be the first book that I buy when I get to Japan next week!
  15. Nope. Kawamori has stated that he will not go back to Hukaru, Misa, and the Megaroad-1 story.
  16. In the original Macross there was no global war prior to the crashing of the Macross. That's a Robotech timeline event.
  17. I ask this question to a friend of mine who supercharged his '03 Tiburon GT all the time. The thing that I think is the worst part about it is that lazy bastard has an automatic Tiburon. Maybe it's just me, but I think any car that's supposed to be a "sports" car should be manual.
  18. But I thought you liked Eureka 7, Graham.... I mean, you did buy the toys! Along with the Macross Zero stuff, the Eureka 7 stuff is the other reason to buy the book.
  19. Cool! I know one book that I'm looking for two weeks from now when I'm in Tokyo!
  20. I only watched the awards up until they did best animatd film. Much to my disappointment, Howl's Moving Castle didn't win.
  21. Where do you think all the profits from their automotive division go to?
  22. My screenname is actually my birthday. Beltane is an old Celtic holiday that traditionally occurs on May first. Add the 70 from 1970, and you have my screenname and birthday.
  23. This is the main reason why I'm buying the ADV set. The other reason is, of course, Mari Iijima reprising her role.
  24. For the most part, the mobile suits in Gundam don't actually require the platforms, they're more for added mobility. Even though quite a few mobile suits lack the ability for prolonged flight, they usually have enough thrust to break a fall if they did fall off.
  25. It was pretty obvious how Aries got injured. Even without them showing it, it was pretty clear that Aries was critically injured when some of the damaged equipment that supported the head of the bird-human collapsed ontop of her, even though the scene changes just before it happens.
