Has there been any mention at all of the toys being designed for mating in bot mode?

I was out at lunch today and stopped by Gamestop to see if anything new or exciting had come out and I aksed if they had seen any slow-down in Wii demand, the guy at the counter who i have been buying games from for the last decade said, "man, you haven't got one yet? hold on a second." goes to the back and comes out with a Wii and said they had one left from their shipment yesterday and no-one had come in asking for it then proceeded to tell me how the calls come in non stop when they are out of stock, but as soon as a shipment arrives, the calls mysteriously stop until just after they sell out. While he was ringing me up two people came in and he got two calls asking for Wii's and Wii laughed So there's my Wii story. I picked up Play and Zelda, any other "Don't Miss" titles out so far? I have been going through my PS2 RPG librabry catching up on old titles and haven't been paying much attention to the Wii fanfare since they haven't been available in stores for me up until now.

Aye Captain! Thanks again for another cool offer. I assembled my first one yesterday here at the office, it is prepped for paint sitting at the feet of my MSLZZ 1/72 monster. Another excellent sculpt and cast, i have to say I really appreciate the way you set up your molds so the flashing/pour spout is always hidden once the parts are assembled, it makes clean up a breeze

Glad to hear you have your shop set up, sorry about the buddy thing, but we all know how that goes. Thanks for taking a peek at the thread too. I have all my sub assemblies pretty much finished, arm cannons and the chasis are all puttied up and sanded down. I want to be able to show off the engine compartment, but i don't think i want it open all the time, still contemplating that. I'll be sure to throw up a picture or two when I have made a little more progress. This thing is such an awesome project my brother and sister were over the other night and I have it all pegged together standing under my TV, they were in awe of the size of it. I had my Phalanx, Defender and Tomahawk all standing next to it's feet for size comparrison, wicked cool.

Any of you guys that have built your Monsters, or Mike if you are watching, I am getting really close to prepping for paint and the kit was very straightforward and for the most part easy to put together without instructions, but I have a couple extra pieces, I am confounded on where they might go. I don't have pictures with me, but first, the clear red option pieces for lighting, is the large red tear drop shaped piece intended to go on the underside of the cockpit, or maybe on the rear hatch? The other piece may be essential to something but I am clueless, I need to get a picture, but it looks like a hatch arm or something to do with the rear door/engine cover, it looks just like the outter arm cannon covers but it has semi-circular knobs on the ends. Well that was a piss poor description, it is approximately 3 inches long, one inch wide, one quarter inch thick with discs at each corner. I need to see some top down, bottom up and front / rear / side views of a fully assembled kit, anybody got some posted Edit~ I just looked over both HWR and Mike's completed monster threads, I am 99% sure this is just an option part thinking it is a support for the rear door if you want to display the engine compartment open.

I think it looks great too, you know what they say, we are our own worst critics. If you aren't satisfied with the way it came out, I can hardly wait to see what one you are happy with looks like Keep building!

I mighta missed a post but was there a definite re-issue of the 1/72 monster coming? I am working on mine right now (having a mental battle over whether to paint it canon or go crazy and do a low-vis digital camo version) and I was thinking about getting another one to work up for my brother for christmas if you do another run.....

You'd think, but a ton of games, going way back, like Warhammer 40K in the late 80's gave the commander types access to preferred gear. They have some idealized vision that the commanders are the elite troops, combat veterans that fought their way through many battles, that or they were the ones who got to order the equipment and therefore kept the coolest, biggest, meanest guns for themselves.

Oh, yeah, don't get me wrong as long as I don't suffer any employment issues or major crises, I would totally be in for some 1/48 destroid action. I could use my Captain 1/72 collection for display in the house and 1/48's, hell I'd have to build recessed pedestals in the walls or something, but they would be bad ass!

Have you scrapped the idea of doing the SDF kit you were thinking about doing? I have never had the opportunity to get a decent kit of the ship, and am still highly interested. I was never a fan of the toy version, it just totally lacked detail, and the recasts of old Japanese kits don't do much for me either.

Kudos on the hard work pulling together the materials and putting it in a format. I hope that you can work out a deal and earn an income for work you appear to have enjoyed doing. To heck with the people who didn't do any of the work and want the rewards for free. Keep us informed on any progress you make in your project, I know there are a few around here who would support it.

It could be information on the PSP game, I think I read a tidbit someplace that it more than likely is going to be a tangent storyline that may or may not deal with Kratos in the Olympus storyline. ~ Edit~ Well the IGn article torpedo's that guess, I wonder what it is. I have been assuming that the next game, if that be for PS3 will deal with Kratos brother mentioned in the bonus content of the first game, but I haven't beat part two yet, so I am sure there is information I am missing. I am excited I am currently battling the first Sister of Fate in God mode on GoW2, I have died about a hundred times, three times with her stunned and ready for the finishing combo due to environmental damage or simultaneous hits, I just about had a stroke at midnight last night trying to beat her It allowing me to take my time going through the game though, I plowed through God of War 1 too quickly.

LOL Yeah, and you know what? Some people like cheese. I like cheesy horror movies and I dig some cheesy 70's anime. I'll check out their movie, I watched BoTP when i was little, bought and watched the entire Gatchaman series last year and enjoyed it immensely. Entertainment doesn't have to make sense for me, and I try no tto have unrealistic expectations. If you think gatchaman/botp was mind numbingly stupid, well, in the immortal words of the prophet "Everlast" ..... "If you don't get it, it wasn't for you!"

I pounded my way through God of War one in about three days, that game was beautiful. I just borrowed my brother's copy of God of War 2 and started out on God Mode the night before last, that game is just stunning, I am continually impressed with the amount of power they keep pulling out of the PS2, the controls are great, I have trouble finding any significant flaws at all in the game. Good good stuff.

If I had to guess? Lots of people who shop at Walmart and "Hate them black bars on ma teevee" types. Just a guess though.

Just a thought on the subject of "bringing it over". This isn't a fix for everyone, but if they release the series on BluRay disc, and since we are in the same Blu Ray region as Japan, HG is out of luck on laying any claim to the Macross name, because we can legally import Japanese discs and those fancy Blu Ray discs have plenty of room for an english language subtitle track

LOL, you may have already been on that path, but I think Grayson basically just outlined the begining of a private enterprise that could set you up in business for life Knowing the quality of your work, I bet you can put together some modular stuff that could work for Macross or about any flight/mecha model in existence. From the oldest planes to grace hanger bays to the most futuristic giant robots that inhabited space/air craft carriers for mid to high end modellers. Good idea for the win!

Here was the thread about it, and there is a picture on this page that gives you a decent idea of the scale MW 1/72 monster kit thread I gotta build mine, I have two of Cap's destroids ready for paint, I should do my pre-assembly on the Monster and paint them all together. Weather is looking pretty nice for the next five days, and I have a lot of kits/projects ready for paint. I hope I stay motivated

Small world, my friends and I play on Thorium Brotherhood. I really like playing on the RP server, way less D3wdSp34k than on the other servers I tried out. I came over from EQ a while back adn never looked back. My horde toons are collecting dust these days, I haven't played my 60 priest since the expension came out, started up a bunch of alliance characters and have been having fun playing through the game from the alliance perspective. Over on the Horde side I have a 60 troll priest, a 27 Orc Shaman, a 25 Tauren warrior and a 20ish Undead Warlock Alliance wise I have a 38 Human Paladin, 36 Night Elf Hunter and a 28 Draenei Shaman that I am flipping back and forth between at the moment. All my buddies except for my brother are still plowing away on the Horde side,
