  1. Damn I wish the Legioss / Beta Fighters were better designed to better represent this image. So damn iconic. And intimidating, if you're an inbit! Check out all those weapons! Bad @s$.
  2. I think the Klingons were Season 3? Or 4? Can't remember. I watched this series from the beginning last year. (or the year before, I can't recall). Anyhow, do yourself a favor. Just watch it from the start. It's a lot of fun. And there are constant references to characters, plot elements and so on from previous episodes. If you just jump in, you'll miss out.
  3. Compared to your work, yes, I do agree with you Cap. However, I think as a mass produced model kit, it looks pretty cool. It's a different take on the Legioss. But it's really growing on me. Can't wait to get my hands on it. But again...why 1/72?
  4. Man, I use to love that show. Saw it recently again, and, well, it wasn't like Macross. Macross I think I enjoy MORE as an adult than as a kid. I don't think I can bring myself as an adult to watch more than one or two episodes of MASK. That's the beauty of anime. It's aimed for more mature, older audiences. Whereas the MAJORITY (But NOT all) of US produced cartoons are the opposite, and lack that enduring appeal. (South Park, Simpsons and even the new Thundercats are exempt). Now, with that said, that is why I feel Nolan's take on Batman is a blueprint that other movies should follow, especially in the comic book sense. It's aimed for more mature audiences. After I saw TDK, I could NOT bring myself to watch more than a few seconds of Schumachers or Burton's Batman movies without getting annoyed at all the...cheese. For lack of a better word. The writing that caters to the lowest common denominator. I will watch TDK ten years from now, and enjoy the hell out of myself.
  5. Yes! That is one of the brilliant things about Frontier. It literally referenced pretty much the entire Macross universe prior to it. Wasn't it released on the 25th anniversary of Macross too? A nice THANK YOU to the fans.
  6. eugimon, That pic of the CF 1J is just rockin'! Makes me really want that figure now! I saw you have the Hikaru TV 1J with the gray visor. Does this release have the shoulder issues too? Or has yours been good?
  7. I use to think Rob Base was hard core when I was younger. Now when I listen to him, can't help but laugh. Some music is NOT like wine.
  8. I don't know why, but that just makes me want to see it.
  9. I have an extra set if you are interested. Send me a PM. They will probably go up for sale on evil bay this week. My eBay ID is the same as my MacrossWorld ID.
  10. She looks DAMN good as Catwoman. Can't wait to see this!
  11. Chad Newhall is hilarious! This is classic!
  12. That is the best summary of this film I've ever read. You are absolutely correct. There NEEDS to be MORE films like this one made. More driving would have been nice, but they did a great job developing the characters, but also making them all real. And I just have to say it... Ron Pearlman is still a pimp.
  13. His wife dies? "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Ha ha! I think show don't tell works well in most circumstances. Let the actors, act. They don't always need to say their emotions. Show it. We'll get it. Watch the first moments of Brad Pitt's reaction in Se7en when he sees the contents of the box Kevin Spacey sent him. Works just as well. Even better perhaps. The "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" in Episode three doesn't bother me as much as the Jedi added on "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Sure, I guess it works, if you are trying to force feed the emotion to the audience. But watch the original cut vs the new cut, and I promise you, the original cut, without the "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" is much, much more powerful. Food for thought. Just an opinion, and it takes different strokes to move the world.
  14. Been listening to "The Last of the Mohicans," by Trevor Rabin. Brilliant score.
  15. I think audiences are wanting better storytelling in their movies. It's good to see some films are making a better effort. But then again, for every "Drive," we get a shitfest Micheal Bay "film".
  16. What's funny is, Jackson said there are even MORE scenes that were filmed that were NOT added to the extended scenes. He joked about releasing another version of the Trilogy, with ALL the cut scenes added. So, instead of making a day out of it, you'd probably need to take a week off work to get through all those! Too bad the Blu doesn't have all the bonus material. It's actually some of the BEST BTS stuff I've seen on a DVD. But I think it's more for the die hard LOTR fans.
  17. So, it was so bad it crossed the line into the realm of fun cheese?
  18. Ron Moore spearheaded DS9. I agree, it is a great show. I loved the characters, and how DS9 became a focal point of the war between the Federation and the Dominion. Great stuff. Some of the most exciting episodes in all of Star Trek.
  19. I *LOVED* the original Thundertank as a kid. I never had it, but one of my neighbors did. And I would play with that damn toy every time I came over!
  20. But Luke did the "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" in the first two SW Film. I guess using this logic, we should cut to Han Solo on Endor saying, "I have a bad feeling about this." Then cut back to Vader picking up the Emperor, and Luke screaming his "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO", because he knows his father is going to die saving his crybaby son from the Emperor. Then maybe, at that point, Vader can realize this too, and scream, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" knowing he just killed himself. And the Emperor screams "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" knowing he's about to to be thrown into the Death Star laser pit thingie. Cut back to Endor, where Leia get shot in the arm, and she screams, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" cause it hurts like a mutha fu<ka getting shot in the shoulder from a laser blaster. Cut to Han seeing her get shot, and he screams "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Then, do a split screen, where all five characters yell "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" This is how Jedi needs to end. Screw Wedge blowing up the death star. Screw the ewoks celebration. Just everyone yelling "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
  21. You are absolutely right. I love the 0S. But I won't touch one with a 20 foot pole. Not for $200 + USD. Even the V2 1:60s are fragile. Durability, engineering, style and playability are key for me. Money is getting harder and harder to come by these days. I don't want to buy a 2 or 3 hundred dollar paper weight.
