  1. I think we need to slow down on estimated pricing. I've seen some CRAZY pricing here in HK that is not the same as the rest of world and vice versa. It really depends on : a) area you intend to sell to b) if there are demands for it Example: There is a mint SDF-1 here for sale on the forums for 900 USD! If you check ebay, in the USA, it may be worth a maximum of 500 USD yet MOST slightly yellowed but complete or minty white complete but beat boxed versions goes for 150-200 USD MAX. Average is ~ 100-120 USD. I've also seen original mint Bandai / Takatoku Super O and Elints asking for 600-700 USD here but ebay says otherwise in the US. So it really depends. You can ask for all you want but the demand will confirm the actual value of the item.
  2. I am just like Godzilla (in mindset, not wallet size ) and need to have details, quality and in lined SCALE. My first ever Valkyrie was a 1/48. I skipped the old Bandais, the old Jetfires, Yamato's M+, Bandai's M7 and etc... because I always felt there was something lacking despite the prices. I could have always bought one but never did. It was expensive for the old school Valks new and its true for the 1/48s now. But at the end of the day, I play with my 1/48s more and enjoy it more than I would ever with any other Valkyrie due to the details. I can live with a smaller size up to a point (no 1/100 sizes) but the details are a must. Sure, the 1/48s have the details and the 1/60s have the most complete line, but hey, thats what customs are for right? Anything less is too mass market which means lowest sellable quality, detail and size product with the highest profit margin by the manufacturer. It is not a loved or nurtured product (most of the time) and thats not the kind of customer I am. I'm all about the premium lines, prices be damned. Work harder to attain your goals.
  3. Saw it over CNY. Never read Hellblazer or knew of the background story for the movie. Was it worth the 40 HKD ~ 5.50 USD? Yes. Good effects, nice story, and sarcastic humor. The hell scenes, demons and angel effects were top notch, but not enough of it. There were also not a lot of "fill in the gap" for those who knew nothing about the comics, and at times, Keanu was Keanu... At times, it was slow and not enough guns blazing or killing for me, but hey, I'm one of the few here that actually likes Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay movies. Action wise, I thought Underworld was much much better. They left the movie opened for a second chapter. If Keanu can improve his performance from the first Matrix up to the third, and repeat it here, then I would look forward to the next possible sequel.

    What scale Destroids?

1/48 because if I had to choose one and if one company made only one version, it should be the best possible, in terms of details, accuracy and being Perfect Variable. After seeing those PG Gundam kits and all the covernsion kits, I can't help but to buy into the bigger is better mantra: EG: HG, MG, and PG Grade of any Gundam (custom or not), the PG just blows everthing out of the water. OK, I lied. I would give up all of my 1/48s for a FULL 1/35 scale Macross lineup (valkyries included). And this time around, I want HASEGAWA to sculpt everything Macross!
  5. I figure the content of the forums and main website would give off that impression. But I guess flash and lots of SD Hentai is what it takes nowadays to attract mature members. How wrong I am...
  6. Those are awesome RCs. I almost bought the guntank but it was yellow and not the green version. I might go back and pick one up for customizing instead. Its definately toy grade and not "hobby" grade, but hell, it looks way cool. Could definately see this in a Macross side story during Space War 1.
  7. AA, Looking GOOD. Is this for your Freespace mod? I remember seeing the revitalized Macross/Robotech mod thread there. Would be cool as an addition to the HW Macross mod (non-canon).
  8. I love the VF-2SS! Is it me or does the front half look a tad like Yukikaze? I love those birds too.
  9. Rodavan, Can I ask for a favor? Would you be able to render all the custom squadron colors? Such as Engima, Blue Rose (all 3 versions), Angel Birds, and etc... and don't forget the Cannon Fodder! It would be great to have some reference pictures for the model and customizing guys! also, it would help us visualize pre-custom colors to see how they would look.
  10. I can't think of anything right now but before and after the fix pictures would definatelyhelp. I'm pretty sure the current molds are shot since it has pulled 2-3 runs already. We can fix the masters and get better molds made. Everyone who wants on on MW will get "hooked up" if the project is a go.
  11. DA just displaced my current wallpapers! Thunderhammer Whore / Freak I am! Can you send hires pics to my email? I can zip them up and BT it for everyone.
  12. aaajin, Great looking Max 1S! Is that Rohby's recast head or an original? I can't tell!!! Now go paint the wing too!
  13. It would be great if I can get a detailed writeup to fix the flaw and show it to GS. Please PM me to discuss new kit purchases and will need a minimum of 15 orders to get this project going due to having new molds made. At least 10% off or better.
  14. I just realized how incredible Master Cheng is AGAIN and why Hasegawa's and Master Cheng's magic touches makes these Valkyries the best in my book! Plausible features, incredible details and overall atmosphere makes these Valkyries as realistic as they can be for now. So glad to see these "improvements" over the linearts any day! God Bless Master Cheng and Hasegawa!
  15. Which one is the 2nd on the bottom right? The Alaska 1A? Looks like it. And what about the grey 1J?
  16. This is one of the screw ups of ebay. Why are there continuous small incremental bids from each of those 3? Shouldn't the auto bid system work by bidding only after someone has outbidded you previously? A - $1 B - $2 C- $3 B-$4 C-$5 B-$6 C-$7 Whats the point of having each bidder just upping their bids when no one else was bidding? Thats just plain stupid or am I missing something here? Good for the seller but dumb on the buyers part.
  17. Do you have clearer shot of this? I have the G-Systems kit. I agree with you. Beautiful casting, nice photoetch, crap decal sheet (Devin, more PMs coming). If I can fix this in my kit, I can have G-Systems fix it in their next cast. If anyone needs a kit, let me know.
  18. Add Tamiya, Mr Color or food coloring (any water based) clear tints to future acrylic floor polish, dip the piece in and let it dry. Walla. Super Sheen plus tint! You can also brush it on, airbrush it, spray it or dip it. No need to thin. Man, future is GREAT STUFF. If you screw up, you can soak it in future, windex or Castrol Super Clean to eat the layer off and redo it. It won't harm the plastic (ABS, PVC or Styrene). But test the soaking just in case.

    Fast Pack yf-19

Oops! I got it mixed up. IHP is the current sculpter. That PV YF-19 was made by Hayato Kobayashi. I believe he was a candidate for the resculpt.

    Fast Pack yf-19

Its made by the guy who is now supposedly working for Yamato on the YF-19 resculpt. Besides, that kit bash will need a LOT of reworking to be made into a toy. The tooling is different, the joints are flimsy (by toy production standards) and a lot of reworking is required before a mass production unit becomes viable. I have a few days off here since I can't fly home to the states so I'll see what can be done to a Hasegawa kit. I had intended to look at it anyways as a personal project.
  21. Factually, you should get whichever one you can find! Those things are getting scarce (again).
  22. Castrol Super Clean? I don't know if it eats glue but it eats organics really good. And its ABS plastic safe. I have a piece soaked in it for over 4 months (forgotton about it) and its perfect.
