Macross is not dead in HK. Its just sold out! Seriously hard to find 1/48s now... I know of the two Storm Attackers. One is for sale (New G shop) but the other is not. I heard the molds have deteriorated already so a new batch is unlikely. Its just rumors though.

I am so with Haterist on this! Instead of asking Yamato, setup a poll here and lets get the Captain to make this for us! I'm down for my 1/48 Destroid Squads now! All 6 regiments of them! BTW: Amortizing the cost of the destroid from a manufucturer does save a LOT of money but when they hike up the SRP, well, thats where most of your savings goes down the toilet.

Great Job! I need to take some vacation so I could start my squadrons! Keep modeling!

Gunze just came out with Mr. Resin Primer! Better than Mr. Surfacer 1200 from what the model shop guys told me. I just picked up a spray can and will let you guys know how it works once I get the time to try it. But the Tamiya Metal and Plastic Primer is what most guys use for resins over here.

Looks fantastic! I love the FFR-31 too but this is a close second for Yukikaze plane. Need to unload more of my collection now.

I'm wondering if they will ever come out with the Blue Knight and Testarossa variants.

Beautiful! Where do I sign up for my order?

How about adding in SDF-6 Darkqueen II or Vahalla III as launch carriers? I need these! Beautiful work as always Devin.

VF-0S? I would say create something different: GBP or Thunder Hammer Valk Girl like the Gundam EX-S Girl figure! I wish I can find that figure now...

Have no idea! Try another primer such as Mr color Mr Surfacer, Tamiya Metal and Plastic Primer or better yet, auto paint primer (expensive). You might want to try to soak the resin part in dishwashing liquid + water solution overnight to eat all the release agent off or use something stronger like Castrol Super Clean. I love using CSC to clean the house. Amazingly great stuff that doesn't do well to remove Valkyrie paint for some reason.

You know, that would be a great frame for a diorama like those big custom Millenium Falcons and other huge scaled Star Wars playsets. I would buy it for customizing.

ok, before my 3rd business trip (sigh), I snapped some pics under sunlight. It looks blue in the picture but it really is still purplish blue.

Quality was fantastic! I will need to buy the R2 DVD now! Waiting for my paycheck to come now!!!

Ok so here is a mini review: It is light. Lighter than Millia's box due to having no pilot figure. It is the same exact mold except it's purplish blue and not the baby blue as we all had thought. The baby blue photoshop really got me liking it but the purplish blue is nice in a different way. If I had a choice, I would pick the baby blue version though. The trim consists of a light coffee hue. Articulation is just as good or as little as Millia's version. It still suffers from heavy backpack tilt back syndrome without a pilot figure. So how does it look and compare to another 80-100 figure? I broke open a brand new 1/60 VF-1S for comparison and let me say this: The Q-Rau is definately the better value to me. I've only owned 1/48s and the 1/60 is for a custom job and comparing them, the Q-Rau towers over the 1/60 and is heaps better quality, better molding and better materials despite lacking the transformability which it never had. No Big loss for me. Posability is actually pretty good (stick in a pilot) and looks fantastic next to either 1/60 or 1/48. There are QC issues. The top left inlet (tan) is chipped on mine but thats it. There are still mold seams but the rest of the paint job looks really good. Better than Max and Millia's Super 1Js. The back pack piece is painted blue for some reason and NOT molded in the same blue plastic. You can definately see the difference in hues which is a turn off for me. If you nab it for 80ish, its not bad. If you can find it for less, its a must get. If you only collect 1/48s, just get one of each for posing and to have, since you have no other good choices. Note pictures were taking with incandescent lighting which looks crappy. I will take some pictures under sunlight when I can. 7.5 out of 10

Try these tips: 1) Note places where the paint is coming off 2) Take Valkyrie apart 3) Sand down offending area that is rubbing and ruining your paint job 4) Put back together (don't screw it down yet) and repeat to step 1. DO NOT SAND SO MUCH MATERIAL THAT IF LOOSENS OR INCREASE THE FRAGILITY OF YOUR TOY. YOU WANT TO REMOVE AS LITTLE MATERIAL AS POSSIBLE TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THE PART YOU ARE MODIFYING! 5) After confirming area is not in contact and won't rub anymore, repaint or paint the parts you want 6) Clear coat (thinly) a few times to protect the final paint job 7) Put Valkyrie back together
